Great laptop. Good battery life. Excellent performance. The screen looks great. It's a little heavy for carrying everyday but you have to make concessions somewhere and I'd prefer the power and capabilities over being light weight.

I like the weight and how slim it is but it did make me buy a hard cover carrier because of how slim it was. Just wouldn’t do a 50 series, but it is still working!

I have only had this laptop for 3.5 weeks, so I am only giving it 4 stars. So far, I have found it to have the power and the storage capacity I need. BestBuy transferred the data over a three-day period in their shop. As expected, they did not copy my settings, so I unhappily spent time doing that.
It is lighter weight than my old gaming laptop, is faster, and has about twice the battery (about 11 hours). I am still working to find all the factory installed background apps that steal battery power.

Got this laptop to use in my second half of college after my last broke down. This thing has been great so far for coding and engineering programs. The discrete graphics card is great for doing some light gaming but amazing for graphics based software processes. All of this in a slim and lightweight build makes it ideal for a college student.

Overall great little machine, the screen is best selling point on this thing. I do professional photography work and love it overall. I was getting about 97% adobe RGB which beats the new macbooks. Only problem was the battery life is about 2-3 hours on a normal load of photoshop/lightroom. While watching videos in 4k is awesome , it drains the battery in about 4 hours max. I ende up returning mine for the Asus G15 for more battery life and better package overall. But if your not on the go like me and have an outlet around 24/7 this laptop is great for content creators. For gaming I was getting about 50 frames on DS3

The unboxing experience was amazing, thats about it. As soon as i opened the laptop i was shocked how big the power supply cord was and couldnt figure it out why they didnt use usbc to charge it. When i went to actually use the laptop, it was using 5g of ram just to run youtube. It was extremely laggy, had 57 updates, awful speakers and would get extremely hot and battery life was nonexistent. To top it all of if the battery goes below 20% the whole power button will flashy constantly until the power supply is plugged in. When i took it to geek squad they couldnt even figure out what was wrong with it and they had to ship it out. Dont waste your time or money

I am not a gamer but I bought this laptop for video editing. I was concerned about the fan noise and RAM size for that task. Both were not issues. The laptop is very quiet when doing Office apps or searching the Internet. I do get a little fan noise when doing extensive video editing. The RAM size is good enough because it handles all my heavy processing with no problem. I think the AMD Ryzen 9 processor and the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 video card help with making this heavy processing easy.

I have had this laptop for about a week and it's been great. The 4k screen and brightness is awesome. I decided on this model for the higher resolution and Ryzen 9 CPU since most of what I will be doing is content creation, watching movies, and browsing - did not need the higher GPU version since I won't be gaming much. With that said, after updating the bios (which fixed a few minor things) and doing a fresh install of windows, all has been working great. Some folks have had issues with the WiFi card and have had to swap it out; however, so far mine has been great - connection is strong and stable. The only complaint I have is battery life. While not too bad for the type of laptop, I wish it could a bit better. Overall, I'm getting about 5-7 hours depending on the workload with screen at about 60% and on quite mode.
Lastly, the laptop does attract finger prints, however, I purchased a skin cover from M2 Skins for the front lid and now there's no more finger prints, so much better.

I was shopping laptops for something I could take on vacation to edit photos and maybe do some gaming and had it narrowed down to Lenovo, Asus, and Alienware. I wanted enough hardware to run Photoshop CC and Warzone effectively, but have decent battery life and a hefty hard drive. I stumbled across this model accidentally. The 4K screen and 10-key pushed it into my cart over the others.
DISPLAY: The 4K is stunningly sharp and super bright. I've been running it at about 80%, which is plenty for all but the brightest environments. No complaints at all.
KEYBOARD: The 10-key is pretty rare on a 15.6" laptop and is a big checkmark in my book. The white backlighting was also a must-have, as I prefer darker rooms for my editing. It's not a huge deal, but the specs led me to believe the keyboard was RGB. Numerous Reddit threads mention earlier models having the feature, too, so I went looking. I made sure the BIOS and Lenovo Vantage were up to date, yet no RGB controls exist; not even in the BIOS. I installed a couple of available Corsair iCue versions and while they each showed the desired changes on the program, the keyboard remained white (I was looking for light blue or green). So if keyboard backlighting colors are important, look elsewhere.
CASE/FORM FACTOR: The metal shell feels sturdy and rigid, unlike plastic cases I've had in the past. Folded down, the thickness is amazingly slim, as the name suggests. Love it. Having a centered power connection in the rear is useful for me, as I've had laptops with the only connection invariably on the most inconvenient side from where I need it. I find the USB and USB-C ports conveniently located, though all of these opinions are subjective and others might not like it as much. The finish does show fingerprints. I'm planning on applying a vinyl wrap to the case to abate that.
NOISE: The fans can get distracting when they're running hard during Warzone. This really doesn't matter to me; it would likely only annoy those around me, as I'm almost always on headphones.
GRAPHICS: Here's where this model loses points in my book. I'm not new to technology and did my research, but I figured the RTX 3050 Ti would be able to hold its own. I haven't run it with Photoshop yet, but when running Warzone, I've had to really scale back the graphics to allow this laptop to keep up at even a reasonable framerate. You WILL NOT be running at 4K and 100 fps. I'm at about 720p and 55 fps. Even with that, it still hangs up occasionally and has resulted in more than one untimely death. How they're marketing this as a "gaming" rig is beyond me.
Overall, I'm still happy enough that I don't regret the purchase. However, if someone looking for true gaming power, I'd suggest they pass on this one due to the austere GPU choice Lenovo made.

This PC is a bad little number. It is lightning fast, the screen resolution is beautiful and high quality, it’s quiet, even with the boost on (there is noise, but compared to other PCs with turbo boost, it’s not bad), and overall this computer was fantastic to use. The computer does show fingerprints like other people have mentioned, however that wasn’t really an issue to me. Just thought I would mention for those that it does matter.
On a separate note…. There was one issue I could not get past. I am using this computer 1st and foremost for school. I keep my computers for a long time so I like to purchase a good one with good specs so I can use it for years. I am also a light to medium gamer so this computer was getting some good use out of it during my free time. This computer met every expectation I had for it except for when the high quality of the screen got in the way of the usability of the product. Often times when I pulled up certain programs for school or certain games, The windows for the programs would appear insanely small. I had to grab a magnifying glass for my sims game just to adjust the settings. The screen capability is hindered how the programs and games appeared on the computer because the programs were not designed for a screen of that caliber therefore not functional. Even after adjusting the settings, the game was playable but still off. Some programs, I could not even adjust the settings. After googling the issue, i found a video on adjusting the code for the program. At this point, for what I paid for the device that was a no go for me and I decided to return it. This computer is great, and I really wanted to love it; however, what is the point of having a great machine, with great specs at a higher cost if it takes extra steps or reprogramming to make it usable. A product of this caliber should not have these issues. I honestly think with how tech is progressing this should no longer be an issue with programming. There are other computers with better resolution that do not have this issue. It should be built into the computer to compensate or just be a non issue.
So sadly, I had to return this little number and find a new computer. I chose a MacBook Air since I already have many of the products to complete my ecosystem. It’ll play the games I like to play, and the more intensive games I have moved over to a different gaming platform. My MacBook is just going to be my work/school computer, for some light gaming.
Hope this helps someone.
