Reinstall Windows to Get the Longest Battery Life

I use HWiNFO to check the battery usage and I found that no matter what I do the discharge rate was always above 20w which resulted in only 2-hour battery life. So I did a fresh installation of Windows and avoided the iCue software cause I heard it drains battery quite heavily. After reinstallation of Windows, I do the following things on battery power: 1. hybrid mode on 2. Thermal mode: quiet 3. 60hz screen refresh rate 4. battery saver on 5. turn off rgb 6. efficient power mode in Windows settings 7. turn off onedrive/dropbox syncing 8. maximum cpu usage on battery <100% With the above settings, I can get about 8 hours for productivity usage (maybe more or less depends on what I actually do).

Very good thin and light gaming laptop

Unfortunately, my unit didn't come with the best equipped thermal system, and often throttled on the maximum performance setting. I often just used it in Balanced or Quiet mode.

Graphics are clean n sharp. Not bulky, less space needed when travelling, Quick response to internet n openning different apps on screen. Would buy again.

I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT. THE RGB BACKLIT KEYBOARD, THE METAL CHASIS, WINDOWS 11 INSTALLED AND THE FACT THAT IT IS SLIM. IT WAS ALITTLE MORE MONEY THEN I WAS GOING TO SPEND... BUT IT WAS DEFINITLEY WORTH THE MONEY.

Great Machine for Size and Price

Runs most the games I play with ease. Nothing really to complain about on the hardware side with the exception of the battery but as being its a slim model, kind of expected. Screen to me is nice and crisp. Software wise, had two issues. The Bluetooth and the Wireless would drop off all the time. Had to uninstall drivers for both which when I looked was way out of date but system kept saying "latest drivers installed". After a manual install of the two drivers everything worked perfectly.

Needed a faster computer and this one does the job. Was replacing a Yoga i5, first I purchased a Samsung that after two days, it updated the bios by itself and never turned on again. Then got an Hp. Could not stand the Hp keyboard, made me feel like I was using an old typewriter so I returned it and got this Lenovo Legion. Big difference. Looks better, seems better, I’m just very happy with the screen, keyboard, speed and RAM that it comes with. Next time I need a new laptop I’m just going for the brand that I think is the best and suits my preference’s, Lenovo.

Very fast. Chose this for the NVIDIA card because I do a lot of 3D modeling and my older machine was just not cutting it anymore. But this this is handling 3D great. Love the iCue color keyboard and fingerprint reader built into the power button so pushing the button not only turns it on, it logs me in right away. Battery life is not extremely exceptional, but pretty good, I get 3-4 hours with constant heavy usage, but seems to recharge fairly quickly. Look and feel are really nice too. Feels solid and looks great.

Stands up well against the few AAA titles I’ve installed thus far. My only gripe with this configuration is storage size. For the price and specs, this should have been offered with at least a 1 TB SSD.
