A few months ago I switched to a 16 in laptop for everyday work (Acer Swift Edge with great 4k OLED screen and feather light) and decided to find a gaming laptop in the same form factor. This Legion 5 Slim? checks all the marks, healthy weight, good screen, exceptional AMD CPU, both powerful and battery friendly, and quite powerful Nvidia 4060 mobile GPU. It runs F1 22 at native 1600p resolution ultra settings with medium ray tracing and AMD FSR2 upscaling well over 60 fps At 4k same settings on external monitor just below 60fps - fine with me. Not too loud, on par with Asus G14 with Radeon 6700s that I had previously. Overall paid $1000 on sale open box, added 4TB second nvme ssd, and that is it for this year. Extremely easy to open, and I do praise plastic base for heat control.

Just like all gaming laptops it has it's short comings. Still has decent fps with proper settings without giving up to much quality. Battery life is kinda terrible off the wall plug. Everyone complains about the fans but that's something I can understand still loud thou hence headphones while playing a game. While it ships with 512gb SSD it should come with a 1tb.  It shouldn't require us to order off your website but be offer to all retailer's as well. 16gb of ram is enough for most better then 8gb but might max it out to 32gb for that ready for anything cushion. Keyboard is OK still kinda mushy. Track pad is meh still end up using my 10 year wireless gaming mouse instead.The speakers while down facing are OK I've heard much worse from more expensive machines. The networking already had annoyances with the wifi card and the Ethernet is so much slower then WiFi it kinda ridiculous. Realtek cards are known for issues thou. The display while not perfect but not the worst I've seen and good refresh rate. I'm waiting for the new nano led and q led displays to be more available. While producing better black and gtg response. Honestly it could use more USB 3.0 type A ports or atleast one more. While everything is going type c usb type a is still more come. As far as weight sure I wish it was lighter as it travels the country with me for work but could be much worse. I choose team red aka AMD for CPU and team green Nvidia for GPU and it hasn't been a terrible combo. AMD is less power hungry but slower the Intel and the NVIDIA rtx4060. I should of tried to find a 4070 but that jumped the price quite a bit. It also nice to see full AMD machines and maybe one day maybe considered or a full Intel machine one day. All in all I'm still happy with my purchase just requires upgrades like storage and ram but mainly storage.

Fast - beauitful display without 4K or OLED price tag. Running Steam and Battle.net games at max settings. Battery life is as expected with any gaming laptop. Upgraded RAM to 32GB and second 2TB SSD without a hitch, expect to last for years with Lenovo's quality and support.

So, at first I had the same version of this laptop with a Ryzen 5 chip and although the RTX 4060 handled games with ease, the CPU left a lot to be desired in simple, day-to-day processing tasks like Excel and web browsing. That machine would stutter A LOT under the multitasking loads I would put it through. This machine, I'm happy to report, does NO SUCH THING! :-) It handles all tasks not named gaming with such fluidity and ease, it's a wonder I stayed with the Ryzen 5 version for as long as I did. I really love this machine's screen, build quality, customizability and this backlit keyboard is gorgeous. This was an open-box (excellent) condition for $1,000, and I could not be happier. This is one happy Laptop customer! Though, it could be a touch lighter in weight, but that's just me being picky! LOL.

The Lenovo Legion Slim 5 16" Gaming Laptop is a powerhouse that combines sleek design with impressive gaming performance. Performance-wise, this laptop is a beast. I purchased this Laptop for both gaming and work and this Legion is quite the monster! I love... Everything about this laptop which is mostly used for gaming as intended. Battery life is not great, but that's common with a laptop targeted for gaming as it is very demanding. Definitely recommend this line for gamers looking for an affordable beast of a gaming laptop and for content creators/artsy people.

I recently purchased the Lenovo Legion Slim 5 gaming laptop from Best Buy, and I'm thrilled with its outstanding performance and sleek design. Although I was skeptical at first due to the gpu only having 8 gb of dedicated ram, I have found that this is a wonderfully built device. I cannot be happier with my purchase as it performs wonderfully in AAA games on average getting 120fps with its 165hz screen, but also in school use when I can change the display to be 60hz to give it a wonderful battery life. It’s also has an easy to upgrade ram and storage. All in all I am in love with this machine, and it’s in depth customizability.

Very good machine. The screen is fantastic. Build quality is decent, aluminium cover and the rest is plastic but it doesnt feel cheap. The performance is great and Lenovo's software is very usefull. I wouldnt pay full price for it since there are better alternatives for the price but if you get it under $1000 open-box or on sale then you'll get an excellent deal.

I got his in Opened Box Excellent and if someone told me it was brand new I would've believed it tbh. I easily updated the graphics drivers directly through the Nvidia GeForce App and I just had to download the latest AMD Adrenaline App and now directly update that driver through the app with ease. Downloading the bios is super easy right through the Lenovo app. I love this thing! I play it mostly in Quiet mode, until I get a cooling pad. I can't wait! The Legion is fantastic and the grey colored version I have looks cool and doesn't look cheesy, like other gaming laptops. I will buy Lenovo again for sure! And I'm streaming games on it on YT with ease, @GotSawst I got some pics too!

So far I have had this laptop for a little over 2 months and it had done everything I’ve wanted it to do. Good for travel, has a nice sleek design that doesn’t scream “gamer!” and is smooth and works amazingly in editing software and gaming.

This is the very first gaming laptop that 've ever bought and it took me MONTHS to research until I found this laptop. I had gotten it on sale and even then it was still a very hefty price but I must say that this device does not disappoint. It runs many games very smoothly and the screen is beautiful. I do play with it plugged in to get the best use of the game support features but I'm sure you'll love it. I've been using this for months and have not run into any issues.

Awesome PC priced at a discount for the impeccable features and performance

Good performance with all the AAA or resource demanding titles I have tried(Cyberpunk 2077, Black Myth Wukong, Space Marine 2). Only downside is the 512gb SSD that's included, I recommend installing a 1Tb or 512gb internal SSD for extra storage space.

I was very happy with the computer, this is the first Lenovo that I have ever bought. I've been an ASUS ROG user since 2008 and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this laptop. The computer was bought to be a work PC and its doing very well at the task. I'd buy another one as the software works very well and its been worth it for the performance.

This laptop is a monster. Been using it for a little over 2 weeks and it is destroying every single game. Red Dead Redemption II in 2K ultra running at 70fps. This machine is well built with metal lid and extremely sturdy quality. Overall the best laptop in this price range by far…

Is a great gaming computer very fast good charge speed and has exceptional graphics

Great laptop for gaming, plays modern games very well, smooth, and with good graphics. I primarily use it for playing Battlefield 2042 and Diablo IV, among others. It plays these without issues on high to very high settings. The fans can get loud with intensive games like BF2042, just wear earbuds :)

Im new to pc gaming in general but decided to pick up this laptop for gaming on the go and so far its fantastic!! Im able to play all my steam games and gamepass with high FPS and high graphics setting. Perfect for what i need! Very happy with my purchase!
