I bought this laptop, not for playing games, but for running VM's for my job. The i9, high speed RAM, and easy upgradability made this a great choice for me. The laptop and power brick are both heavy, but with 3 USB-A, 2 USB-C, an HDMI, and a satisfactory 1Gb ethernet port built in I don't have to carry a usb hub or ethernet adapter. The only scenario I can imagine needing one is if I want to use 2 external, non-usb monitors at the same time. There's also not an SD card reader built in, so you might need one for that. Upgrading RAM and adding Storage was very quick and easy particularly after watching YouTube videos. The included 16GB RAM is a single stick, so there's an open RAM slot and an open M.2 slot. Watching for sales these upgrades aren't terribly expensive. Some people might also miss having a touch screen, but it hasn't caused any difficulty for me. The keyboard/10-Key are slightly small, but they are well spaced, so fat-fingering has been minimal. Battery life has been surprisingly good, and charging is quick.

Slim cool laptop, the size is not too big. The keyboard is LED Lit, i9 graphics card is supreme for gaming possibly even for the whole next generation. Overall pretty nice laptop plus I got to finance mine because I was simultaneously approved for credit. This cosmetics are not quite as good as an ROG but it does not come at a ROG price either. Battery though dies pretty fast my suggestion is buying a better replacement battery.

On one hand this was a great computer, IF you are looking for a gaming computer that is basically a desktop replacement. However, if you're looking the power of a gaming computer in a device that is easy to transport, this may not be for you. Here are some reason why. 1. Compared to many current laptops this device is heavy. It's heavy for logical reasons. Extra fans, great sound and more ports than are on most laptops today, including a dedicated ethernet port. 2. The power "brick" is also heavy and large. Makes perfect sense because the computer requires lots of power. 3. The battery life is relatively short. Also logical. WE ended up returning this device and getting a lighter Lenovo which is also a great computer but a much better for our needs.

Nice gaming laptop, a tad heavy. It also needs to be constantly plugged in while playing a game or it will die quick as expected. I wouldn’t recommend traveling with the laptop but it is great alternative if you don’t want a whole pc, no regrets.

Bought this computer for both school and gaming. Easily handles any game I want to play, including graphically intense ones. Fast. Display looks great. Love that you can change between different modes to balance between performance and battery longevity. Only issue is it does die really fast if using the highest performance level, so I just have to play games with it plugged in to charge. Really loving it so far

Had used lenovo in the past for office, and was very satisfied. So gave this one a try.Excellent machine, my first i9, boots up in seconds, no over heating, super fast (so far), nice graphics and refresh rate. Will add 16 GB more memory in the future, but for the price was a steal

Pros: multiple ports for various peripherals, easy-to-use keysboard. Cons: Very heavy so not really suitable for travel, can't turn off keyboard lights.

After my HP Spectre died prematurely I decided to go with Lenovo. I've had great luck with work issued Lenovos over the years and this one has the performance and screen I needed at a great price. I have been using it daily now for about 3 weeks and couldn't be happier so far.

It is fast, can run the games I need, and does the job right. This is it if you want a gaming computer that isn't too expensive and has good processing power. However, the battery life is about 1.5 hours.

Overall I am very happy with this laptop. I bought it for the mid-level gaming that I do. The size and weight of the laptop certainly make it difficult to take anywhere with you, so keep that in mind if you’re often on the move. It also has very poor battery life. However, the graphics, responsiveness, and overall gaming experience are unmatched.

A good laptop that is able to run games relatively well. I can bump the settings and graphics up high on games, but not all the way without suffering from stuttering on a few of the more demanding ones. I enjoy using quiet mode to avoid loud noises from the fan when I'm in a quiet environment. Battery life isn't the best since it's a gaming laptop, so I have to have it constantly plugged in. What I am not happy with is buying the open-box option from Bestbuy and receiving no box at all, nor anything inside the package to actually keep it protected during shipping. I am aware that it is riskier and comes with a discount, but I am honestly quite shocked with the fact the item arrived in one piece. It is a good item, but I would not trust Bestbuy with another purchase, at least not "open-box".

I purchased the open box excellent version and overall it was a good laptop performance wise besides the weird start up making me hit ctrl alt delete sometimes for the login screen to pop up. The reason I returned the laptop was due to it being very bulky. I understand this comes with the territory of a “gaming” laptop but I just wanted something good for school. So I purchased a slimmer laptop more aimed at work and school use.

Specs are amazing for a computer on the go, only issues I have are the battery life is pretty bad, and when doing demanding things on the computer the fans are SO LOUD. LIKE. UNBELIEVABLY LOUD.

The computer is very well built. Battery does not last as long as I had hoped. The power supply if very heavy, but the screen and graphics are amazing. Overall pretty happy with the choice.

I've had an overall good experience with this laptop. The fans can be a little bit loud but when you have game sound on you don't really notice them too much. There are a couple places that get warm when playing games but I've never seen a temperature over 72 degrees which is fairly impressive for a gaming laptop.
