I use it primarily for schoolwork and gaming. Construction of the laptop is solid and seems pretty durable, be aware that the charger itself is heavy and bulky, and the laptop has a bit of heft to it while not being heavy. As far as non-gaming functions go, it runs perfect and I haven't run into any compatibility errors or poor performance while doing typical office-type tasks. When it comes to gaming, I can run older games and High and Ultra settings, games like Skyrim run consistently for me at high settings. One thing to keep in mind is that after a while of gaming, the laptop fans will kick in pretty loud and it'll put off a decent bit of heat. There is an option to lower performance in exchange for a cooler, quieter run, but I haven't felt a need to use it. The heat isn't particularly noticeable when it's on a hard surface, and if your volume is on, you're not likely to notice the fan whirring either. I got the laptop on sale for around $950, for the price and quality of the laptop, I'm very pleased with it.

The keyboard is very comfortable and not very loud when typing. It has a pretty good cooling system and it is completely silent when set in silent mode. I think the only downside to this one is that the 120Hz screen is a bit dim; you will most likely be using it on +80% brightness at all times. If you don't have a problem with that, this one is a good deal.

Love the rear ports to keep your work space clean. I most definitely wouldn't have purchased if it didnt have any connections in the rear. Only con is that its 250 nits, but its fine for me since i mainly work indoors and in a shaded room. If your office is in a room where lots of sunlight come in, opt for the 144hz model.

Due to the small battery it’s about 3 hours and that’s on very light use. I guess if you found a bigger battery you could take empty hard drive caddy out to make space. But I’m using this mainly as a desktop replacement. Beautiful display, great keyboard, great performance. If battery life isn’t a concern, pick this laptop up.

This model ships with a 4CELL_60WH_INTERNAL, Lithium Polymer Battery, which within this configuration, has a battery life of up to 5 hours, depending on the work the device is performing. If you are getting substantially less battery life, first, set your screen brightness at less than 100-percent - try 80-percent to start with. Then, be sure Battery conservation Mode is turned off. This power management setting should only be used when the laptop is plugged in all the time. It will prolong overall battery life by only charging the battery to 60-percent of capacity. Here is a link to instructions for turning off Battery Conservation Mode: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht103159. Also check what programs are running in the background on the computer. Be sure only the programs you want running in the background are. These programs will drain the battery. Here is a link to information about how to find out what programs are running in the background on your Windows 10 computer and how to manage them for better system performance: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-prevent-apps-running-background-windows-10. Then, finally, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. Incompatible software will drain the battery at a faster rate. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. I use this laptop primarily for photo editing with photoshop and Lightroom and it works excellent. Only slight critique is display could be a little bit brighter but matte finish is great. Very happy with my purchase. Best laptop for the price especially if you catch it on sale!

I bought this computer to play my favorite online game. I had a new Mac air and the lag was terrible. So I got this one and I absolutely love it! No lag...at all. It runs smooth. I can afk overnight and it doesn’t heat up. It’s perfect for what I needed. I run it constantly and it works great.

The fans can get loud if you use it for a while or are putting a lot of stress on it but besides that it does what you need it to do and then some. I’m not a huge fan of the keyboard but it gets the job done and nothing else. 9/10 if you ask me.

I did not want to spend a lot of money on a gaming laptop so I decided to purchase this Lenovo Legion. After using it for almost a month, I can say that I do not regret my purchase. I leave it docked with a triple monitor setup and it is running great. It works great with games and running every day tasks.

Very fast, clear screen, feature rich, backlit keyboard is awesome. Battery life is poor. You will only get 4hrs or so before you are looking for an outlet. Got the gamer laptop as a replacement to my erly 2000 laptop. Wanted better screen and cpu power. Battery is not a major concern for my useage needs. Still glad I have it and got a good price as there was a budget number i had to say at.

I mainly use it for school work and the keyboard is among the best I’ve tried in this price range. Gaming performance is excellent and it runs nice and cool and quiet. I have never had a Lenovo product and this does not disappoint. Work great and has smooth transition from program to program. I do not use it for gaming, but I don’t see any reasons why there would be issues. Graphics are great and performance is excellent. Do your homework but I would recommend.

A well-thought-out laptop

All three are year 2020 products with original prices between $999 and $1099. These are features only this Lenovo offers: 1. Two USB ports and an audio jack are on two sides of the laptop. The rest of USB ports, power, Ethernet, etc, are on the back. What a clean placement. 2. Best sound - it's powered by Harmon Kardon speakers and audio. Volume is not only louder, but also fuller/richer and more crisp. You can feel the surround sound. 3. Best display - it's brightness does not hurt my eyes and it is 120 Hz. The other laptops are 60 hz unless you pay an extra $100 for 120hz. 4. Most quiet fan compared to the other two laptops. But don't expect it to be as quiet as a non-gaming laptop, mind you. It doesn't overheat like one of the other two laptops. 5. Thermal (fan & temperature) profile is more intelligent. It has an option that can detect when you go into gaming mode and automatically switch thermal profile to Performance mode and automatically reset back to balance mode when you exit a game. All three laptops offer 3 to 4 profiles. But only this laptop has an extra option like this. All of these five unique attributes increase the quality of experience by a magnitude. One other laptop has a better GPU (RTX 2060). But the so so audio coupled with loud fan noise and overheat ruin the overall experience, especially the gaming experience. The actual gaming experience feels more immense with this Lenovo laptop!
