Lenovo Legion Slim 7 15" 4K Ultra HD Laptop Review

It runs quietly and the weight and shape make it quite comfortable to use. After having used a bulkier gaming model with hard edges prior to this, I am much happier with this particular design. The screen size feels more than adequate even after switching from a larger 17-inch model, and the brightness and color options allow for a comfortable experience on the eyes regardless of the time of day. Boot-time is very fast, and the laptop performs well enough otherwise. My older model seemed to navigate files more quickly, but that isn't a huge issue. Fortunately, the 1 TB drive gives a nice bit of storage room to start with; make sure you utilize some form of back-up for anything important however! Don't forget that you may want to to uninstall a few of the default programs after booting everything up, and adjust all of the settings for your privacy. I picked this particular laptop because it was the best option that was locally available for pickup at the time. You may be able to find others that suit your needs better if you are patient, but this is an overall well received model that is performing quite well thus far.

Solid beast gaming laptop

The display is amazing with 4K ultra, it plays just about any games with high graphics settings. Haven’t had any issues with overheating. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because it doesn’t have an HDMI port nor and Ethernetport. It has 2 USB C ports. Other than that, I’m extremely satisfied.

Also have a great screen to edit my content on, I love the feel of the keyboad, and perfect size for on the road content creation. Only knock on it is battery life, but thats kinda expected for it being slim and haven't explore other battery settings.

This model ships with a Integrated 71Wh, Lithium-Polymer Battery, which within this configuration, has a battery life of up to 7 hours, depending on the work the device is performing. Try using the Hybrid Power setting within the Lenovo Legion Vantage Dashboard to extend battery life. Some other battery-saving tips - Set your screen brightness at less than 100-percent - try 80-percent to start with. Then, be sure Battery conservation Mode is turned off. This power management setting should only be used when the laptop is plugged in all the time. It will prolong overall battery life by only charging the battery to 60-percent of capacity. Here is a link to instructions for turning off Battery Conservation Mode: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht103159. Also check what programs are running in the background on the computer. Be sure only the programs you want running in the background are. These programs will drain the battery. Then, finally, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 11. Incompatible software will drain the battery at a faster rate. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom of your Windows 11 Desktop. The screen is amazing, I don’t do gaming I bought it for solidworks, I hope the “RTX 3050 ti” can handle it good. The sound is decent. I bought it on sale for $1400, $400 less than normal price so I think was a good deal. I love the size specially because it has the numerical pad.

Using Lenova Legion Slim 15 inch computer

I purchased the computer to use when teaching a class remotely. The Invidia RTX processor takes pressure off the CPU. Screen has excellent resolution. Computer runs cool even when processing video files. Only limitation is that RAM cannot be increased. However, I have not experienced any slow down problems.

Upgraded from Asus g14 and not looking back whatsoever. Games run smoothly no issues up to date. Screen is beautiful ! Not many drawbacks thus far. Not sure why people would pay the same price / or even more for an apple laptop when this computer is capable of more.

The build quality is very nice and the machine is very fast. I had some issues out of windows 11 so I just downgraded back to windows 10 and all of my issues were solved

Performs well 60fps or more on triple a games. Fans loud when gaming gets a lil hot don’t expect much battery when gaming it’s gut tho

It seems more than powerful enough for my needs working with GIS and other applications. When running heavy processes the computer runs quite, though a bit warm. Battery life isnt terrific. Still, color me impressed.
