Here are a couple troubleshooting steps to try: First, this model Legion Slim 7i features a camera “kill switch” that can be activated on the right side of the computer to digitally disable the camera for privacy purposes. If this is switched on, you will see a red indicator if activated and a pop-up graphic on the screen of your computer that shows a camera symbol with a line through it if the camera has been digitally deactivated. If the switch is off, yet your camera is not functioning, we recommend checking for updates through Windows Update settings and Lenovo Vantage. To navigate there, select start on the taskbar (windows logo) or press the windows key on the keyboard then select Settings. In Settings, select Windows Update, and then select the Check For Updates button. Install any available updates and restart your PC if required. If you didn’t have any updates that required a restart, it’s still a good idea to restart your device to make sure any pending updates are installed. Additionally, check for updates in the Lenovo Vantage application that is preinstalled on Windows devices. You can check by opening the app, navigating to the device tab, and selecting the “check for updates” option. If there are updates to install, follow the onscreen directions to finalize those updates. Fans stopped working three weeks into using. computer wont boot if USB devices are plugged in. Computer takes around 3 mins to fully load windows 2 mins to POST. Lenovo support is horrible. took them three months to send a ship to depot box. then they closed the ticket...

Excelled Lenovo Laptop

I will say once I recieved it I was very impressed and surpassed my expectations. First thing I noticed was the build quality to be superior. Has a little bit of weight (nothing abnormal) but enough to tell by the feel and look this PC is nothing but top notch quality. The build quality is proceeded by the speed of this laptop. Booted up right away and very minimal bloatware (thank you Lenovo) and couldn't be more impressed. They keyboard is awesome with the RGB lighting and the ability to customize it to your preference. I noticed th4 previous comment about heat and thought I would comment to clarify. It runs a little warm which is only expected with the specs of this laptop. I bought the Targus cooler and the heat is barley noticeable when running whatever apps/games I want. This shouldn't be a concern for any potential buyer. Overall this is one of the best laptops I have ever purchased. Build quality, configuration, speed and ability to customize things like keyboard color, ect. Lenovo has a great series of laptops here. It shows their desire of quality that only reflects and reiterates their passion with the Lenovo name. If you have any doubts don't have any and purchase this laptop you will not be disappointed.

Good Value but Horrible Functionality

This laptop was a pretty good value when I first bought it compared to other laptops with similar specs. The RTX 3060 Moblie only had six GB of VRAM, but running any games that were not set to the max or VR games was good. However, this laptop is not stable for normal tasks: I had 8 bluescreens over 6 months of owning it. The GPU will not turn off when I need it off to save battery life (I need to restart my laptop 5 times to turn off the GPU fully, and sometimes it takes at least 2 minutes to never turn off) One of my RAM modules blew up, and the laptop failed to turn on, which required me to send it for repairs for 4 weeks WHILE BEING A COLLEGE STUDENT. Battery capacity degrades quickly, so I will need to get a new battery soon. Hard to clean the screen. The laptop will draw too many watts on default settings until it becomes thermal throttling and will damage itself if you don't limit the watts and speed of the CPU. (90 W for a laptop CPU is a bit too much to handle for a slim laptop) No all-day battery. I will always need to plug in this laptop after 6 hours of demanding Chrome web searches.

Powerful and slim based on the specs. Maxed out to 25gb ram and filled up the empty nvme slot with a 1 tb storage. It gets decent battery life - approx. 5-6 hrs considering the processor it has. You can probably squeeze out another hour of battery life if you lower down the refresh rate to 48hz. Its good that it has that option. Decent touchpad, good tactile keyboard, and great build quality. If you are traveling and will not be gaming just bring a 135 watt gan charger rather than carry the brick charger.
