Awesome laptop, awesome screen, and great cooling. I choose the 14 oled over the 16. Cause of the weight/screen. Really not much defference. The 14 has white backlight; which is not distracting.Has true HDR that's very noticeable comparing these side by side. If your bestbuy have these on display check them out. Both are great machines but the oled was the icing on the cake. I purchased from Lenovo website for the 32gb version. Future proof; since I don't upgrade until 4+ years

On sale, this is the best price/performance ratio you will find in a laptop in 2024. Beautiful OLED screen, great build quality, great CPU, and the best value laptop GPU currently available. Only knocks against it are the speakers, and the screen doesn't have VRR. However, if you want good audio with any laptop, you should really be using decent headphones or IEMs, so the bad speakers are forgivable.

Excellent mobile laptop. Incredible value for performance. Beautiful OLED screen. Absolutely blows other non-OLED screens out of the water. Battery life is fantastic. I honestly cannot think of any gripes against this laptop. It's the perfect size, not too big or bulky, yet still performs great.

Beautiful screen, compact design, very-capable CPU with an amazing built-in iGPU. I didn't even realize I was playing some games on iGPU-only mode! When that's not enough, it has a very powerful GPU. The fans are a bit loud on full speed but that is completely customizable. My only concern is the 16gb memory and possibility of OLED burn-in down the road. But once you use an OLED - you will never want to go back to an IPS screen!

Really enjoy using the Legion 5 slim. The OLED display looks great with vivid colors and the screen size is compact. Battery life is decent and charging is quick with the included power adapter. Pretty good build quality with a mostly metal frame. I added an additional NVME to dual boot PopOS Linux to experiment with ollama, stable diffusion and other Ai tools and they work well. I’ve used btrfs to format the Linux partition which when combined with WinBTRFS can be accessed from Windows. In Windows I mostly use it to play Steam games and thanks to BTRFS have expanded storage for games in the Linux partition on the additional NVME SSD. Only negative for me is the lack of memory expand ability. Mine came with 16gb so it’s not too bad. I did pick this up on sale and as an open box (was sold out) which made this a great value purchase!

Solid Build, small compact and easy to carry. Surprisingly for its thickness feels lighter than an ENVY or Spectare. Center Trackpad for the OCD users like myself. I do with the keyboard was a little more responsive like a ThinkPad, but that's alright. The screen is super rich Oled but I wish it was a little brighter.

Can't believe this monitor is the price it is, it is a beast of a laptop. 1800p pixel density and the glossy finish on the screen is incredible, the OLED colors look insane. Makes my LCD matte finish on my Razer Blade 15 look like poop. Games run amazing and you can even play without the charger, the thermals are fantastic as well, this thing runs so cool and the fans are relatively quiet. The only downsides to this laptop are probably the battery life and the HDR. I find myself having to charge it after every 1-2 hours even if it's at a full charge and running at 50% brightness, The HDR peak brightness is also pretty low (550 nits), it is definitely better than nothing but still low nonetheless. Otherwise for 1,050 USD, I really cannot complain for such a fantastic laptop when you have comapnies like Razor charging 1,500 USD more for the same exact laptop with minor improvements.

This little gem runs the latest games well and its very easy to carry at 3.8 lbs. The OLED screen is incredible for games and movies. The computer also has an open slot for a second SSD. I added a 2 TB SSD drive from Best Buy for a total of 3 TB of space.

Excellent value. Size is very convenient. Speed is good. Keyboard great. Screen works well. Fast and portable gaming machine also with enough battery to work for portability at college.

Great so far! Really loving the screen. Though I was a bit disappointed that RAM was not upgradeable but it’s still a beast of a machine and the OLED display really pops out. Current AAA games run great on this system.

only been at it for 2 weeks while writing this review. The screen is very clear and OLED has a difference for sure. Light weight laptop. Gaming laptop runs well. Happen to see it on sale and capture my attention because of the OLED screen + gaming. I don't see this combo very often.

Great value 4060 laptop. This is the best 14 inches laptop for college student. Lite enough as laptop for students carry it to school and it has just enough performance for gaming. Perfect balance for this laptop.

This is a great laptop for someone looking for a pc with good gaming performance that is also light and easy to travel with. Performance from the 4060 is solid all around and the cooling system is well designed to keep thermals largely in check. Even the chasis doesn't get very hot except in the most intense workloads. The standout feature is the screen. HDR games look amazing on the 120hz OLED display. That's what elevates this device above the g14 as you have to get the expensive 4090 g14 for a comparable mini led screen. The only thing missing is freesync and Advanced Optimus. Overall, if you're looking for something with a small footprint, an amazing screen, and is relatively affordable then look no further as this laptop fits the bill and then some.

Pros: glossy hi-res OLED screen, rear power and USB ports, (a type C on the back would have been nice though), good performance, capable of decent gaming even on silent mode. Cons: Imagine bad laptop speakers from 5 years ago, these are worse. No g-sync. Keyboard deck and trackpad are plastic and feel cheap compared to the rest of the chassis.

Blazing fast, solid battery life for a windows x86 machine, great keyboard and trackpad. The OLED screen takes gaming to a whole other level, especially for games with dark ambience. Blacks are truly black. When the screen goes to black, the entire room gets dark, as compared to an IPS display. The only drawback to this machine is the fan noise is LOUD under load. This isn't a huge deal to me, as I play with noise cancelling headphones on anyway, but something to consider.

I really wanted to love this laptop. It's everything I really love about Lenovo. Lots of USB ports of all kinds. Beautiful screen, and I mean gorgeous. It's runs well and cool... Well unless it goes to sleep. It goes into sleep mode but still runs hot and no fans come on. It got so hot the 3 inch thickwood table was hot to the touch underneath. Seems very dangerous. But the biggest issue is that 16gb RAM limit. There's so much bloat ware that you really only get 8 gigs to use and if you try to remove the bloat the laptop may not work correctly.. When games would crash I'd notice the ram was at 15gb out of 15.2. so Im going to return this and opt for a more expensive 32gb ram oled laptop.. but if you can get this laptop on sale and are okay with low ram it's worth it.

It's that good! Display is excellent. Performance is balanced and seems to be fast considering the specs. Overall style looks great with good battery life. This hot bi*tch of a laptop is excellent.

A beautiful screen, a compact form factor, great ergonomics. This is a really fantastic portable machine that's capable of doing almost anything. My only complaint is that the RAM is soldered onto the motherboard so that the RAM cannot be upgraded or increased. I don't understand why companies keep doing this. Everyone wants more ram. The good news is there is more room for another SSD so you can increase the storage. Dear computer companies, there is never enough storage or RAM, so do everything you can to let people increase as time goes.
