Very good system for the price. Ryzen5, ax type board, with a decent ssd is good at this price point. Only issue i have is a horrible hum that is coming from the back fan. Going to try to change fan settings in bios this evening and if that doesn't work ill just replace it.

Love this computer! The only thing I recommend is that you upgrade the ram and buy a standalone ssd hdd as it takes uo a ram slot with the one it came with. Other than that great for gaming and streaming!

After much research, I have decided to upgrade my 10 years old Desktop to this beautiful machine Lenovo Legion Tower 5.
The unit is very well-built, and it looks really nice with full-spectrum LED lights.
The drawback is that this unit comes with a 400W power supply, which is just barely enough to run the system. I recommend upgrading the power supply to at least 500W to ensure the highest performance and longevity of the system.
This system is upgradable with two trays for additional HDDs, it also has 4 slots of RAM.
The case is 26L, but it quite cramps inside due to weird frame dividers. I am able to add 16 GB of RAm (total 24GB) and upgrade the power supply to Corsair 660W.
Overall, I am very happy with this unit.

Great starter p.c for gaming.
My son has made some large game downloads and so have I and we still have plenty of gigs left to play with.
The best buy fella who helped me choose this p.c showed me how easy it is to swap memory cards, so when we're ready to upgrade we can either do it ourselves or bring it to geek squad. I purchased the 3 year geek squad protection plan with this should I need them, I feel comfortable knowing we have that protection.

We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Lenovo Legion Tower 5 AMD Gaming Desktop Computer. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If there is no incompatible software installed, but the issue continues, now check to see if you have the latest version of Windows 10 on the computer. Then update all BIOS files and drivers up to that latest version of Windows 10. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. If the issue still continues after these updates, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686 for additional help.

Ordered in store...got it shipped to my house. Plugged it in and got an error message right away stating "Your PC/Device needs to be repaired". Followed the prompts and attempted to do a Recovery but it just kept displaying the same error message. Gave up after numerous attempts. Hoping this was just a case of bad luck. Will try to order a replacement at Best Buy tomorrow and will update my review accordingly.

This is my first gaming computer as well as my first new computer that I have purchased. There wasn't anything in particular that drove me to buying this particular model other than it was available.
When shopping for a computer I wanted three things
1) The computer must have an internal preinstalled graphics card of some merit
2) I wanted AMD since that is the current easiest way to guarantee an upgrade in the future should i want to.
3) It had to be a desktop
This computer met all of these qualifications for a price point that was well under the amount that I would have spent purchasing the parts myself given the large scalping prices on graphics cards right now.
the computer worked well out of the box and only required a minimal amount of set up through lenovo's product things.
surprisingly the computer came with very little bloat ware and really just came with the programs to run the RGB components in the case as well as mcafee which i am currently not using in favor of a different VPS.
i have two complaints with the computer that give it a 4 star rating the first is really the compromises you make for this tier system i would have liked to have at least 16 gb of ram but honestly i can install that in the future, so im not too worried about it
the second is the real complaint. it took me a couple of days of on and off fidling with the machine to figure out where the settings for the rgb are in the computers software, i found it finally but there was no mention of it in the pdf manual that came on the machine so there was a lot of trial and error just finding the settings. but once i got to them they worked like a dream. anyway overall a great computer for the price and im excited to try it out more as i play with it

I bought this for my 10 year old. He had a laptop but they are too fragile for him, so this worked out better. I normally build all of my computers, but with the parts so hard to come by right now, this was the best option I could find.
Pros:
- Good looking case; well ventilated
- Good cable management
- Lenovo bios is surprisingly user friendly & well done
- Lenovo's software it uses to manage it's updates is clean
- Very little bloatware installed
- WiFi
- RGB
- Comes with a keyboard and mouse, which is nice if you need something NOW
Cons:
- 8GB of RAM, it's a samsung brand that I haven't had a super easy time finding at a good price
- Power supply may need to be upgraded if you ever want to stick a higher end card in here, such as the RTX 2000/3000 series.
If you are looking for a good entry level gaming PC, this is a good choice. You don't really have to upgrade anything to play most games. I personally would like to see it with 16GB of RAM, but 8GB will be ok for now. The 1650 Super is slightly better than a 1060, and it will do the job just fine for 1080p gaming. I paired this with a 1080p 144hz Gsync monitor from HP for my son, and it seems to make him pretty happy. We've tested Fortnite, WoW, Paladins, Battlerite, Sea of Thieves, and all run very well with GeForce experience recommended settings.

