Hello, we are sorry to hear you are having this experience with the Lenovo Legion 5 gaming laptop model # 81Y6000DUS. This unit is rated for 6.8 hours battery life. Please keep in mind that gaming laptops require a tremendous amount of power draw to run their hefty graphics cards and ultra fast processors. Running this machine under full load will not yield you maximum battery life. Gaming laptops are meant to game plugged in, yet still give you the portability to pack them up and go, or use them for internet surfing/ productivity when on the battery. If you are experiencing less than advertised battery life while not gaming or under heavy load We recommend setting the screen brightness to some value below 100% that is still comfortable for you to view. Next be sure Battery conservation Mode is turned off. This power management setting should only be used when the laptop is plugged in all the time. It will prolong overall battery life by only charging the battery to 60-percent of capacity. Here is a link to instructions for turning off Battery Conservation Mode: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht103159. Also check what programs are running in the background on the computer. Be sure only the programs you want running in the background are. These programs will drain the battery. Here is a link to information about how to find out what programs are running in the background on your Windows 10 computer and how to manage them for better system performance: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-prevent-apps-running-background-windows-10. Then, finally, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. Incompatible software will drain the battery at a faster rate. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Legion Ultimate Tech Support at: 888-278-9707 Lenovo

We are sorry to hear that you had issues with the webcam on your Lenovo Legion 5 15 Gaming Laptop, model number 81Y6000DUS. This model ships with a 720p (HD) webcam with manual Privacy Shutter built in. Be sure the manual Privacy Shutter is open before you try to use the webcam as the webcam will not function with the manual Privacy Shutter closed. There will be a red dot over the webcam lens when the Privacy Shutter is closed. This red dot disappears when the Privacy Shutter is open and indicates that the webcam is ready to use. To open the manual Privacy Shutter, there is a small tab, directly above the webcam lens. Slide the tab to the right, all the way, to open the Privacy Shutter. The red dot disappears from the webcam lens, now the webcam is ready to use. Just slide the tab to the left when you are done with the webcam to close the Privacy Shutter, insuring your webcam can not be accessed. If the issue continues, we recommend you call Legion Ultimate Support for additional help at: 888-278-9707. Lenovo

I am really disappointed to read all of these amazing reviews when I have had a terrible experience so far. I really wanted to love this laptop. The battery is AWFUL. It went from 100% (literally unplugging it) to 35% in less than two hours. I bought this for school so I need something that can actually be portable and not require me to be tethered to the wall. Everything else is pretty good, though. I am having issues connecting to the Wi-Fi at school, but that might be me. It works at home, though, so I can only assume it is the device. Anyways, it would and could be amazing, but I am likely to exchange this.

I have had Asus laptops my whole life and when my little sister asked for her first laptop I decided to go with the best deal instead of old reliable Asus thinking it’s her first rig I can test out the waters with another brand, complete mistake the laptop was great for about one day then it started to freeze after any average use, movies music games anything it would freeze 20min in any usage and wouldn’t respond till force restart. Complete disappointment for her first pc experience. Wasted 100$ tax on this pc.

Bought this laptop in 2020 it’s now 2023 and I’m still enjoying playing on it. I’ve played Monster Hunter, the Sims, countless farming sims and it has held up. Upgraded the memory to 16gb but it has been holding up. screen could be a smidge better and of course the battery once unplugged is not good but it’s for gaming it does need power.

I studied laptops online looking for the processor, ram, inputs and price. This laptop met all my wants and needs. After setting it up I was very impressed. I'm also impressed with the fantastic customer service with Lenovo....I had to call at least 3 times to ask how to navigate certain setups and a couple questions. They were great and enjoyed speaking with me unlike some customer services. I am absolutely glad I bought this laptop. Speed, looks and overall placement of all it's inputs. Very smart design and very fast processing.
