Soon afterwards, it shut down completely. I was thrilled when I returned it to the store i had bought it at and it was exchanged for a new one, same type, which has worked fine since then. Than you. ||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm not a gamer, but I do a lot of PLC programming, CAD and needed a computer to replace my Dell 7740 which was still working but old. This machine meets all of that, I have not found anything I can't do (Fusion 360) whatever. I did upgrade to Windows Pro from Home. Other than that I enjoy everything this computer has and 1/2 the weight of my Dell 7740 laptop. I wish it had one more spot for a 3rd drive internally as my Dell had but it was not a deal breaker.

If you look at the specs its great for that price, only thing the battery can last some hours but with a gaming laptop its normal.

Great Gaming Laptop

To reinstall Windows without the Lenovo software, I had to slipstream some motherboard drivers into the install USB to make the reinstall work without Lenovo's media. The fan can be a little noisy, but overall, this is an excellent laptop

The perfect balance for gaming and design

Great laptop at a good price

The fans do make a lot of noise when it gets hot, but it has only done that while playing a new game with overheating issues at max settings. I’ve had zero issues with this so far.

Cheap feeling

There's no visible speakers, although it does have in-case speakers that are terrible. The body is also made of a cheap plastic, and mine chipped upon impact. It's purely cosmetic and still useable, just annoying. I traded in my MacBook for this computer, which would've just had a scratch or dented upon similar impact... Overall I'd pick a different brand with lesser parts just for a tad higher build quality. Oh and the battery life stinks. Lasts an hour on eco mode with very low brightness, back-lit keyboard turned off, and running off of integrated graphics.

Happy with my Decision

Battery life is not great, but no gaming laptop really has a great battery. Compared to my previous laptop though, the battery life is doubled. It has a nice keybind allowing you to put it into a thermal/cooling/battery life mode vs a balanced mode vs an overclock mode, making it super easy to throttle it to just what you need. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase and don't have any regrets yet.
