This Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15 Gaming laptop, model number 82K1015EUS, ships with a Integrated 45Wh, Lithium-Polymer Battery, which within this model configuration, has a battery life of up to 6 hours, depending on the work the device is performing. To maximize battery life, switch your Power Management Settings to Hybrid Mode to maximize battery life. Some additional tips for maximizing battery life are: First, set your screen brightness at less than 100-percent - try 80-percent to start with. Then, be sure Battery Charge Threshold is turned off. This power management setting should only be used when the laptop is plugged in all the time. It will prolong overall battery life by only charging the battery to 60-percent of capacity. You can turn off Battery Charge Threshold within the Lenovo Vantage APP installed on this computer. In Vantage select Battery Settings and turn off Battery Charge Threshold, if turned on. Also check what programs are running in the background on the computer. Be sure only the programs you want running in the background are. These programs will drain the battery. Here is a link to information about how to find out what programs are running in the background on your Windows 11 computer and how to manage them for better system performance: https://websiteforstudents.com/how-to-find-what-is-running-in-windows-11/. Then, finally, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 11. Incompatible software will drain the battery at a faster rate. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom of your Windows 11 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686. Lenovo

DON'T BUY THIS if you use a USB-C docking station!

Unbelievable that a laptop with this much video capability would have a data-only USB-C port. It took me hours to find out why my LENOVO Thinkpad docking station wouldn't work with my LENOVO Ideapad laptop. Tech support tells me there is no way to configure the USB-C port to handle video. I was planning to use this with my existing two docking stations. Now I don't know how I can use my monitors and keyboard with this computer. SO disappointed!!!!

We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15 Gaming Laptop, model number 82K1015EUS. First, since the computer was working properly, then developed the issue, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 11 and this laptop's specific configuration, including the games you have installed. Additionally, there is no need to install Microsoft Office software. Here is a link to instructions for uninstalling McAfee from a Windows computer:  https://service.mcafee.com/?articleId=TS101331&page=shell&shell=article-view You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom of your Windows 11 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If there is no incompatible software installed and the game you where playing when the issue occurred is compatible with the IdeaPad 3 15 Laptop's configuration but the issues persist, now check to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 11 on the computer. Then update all BIOS files and drivers up to that latest version of Windows 11. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 11. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. If the issue continues after these updates, and you have not restored the computer back to original factory settings yet, restoring the computer back to its original factory settings may correct the issue. It's a great laptop. It can run many games on the highest graphics settings with no issues. If you're not looking for the best of the best and you need a portable computer, this is the one to get. The downloading and loading speeds are a little slower than I would like, but they are still fast for the price. The battery life is like any laptop's. It dies in an hour and a half. But, if you keep it plugged in all the time, no issues!

Be sure the HDMI cable you are using is HDMI 2.0 compatible or better. Also check the refresh rate settings on the monitor and check the resolution requirements for the refresh rate you want to use. Try 1080p, then scale up from there to test maximum resolution and refresh rate settings. Your monitor may not default to 165Hz and you may need to manually set the refresh rate. We recommend you check the monitor manufacturer's web site for compatibility and requirements. Lenovo
