Keyboard is back-lit and can be set to any single color, cycle through colors or off. Case is sturdy plastic. The cons: The textured plastic is a fingerprint magnet. When laptop is carried vertically with hinge towards the bottom, the hinge has enough slop the laptop opens up about 1/4".
