Bought this to get into 3d printing and designing, does everything I need and more. I really only do it as a hobby so this works perfect. Really like how it has a metal finish vs plastic, seems pretty durable although it attracts fingerprints. Been almost a year since purchased and still works as good as the day I got it. Great display and is fast. Only complaint is the battery life doesn’t last long but considering the slim design it’s understandable.

This is a nicely optioned laptop with a respectable amount of ports packed into a compact package. I’m a big fan of Lenovo in general and this laptop is what I’ve grown to expect from them. Build quality is great, screen is nice and crisp, keyboard backlighting is really good and being able to change key color key by key is nice for your macros and shortcuts. Like most laptops, its slim form factor does cause it to be loud when you’re running a game. It’s not super intrusive but it’s not nothing. Headphones are probably in order if you’re planning on gaming for a while. Super happy with it overall, would buy again without hesitation.

I bought this laptop for work, school, and gaming, and it has exceeded my expectations. The AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card provide excellent performance. Overall, I highly recommend this laptop to anyone looking for a powerful and portable machine that can handle all their needs.

I love this laptop; It's one of the lightest powerful laptops you can purchase today, won't break the bank, won't fry your lap under normal use; does get hot when playing demanding games but it's to be expected with this form factor.
My only concern is I'm getting screen brightness flickering when running on battery & integrated GPU (AMD chip).
I contacted Lenovo support who spent about one hour remotely connected to my computer trying to fix the issue.
They recommended I returned it but I'm hoping it resolves itself as some people on Reddit mentioned it could.
If it doesn't I'll have to reluctantly get an exchange; but probably for the same one. This is the one!

Amazingly Powerful Laptop, small QC problems

This laptop is a great combination of great work usefulness when needed and gaming performance.
Besides the usual specs, there are a few things that I have to mention. The keyboard is fantastic! The spacing is great for larger fingers and it's responsive without being overly loud. The laptop is also quite light and easy to carry or keep on your lap.
The fans do get loud in performance mode, but not overbearingly loud. In addition, it's not a whine, but rather just a sound of fans going. Not bad at all!
The downsides I have are regarding QC. When I first used the laptop, my USB-C SSD did not want to read in one of the ports. This was eventually remedied by installing new drivers, so that's not too bad. My keyboard lighting is a big odd though. I like a solid color, and I have 6 keys that do not have a blue in the lighting and 3 keys without red. I checked software and drivers, and this seems to be a hardware issue.
I'll live with it as the screen I got does not have any dead pixels and the laptop is overall amazing!

This pc is exactly what I wanted. All the power needed to game and 3d modelling in such a compact and beautiful device.
The only problem is that it doesn't have enough USB ports (atleast for me), but I'm loving it.
I was worried about its heat issue but its not as bad as i expected.

Bought this a year ago and didn’t bother to go back to review because I was and still am pleased about my product. I definitely recommend Lenovo to be the top and best choice for high quality gaming laptop. I got this laptop on sale which is a steal. This model is great and the battery life went downhill after a year and of course it is like that for most device. However, when you first use it in couple months, the battery life is great. It’ll not go downhill if you take care of it. So don’t be like me.

This laptop is fantastic. I have a 4090 + 5900x build and I really needed a laptop that was powerful enough to keep up with it for travel. This laptop does so well in terms of gaming and productivity. It's thin and not bulky like most gaming laptops. I bought this one open box-satisfactory expecting it to come with a few bumps and bruises, but it looks brand new. Overall, the laptop is top notch. The only complaint I have is the heat it generates and the fact I had to play around with the bios to uncap the framerate past 40fps.

This is a really cool gaming laptop! It has a strong processor from AMD and awesome graphics from NVIDIA that make games look super good at 1080p. The screen is sharp and colorful, and it refreshes super fast for this price range. Plus, it comes with a special offer to play lots of games on Xbox Game Pass for 3 months. The keyboard lights up in different colors, and the speakers sound good for a laptop this thin. It also has lots of ports to connect things like a mouse, headphones, or a second screen. But, like all things, it's not perfect. Still, it's a great choice for gaming and productivity on a budget!

Replaced my Asus 2-1 with this for a road machine. An excellent performer but beware! I upgraded the Nvme to a 1TB and put the original Nvme in slot 1 to put Fedora 35 on it. Win 10 AND 11 DO NOT NATIVELY RECOGNISE THE WIFI CHIP. Had to use Win10 for clean install as it will allow you to not have internet to finish install win11 will not. After updating and putting in the drivers upgraded to Win11 Pro no problem. THEN... Win11 update loads an AMD graphics driver which made the latest RADEON software throw up and the onboard AMD graphics card disappear from the device manager (Now the Nvidia 3060 is fantastic but I like everything to work) Using Lenovo's scan diagnostic got it back and was able to install Radeon software. THEN... Linux users need to be aware there is NO DRIVER avail for the Realtek WIFI chip period. Had to get a USB Linux compatible wifi unit to make it work. Everything else was ok. So after all that I still say this laptop is a great performer just be aware if you want a bigger drive or dual boot or do a clean install be prepared to tinker with it.

It’s very powerful for its size, the display is good for gaming, port selection is great (only thing I would change is to put one usb c on each side instead of on the right) and the build quality is exceptional (very rigid) however easily picks up finger prints and the hinge is a bit tight (can still open with one hand). The keyboard is perfectly executed (crisp tactile clicks, amazing rgb lighting). Only negative is the easy fingerprints on chassis.

