Great alternative to Go 3, but not as fancy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Microsoft’s Surface Go 3 is only $20 more, but doesn’t come with a keyboard; a third party magnetically attaching (but Bluetooth connecting) keyboard/screen cover will cost you another $35 or so. Both have rear kickstands which is HUGE for laptop use. Both have excellent IPS screens for Netflix. You have to keep an eye on the Go with only 64gb of storage and this Duet 3i has 128gb (for example, I manually clean up larger update files) while you can be a little sloppy with the Duet 3i). The processor in the Go 3 is almost as fast as the prior generation m3. The processor in the Duet 3i is on par with the processor in the earlier Go 1 and Go 2 base models. 4gb of RAM is enough on all of those and these. I noticed no improvements on my 4gb vs 8gb low end laptops. A similarly equipped Chomebook is zippier but has other limitations. I recommend this now discontinued Duet 3i for pure bang for the book. The slightly wider keyboard helps. The buy-in cost is less of a sticker shock than the Go 3 with official keyboard. Either will serve in classroom for notes and research, plus very good Netflix. Most budget laptops have lousy video. Note: I’ve tried iPads with keyboards, but iPad keyboards with built in trackpads are still rare and the lack of a trackpad is too limiting. Finally, Windows 11 assures next gen security hardware.

However, touch screen stops working occasionally and it becomes difficult to reactivate, especially when attached keyboard is separated. Secondly micro-SD card is not recognized by it. Thus, memory can't be extended as claimed. I don't know if it is the problem with my unit or it is generic problem.

We recommend checking for updates through Windows Update settings. These updates can help resolve issues from operating system bugs to driver software improvements. To navigate there, select start on the taskbar (windows logo) or press the windows key on the keyboard then select Settings. In Settings, select Windows Update, and then select the Check For Updates button. Install any available updates and restart your PC if required. If you didn’t have any updates that required a restart, it’s still a good idea to restart your device to make sure any pending updates are installed. Additionally, check for updates in the Lenovo Vantage application that is preinstalled on Windows devices.
