This is an amazing laptop for the price!

I couldn't be more thrilled with my new Legion 5i Pro. This is the newest model sporting the i7 13700HX, RTX 4070, and 16gb of RAM. In performance mode, this thing is an absolute monster for a laptop. I am playing Battlefield 2042 at a solid 140-160fps with DLSS enabled, and 100fps in New World with quality settings maxed out.
I was originally going to go with a different laptop and I sure am glad that I didn't, the other one only had a 1080p display with a max brightness of 250 nits. The display on the Legion is absolutely fantastic, not only is it a higher resolution, it's much brighter and has superb contrast. Did I mention you get all of that plus it's a 240hz panel?? Games look great on the built-in display. I might actually start using my laptop for gaming more than my desktop, who knows!
I did score an extra $150 off on Lenovo's website with some holiday deals which incentivized this purchase even further, bringing it WELL below the price of competing spec laptops by $500 or more.
The build quality is top shelf, the keyboard is excellent, and so is the trackpad. In performance mode the 4070 has no problem sucking down its 140w, the built in Legion software even lets you overclock the GPU and vRAM further increasing this units performance.
In high performance mode, the fans ramp up to a good clip and are somewhat noisy, but they do not make any "annoying" noises, all you hear is the air being moved, and there's a lot of it. The cooling setup on this laptop is able to keep the CPU and GPU cool enough for maximim power draw while gaming, coming from the included 300w power brick.
If you're in the market for a gaming laptop and maybe looking at one that's a few hundred dollars less than this, do yourself a huge favor and spend a bit more for this unit. It's competing with laptops way way above its price point while its on sale.

Overall amazing gaming pc I had it for almost a year now and it still works super fast. The only con I would say it’s kind of loud (the fans) but that is to be expected if you have headphones on you won’t hear a thing and people won’t hear the noise over voice chat either.

I got this laptop recently but has to return it sadly :( and get a new one. Everything about this laptop I do love, a little on the heavy side to carry in my backpack, but the quality and speed was good to me. But the microphone suddenly stopped working. I downloaded discord and it wouldn't work for that applications but ignored it thinking it was just discord & just plugged my headset in, since my zoom was working and also the camera app. Soon nothing was working and the settings were allowed for those applications for the microphone. Still very sad because I spent so much money on this for the mic to not work.

This is a decent gaming laptop for the price. The system is quick and fairly quiet even under load.
Pros:
- Screen is good
- GPU is good
- I like how customizeable the keyboard lights are. You can set colors patterns or even shut em off all together with a few keystrokes
Cons:
- Price is a bit steep.
- RAM is your bottleneck. Upgrade it ASAP.
- Battery life is horrid. You might get a few hours but not if youre gaming. It will also have really bad FPS on just battery power due to power saving. Can be disabled but something to definitely keep an eye on.

It’s a good laptop for gaming because of the full power RTX 4070 laptop and i7 13700HX with a really fast gen 4 ssd, but I have had some directx 12 driver problems and when running unreal engine it likes to crash. The battery life is poor, the screen is amazing at 240hz at 2k in a 16:10 aspect ratio, the ports the laptop has is excellent but I do wish it had a sd card reader or micro sd card slot

A great laptop for gaming. For reference I played payday 3 and destiny 2 no problem. That is after upgrading the ram. However even when not playing games and having power saving mode on, the battery life is not that good. But you can keep it from draining, I use a 100w charger from Ugreen to charge it when im on the go.

I think the laptop is fantastic, overall great machine, the Intel processor does get toasty but it's very normal and the 4070 is fantastic love the dlss and frame gen on games, I did however have to upgrade my ram and memory which was incredibly easy to do only took me 5 minutes each time I added 1tb of storage and went to 32gb of ram, anything I would change would be the storage just due to the fact that I already was gonna use half with only 5 games 1tb is a minimum of what you need. Battery was slightly lack luster but to be expected with this kind of performance

This is my new setup for video editing on DaVinci Resolve and gaming as a replacement for my old PC I built. It cleaned up my desk space nicely and it does everything I want it to without complaints. I have yet to hear the fans on this thing even when it’s running Forza Horizon 5 on max settings. Battery life isn’t the best but that could also be because of how heavy of a power user I am. Would buy again.

Great system. Solid build quality and build. Coming from an older Asus Rog laptop, this has the weight but also the quality of a good PC. Screen is very good and seems almost better than my LG G5 monitor. Can run practically any modern game at ultra settings at 60fps or higher. I get about 120 on cod bo6. Charger is huge but it also offers PD for a smaller footprint.

Is good laptop, no complanes. Seriously i yave had it and run many games on it from forza horizon 5 to persona 5 and it has handled it like no other laptop i have had! One complaint is there is no thunderbolt capability on the device but the ram, and ssd/s are soceted which goes far for upgradeability over all 10/10 great lpatop solid profomance!

I use this for graphic and 3D work with no issue whatsoever. I also ran Starfield on ultra and found no issues running at 30 fps. The only con (and pro) is the massive 300 watt battery that is cumbersome to carry (but can also recharge your system in about an hour).

My old laptop would heat up like a hibachi grill while slaying zombies on dayz. As much as I love hibachi, this laptop stays much cooler and runs very well. Oled screen looks great, can see at night much better.

Wonderful laptop. Did not come with a charger because it was open box but i bought one online.
Laptop's specs are really good. 240hz screen, 2k resolution, I have already upgraded to 32gb of ram and the 4070 graphics card does a wonderful job. Lenovo also has a really good build quality and the cooling is superb. Great laptop choice!

Amazing piece of hardware! I love it! Fast, furious and practical, the only downside would be the battery charger that's a little heavy, other than that, this works perfectly for any type of activities you want to perform. From gaming to programming or graphic design (beautiful screen btw), anything can work on this. Pretty pleased with my purchase and the money was worth it by the time I got the laptop!

A really excellent laptop. Lasted me longer than all my other graduate school laptops combined. My only mistake was leaving it on a bus
