I would unfortunately not recommend this laptop for the price that it is. For starters, when I would try to scroll with the mousepad, it would take a second for the mousepad to actually work. When using the laptop it would lag, load, freeze, or take a while to close things. I constantly encountered errors while watching Netflix, and one time the screen even went completely green. Regarding gameplay, my game would crash while I was still in the menu changing my settings. The battery would drain down to 60% in just 30 minutes and all I had open was the browser and my files. I honestly really like this laptop; the design, the style, the display, the keyboard, how smooth it was when it actually let me play the games I wanted to play. However, I wouldn't want to spend $1500 on this unless they fixed these issues. I was happy to have the laptop for the one week that I owned it.

This laptop is a great all around, the display is very vibrant and sharp, the CPU did get really hot and repasting it did lower temperatures a bit. A word of warning, for portability, the power brick is very big, but it can charge via USB-C PD for quick topping off. It has a single stick of 16GB DDR5 ram, and 1x M.2 slots free. They keyboard is top notch in feel.

I really like this laptop and kept it, but I was a bit disappointed by the amount of screen bleed. In addition, there was also a small grey spot in the upper portion of the monitor. I did keep it because there is obviously no guarantee the next one will be better. Most of the laptops I have purchased have a small thing wrong whether it's a dead pixel or something like screen bleed. Performance wise, zero complaints! It runs awesome and I would still recommend it to someone looking for a solid gaming laptop.

Solid laptop with a beautiful display. I upgraded it to 32GB RAM and added a 2TB SSD before even firing it up. It produces a lot of heat so I also have it on a cooling pad. Runs GSPro golf sim on ultra in 1080p smoothly.

The Lenovo Legion Slim 5 16" is perfect for gamers looking for power and portability. Enjoy fluid games with incredible graphics thanks to its AMD Ryzen 7 processor and RTX 4070 graphics card. Its 16-inch screen immerses you in the action. Although not It is cheap, its performance and elegant design make it a great investment.

Absolutely in love with this laptop and couldnt be more satisfied with my purchase. I needed a laptop for trading stocks that was powerful enough to handle multiple screens. Dont overlook this option!

Thermal performance is exceptional when gaming under heavy loads, cooling design is better than the previous generation. Laptop feels sturdy and light for its class. Display is on the uncommon side (2560 x 1600) but that has rarely been a problem with any game titles. Battery life has lasted me roughly the whole day. One thing to note is the screen is on the heavier side when putting it on your lap (laptop sitting roughly 45 degrees) and you tilt the screen to a wider angle (around 120 degrees) the screen will fall back into its 180-degree position, I am unsure if this is due to a faulty hinge design or that's normal.

I got a great deal on my 4070 Legion Slim 5. Honestly, I was expecting the laptop to be just alright based on the price, but this thing is a beast. It’s fast, it runs great and the display is great. I was bummed that this display doesn’t have HDR but the colors are so good and pop so nice that you can’t barely tell. Overall, this is a very good experience. This is my second Lenovo (I bought a Lenovo desktop about a 1.5 years back) and my experience with their products have been nothing but positive.

Basically its a 5 stars all except for the speakers. I am blown away by the performance and value fir money. I needed a new computer and wantex to game as well. I was able to find it in excellent condition open box through best buy and got this baby for less than 1250 all told. Runs great looks clean and plays solid. I wish lenovo would upgrade the speakers because they are pretty underwhelming. I got headphones to take care of that, and that should not detract from the value and performance of yhis model. Get it! Join the Legion!!!

I am very happy with this laptop. I do not play any games on it, so I can't review that, but the graphics are much better than my older laptop. I use it mostly for business. I really like how light it is! I had a W10 laptop that could not be upgraded to W11, and this was within my budget.

I had a Toshiba laptop for many years and I thought I would never find something with the same feel to replace it. Then I found this Lenovo Legion laptop and it ticked everybody plus some. The graphics and sound are awesome and it keeps up with anything I need it to do. Well worth it.

Amazing computer, pretty good graphics when it comes to games and runs smoothly with more intense graphics. Runs programs like Quartus Prime and Autidesk fusion relatively good. Would definitely recommend for gaming as well as for starting off as an engineering major.

Killer machine for the price! (Bought on black friday sale). I travel a lot for work so this lets me game with my wife in the evenings while shes home and im in a hotel. Only downside is the charger is HUGE. This machine is quiet and powerful.

So far this laptop has been very useful. Fast, powerful, can run Unreal Engine 5 for projects with little to no issues. Only gripe I have is the battery life after being fully charged. Other then that, I have nothing but praise for this thing.

After a lot of research and trying out a 14 inch laptop i settled on this 16 inch slim 4070 as the ideal fit for my needs. Fantastic laptop. Build quality is great, cpu/gpu are fast in games and screen is really nice with great colors. I also like the various options within the lenovo software for fan and power management and the ports being in the back making cable management easier. From a negatives standpoint; the speakers are quite bad even after some tuning (less of a concern for me as i use headphones when gaming anyways), theres technically no HDR support for the display (standard colors are vibrant enough so havent even noticed the lack of HDR in gaming but being nitpicky here) and while it may be “slim” its quite heavy. Not exactly the most portable of devices, but not unportable. Highly reccomend.

I guess i can say this is an ok laptop for its price but, i feel like they just majorly cheaped out on certain components. For example the bluetooth, you can forget about it. The bluetooth is so laggy and barely connects when you want it to. I honestly feel like i spend more time restarting it then i do actually playing games! For $1300 i would say this laptop is definitely not worth it. Cant wait to pay it off…. The ports in the back of the laptop also feel very cheap and feel like they wanna break when plugging and unplugging things. when you purchase this it seems to have a built in jet engine aswell with how it sounds when running games. Hope this review helps.

Performance is great, the screen is crisp. Battery life is Ok considering its power and size. I knocked a star off because shortly after purchasing the USB ports began having connectivity issues. They still work but any movement at all will cause a disconnect.

Very powerful, good price for the specs. Lenovo software isn’t too intrusive unlike some other manufacturers

This is a GREAT laptop. I use this laptop for remote work and games (Forza Horizon, Jedi Survivor, Minecraft to name a few examples). The keyboard is great for a laptop. I am used to custom mechanical keyboard on my custom desktop. Modern games run smooth and at decent frame rates (100 fps+) on High/Ultra settings. I usually use this laptop while plugged in on high performance mode, so I cannot advise on battery performance. The screen has great color and brightness. Movies and YouTube are great on this device.