My first gaming computer. Not having to install mods to DOWNGRADE graphical quality and processing requirements for games is neat. I previously had a Samsung laptop with integrated graphics and 4gb ram. Playing Skyrim was such a struggle but I loved it and dealt with it. I was able to 'play' GTA IV and early versions of Ark on this lap top, for reference, of course on the lowest settings, with a lot of patience due to load times and pretty bad frame rates.
By comparison, with this computer I'm actually able to launch Skyrim Special Edition, GTA V and Ark, all on the highest settings, straight out of the box. The speed that the games load at and the clarity of the graphics was startling. Not just my old lap top, but also way faster and better looking than even my Xbox One. Needless to say both my XB1 and PS4 will be collecting dust for a while. Other games I tried include PCSX2 (Marvel vs Capcom 2, 4k resolution, DX11), The Walking Dead (Final Season), Civilization V and Marvel vs Capcom Infinite, all on the highest settings. I have little doubt that this machine will carry me through into the next generation of gaming, although perhaps with slightly lowered settings. According to the Oculus VR compatibility app, it is also VR ready, which I'll look into eventually.
Keyboard and mouse were a nice touch, but kinda basic, so I did replace them with gaming versions that also light up to better match the tower. Maybe I'm paranoid but I do wonder if the lights increase the temperature inside the tower. It's also pretty cool that the lights on the tower (and mouse and keyboard) stay lit up even when the computer is off. Fans are so quiet I don't notice them.
The only 'drawback ' of this machine that I've seen so far is the relatively small hard drive. It is SSD, which is as fast as all the hype I've heard said it would be, but I'm glad I already owned a 2TB external hard drive. If other reviews are to be believed, however, this SSD takes up a RAM slot, so if you want to upgrade RAM at some point you'll have a choice to make.
It's unfortunate that after I bought it I realized that there was an option to upgrade components for another $150. I would've gone for that if it was more viewable. Taking a point from value.

I NEED TO WARN PEOPLE ABOUT A BIG ISSUE THIS PC HAS FOR HIGH END GAMING.
Let me first say, other than the issue I'm about to state, I adore this PC for the most part. It actually came in, in very good condition. No connectors half plugged in, cable management was pretty good besides the GPU power cable, it posted and booted just fine. It runs games like a dream and has amazing airflow for a prebuilt system HOWEVER.. THIS. PC. DOESN'T. ALLOW. XMP. Lenovo thought it was a good idea to not include memory profiles in this PC's BIOS. So this Corsair Vengeance RAM I just got is stuck at 2133 MHz, instead of it's max of 3200 MHz. Actually, it's the same BIOS as the Legion 7, however the Legion 7 allows XMP, but they locked that feature or took it out of this BIOS. There is no actual technical reason for this, this Ryzen 5 3600 can handle that RAM speed no problem. Nobody has commented about this in reviews and of course they don't say this in any sales material or specs for this PC. STOP HANDICAPPING PERFECTLY FINE SETUPS. They don't just expect every customer to keep the garbage single channel 8GB RAM in the system do they?

Got this a few months ago and it runs great. I mainly play cod on it but a few other games. Does fine with most settings maxed out. I don't know how it'll perform if you start getting more extensive though. I would recommend upgraded the ram, the motherboard and os should handle up to 128gb and it only comes with 8. An extra hard drive will be needed too especially if you're running cod. We all know they need some 500trillion gb of space for one game. Overall awesome unit though for the price. Good beginner setup and easily upgradeable.

I bought this when is was on sale for 100 dollars off. And then threw that 100 towards 16gb of ram so I don’t know what it’s like at 8gb but so far I am loving this pc. It’s not as flashy as some other PCs from the front but it definitely gets the job done with all my games. The only issue I’ve ever had is that randomly my USB ports will lose power for like a second, so for example my headset will cut out for a moment. But it’s very rare and like I said, doesn’t last long so it’s not a huge issue. Definitely worth the money. On sale at least

Bear in mind, I’m a computer novice and a gaming...well whatever is below novice. This computer is fast easy to connect and frankly the cool colors are awesome. I do wish it came with larger memory but I will add that later. After I watch 9,000 YouTube videos to show me how. There are so many free games out there to just get a hint at how good these graphics are. I am sure this graphics card is not for those who are serious gamers but for a person just starting, I am blown away.
