It was working great. 2 weeks later my laptop started crashing, and one day the system would no longer boot into Windows. I called Lenovo Support on 5/6, they are actually great to work with, however the laptop needed to be sent for repairs. Lenovo received my device on 5/12.... Its now 6/7 and I still have not seen my laptop or seen my repair status change. IF i can give its rating a negative rating I would. I should have bought the Best Buy warranty. And I will no longer buy any products from Lenovo. This is just horrible!!!

The keyboard backlight continuously rotated through this rainbow loop and when you press the Fn and spacebar like it says to shut it off, nothing happens. I spent over an hour with tech support for them to say return it. I can’t even exchange it because it was the last one at the store. On top of that the screen glitched and would respond to my mouse before giving a network drive error where i had to restart to see my wifi connection again. All in the first hour of having it!

This model ships with RGB keyboard backlighting that is controlled through the Legion Vantage Dashboard software installed on this computer. Regarding the screen issues you mention and the Network Drive error message you received, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 11. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 11 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If there is no incompatible software installed but the issues persist, now check to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 11 on the computer. Then update all BIOS files and drivers up to that latest version of Windows 11. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. There's really no excuse for this, especially for $1,500. Lenovo's QC department dropped the ball. I Googled the issue and apparently a lot of these computers have this defect...not worth getting it exchanged because I'll probably end up with something worse.

Defective laptop

I feel like my touch pad isnt working properly, like I can't seem to get a solid feel for the touch sensitivity. Also the key pad clicks loudly on 1,3, and 5. One last issue that I noticed, it briefly lags a bit when trying to load a power point or bringing up something simple and it shouldn't have these issues based off the specs. I was hoping to get a good one based off the reviews for this laptop but I will have to return it.

iCUE Type Lighting & Audio Vis. Non-functional.

This here's the workhorse you're looking for. Aesthetically, it looks great. H O W E V E R . While it works well for what it's worth, I bought the laptop because it was pretty. Kinda vain, sure. The iCUE software is buggy at best and type lighting and audio visualizers don't function AT ALL. Lenovo Tech Support claims that this device doesn't support that, but then why is iCUE even in/on this computer? I'd suggest re-teaming up with Corsair to attempt to fix this issue.

Resetting your computer back to original factory settings may correct the issue you are having. Power the computer off. This system is equipped with OneKey Recovery System. There is a very small pin hole on the right side of the device, right near the USB-c ports on the right side of the device. You will need a pin to push this reset button. Plug the device in. Let the battery charge for about 15 minutes. Push the reset button. The system should boot to a choice screen where you can choose "Restore To Factory Default". Select this. It will delete everything from the hard drive except the original factory install of the operating system. You will need to reinstall all programs and files after the reset. If you don't have copies of the files, try to make one before you restore by selecting "Boot to desktop" and trying to back up your files. We always recommend you check the requirements and compatibility of any software/games you will be installing on your new computer, before you invest in any computer. Be sure your new computer can support the software/games you will need to use and your workload. If you are closing the lid of the device, be sure to check your settings as to what your Legion Slim 7 is set to do when you close the lid.