In less than 2 years the webcam has failed and the fans have become excessively whiny despite keeping the machine in meticulous condition with regular cleaning. The touchpad is dysfunctional at times due to static buildup and not being grounded properly.
With that being said, when working properly, this machine struck a perfect balance of gaming and portability with decent battery life after some tinkering and tweaking.

This is a great, powerful machine in a very slim package. The response times are great, I'm able to run games locally as well as through the cloud flawlessly. Red Dead Online is smooth and looks fantastic on screen.
Fans are a bit noisy but if I were compare it to my consoles, console discs make far more noise spinning then these fans do. I can feel plenty of warm air circulating out the back / sides but it never get hot.
I love how easy it is to switch performance levels. Looking forward to upgrading the SSD to a larger one later on. I wish I had known one of the 2 - 8GB RAM sticks is soldered to the motherboard but I can still upgrade the other if I feel the need later.
Lastly, the image BestBuy uses displays Windows 10 but be warned this laptop comes with Windows 11 installed. I've had no issues and actually enjoy figuring out how to use it, but wish I has mentally prepared myself a bit more for it.
Overall I've had a few Lenovo laptops in the past and this by far is my favorite one. I'd buy it again in an instant.

Excellent gaming and general purpose laptop. One of the few gaming laptops with a 10-key, which is a requirement for using this for dual purpose work from home. Fans on full speed aren't that loud, handles 1080p gaming with great settings/quality. Battery life isn't great, however that is expected of a laptop of this performance level. I/O is a bit lacking, however a basic USB-C to HDMI/USB hub allows for all of those peripherals and extra monitors.

How did they manage this???

Had this thing for about a month and this biggest surprise to me is how this this thing is and yet manages to stay cool while under full load. This is the first “gaming” laptop I’ve owned and I’d seen reviews saying that some laptops get so hot it heats up the keyboard and “burns your fingers” but this thing stays so cool I due to the massive mesh underneath to draw in loads of air.
Pros-
Thermals stay low quiet and cool on auto. (Haven’t really used much on turbo) especially for being ultra book thin.
The screen looks amazing. That’s what initially drew me to it in store in the first place. Best looking and most vibrant 1080p screen on display in my store and it still looks great in normal everyday conditions.
The keyboard feels real good to me and you get a full number pad.
Cons-
Corsair I cue intergrate is horrid it doesn’t turn of or switch profiles like on my desktop software unless you open the program and manually select it and that’s if you get the program to respond to your clicks
The finish like smudges and fingerprints and drives me crazy because it looks so good clean but is hard to keep that’s way.
I/o kinda sucks weird placements but I understand limitations with being so thin. Fixed this with a dongle.
Overall if other thicker laptops have worse thermals and blow heat all over and cook your fingers while gaming or watching videos then this thing is a 10/10 if that’s not the case anymore and other laptops can manage the same thing 8/10
Oh and this has usb c charging even though Lenovo says it doesn’t and people on the internet say it doesn’t sometimes too

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 15 Gaming Laptop, model number 82K80083US. You can control the RGB Keyboard backlighting within the Legion Vantage Dashboard software installed on this computer. This performance model configuration ships with and requires a 230W external power supply, slim tip (device side) - (3-pin USA compatible wall side) AC adapter/charger, 100-240V, 50-60Hz, to both power this performance configuration and charge the internal battery. The 230W power supply/AC adapter/charger uses a dedicated charging port on the computer. The maximum wattage that a USB-c port can currently carry is 100W maximum, which will not power this device while plugged in or properly charge the internal battery.

Such a great laptop, nothing we’ve ever built has been perfect.. everything has its flaws, but this is truly one hell of a laptop.
I bought this on sale, after taxes it was $1,200.
$1,200 got me an RTX3060, 16Gb of Ram, 512Gb ssd with a Ryzen 7 5800x.
Not to mention you can upgrade this into a desktop killer, what I mean by that is..
You can upgrade this with a 2TB Samsung 970evo, as well as 32Gb of ddr4 Gskill ram.
After upgrading you’ll have 40Gb of Ram, 2.5TB of storage with that 3060 to back it up.
It plays everything at over 100 frames with ultra settings as the default preset lmaooo.
I love this thing.. it’s a little loud but if you know how to utilize your apps/background usage..
You’ll be just fine, play it safe and be smart.
Looks can be deceiving.
The laptop finish is a fingerprint magnet, but the interior is just fine.
It also comes with Harmon Kardon speakers so playing without a headset is fabulous.
The screen is also color accurate and super responsive, very fun to play on. (165Hz)
I’ve never used the camera or even taken the tape off it due to spyware.
It’s just a personal thing.
Thank you for reading! I hope this helped!

Laptop can get very noisey when playing games, the fans are very loud. Performance is pretty good but with how slim it is thermals can really be a nightmare. If you dont mind tweaking cpu settings to reduce thermals this is a pretty good deal.

High performance and quiet but a little weighty. Capable of great gaming or content creation thanks to the Ryzen CPU and GeForce GPU combo and decent battery life for browsing and light student work. Big power block is bulky and no cheap light travel options available. Good screen quality with high brightness and good viewing angles. Strong chassis resists damage from bumps and knocks in back packs etc. going to school/work.
