Exceptional prebuilt with annoying drawbacks

For the price I paid, you can likely squeeze a bit more mileage out of a custom built machine. However, it would be such a marginal difference that the build quality, the plug and play nature of prebuilts, and the usual OEM warranty makes up the difference.
There was bloatware, of course, but it took 10 minutes to get rid of it. It runs everything I play at 1080p with 120+ FPS or 1440p at between 60 and 90.
It's dead quiet, even when playing workhorse games. The RGB is... Fine. You can totally turn it off, mess with the colors to some degree, and tune the brightness levels. Overall probably the weakest part of the device, but honestly it looks perfectly fine. I just turn them all white (or white adjacent) because I prefer a more muted setup.
It has moderate upgradability. The PSU is a bit weak, but that's all you should need to upgrade to support a better GPU if you decide to. RAM is super straightforward as with any other, but my absolute biggest gripe with its performance is the lack of XMP on this motherboard. Some speculate that it's locked out to minimize "fiddling" with the BIOS, but, frankly, it's totally unacceptable. With that said, though, the average person running a 3060 isn't looking for insane RAM performance anyway. You can still upgrade to 4 sticks if you need to, but staying with 2 and just upping those is already way, way more than 99% of people need... But that doesn't excuse them locking XMP.
The only other pain point I have is how quickly it shows dust. The colors I use on the lighting do me no favors in this regard, and a computer is only as dusty as the room it's in, but it's very stark.
Honestly, as far as prebuilts go, it's exceptional.
For the average "I'm afraid to mess with the settings" buyer: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
For the "I know computers but can't afford top end" buyer: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
For the "I'm only hear to make fun of prebuilts" buyer: ⭐⭐

My User Benchmark Below

Here is my benchmark: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/66529182
I ran this benchmark in the same week I got the computer with no upgrades. Just the i5-13400F with RTX 3060 12GB LHR, and 16GB of ram being underclocked to 4400 MHz.
I don't understand why all the marketing literature and spec guides say this thing has 4800 MHz ram in it. while that may be true, the 4800 is being ran at 4400.
Neither here nor there, the benchmark above shows it still performs well. I don't know enough to know if that's a strange thing or a normal thing for manufacturers to do.
I got this model for under $800 with free shipping. For that price I think it's an absolute steal. It is extremely quiet. I'm talking the quietest computer I've ever heard. Even when gaming! Sure it's not a fire breather GPU, but for 800 bucks, I'm convinced it's one of the nicest computers you can get. If you get the i7 or i9 I bet it won't be as quiet as this one. It's currently able to run fortnite in 2K at medium settings with FPS consistently above 200, averaging 240 FPS. And that's running the new season that is more graphic intensive. Even with that I can't figure out how to utilize the CPU and GPU more because at those settings, resolution, and frame rate I'm still only using 50 - 60% of my GPU and CPU.
Unless you're doing something super specific, this desktop as it comes from the factory is all you need.
The best part is the Lenovo app. All you do is go on there and hit check for updates and it finds all the new drivers and BIOS updates for you. I am coming from an alienware laptop where the alienware command center was supposed to do the same thing but it never did it correctly.... and it was a pain. Lenovo's actually works. I got a thinkpad for work earlier this year and the user experience with lenovo was so awesome I decided to go with them when my Alienware 15 R4 finally kicked the bucket.
I even bought a lenovo display to go with my lenovo desktop... guess I'm a Lenovo fanboy now lol. It's easy to be one when their stuff works well and looks good.
Anyway, this is a great computer. Super easy set up, great upgradability if you need it. But right out of the box this thing has been great. My buddy almost bought this exact one after seeing it. He couldn't believe how quiet it runs. But the deal didn't last... the deal will be back and when it is I would highly suggest this desktop.

We bought this Lenovo Legion Tower 5i gaming desktop computer because it offered impressive performance and a sleek design, making it an excellent choice for for my son for Christmas. Some of the key features and benefits that sold us on this computer are:
Powerful GPU: The Tower 5i comes equipped with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070, a powerful GPU that delivers excellent gaming performance
Quiet Operation: The computer is designed to operate quietly, with the fans only becoming noticeable during longer gaming sessions
Attractive Design: The Tower 5i features a gaming-focused look that is not overly aggressive, with good RGB lighting and plenty of ventilation
1080p Gaming Performance: The Lenovo Legion Tower 5i offers exceptional 1080p gaming performance, making it a great choice for online gaming at this resolution
Competitive Price: It was priced on sale for $400 off during the holidays, the Tower 5i is slightly more expensive than other RTX 4070 gaming PCs, but its powerful CPU and overall performance made it a worthwhile investment
Upgradeability: The Tower 5i does not come with any non-standard parts, making it easy to upgrade in the future, which is something my son was wanting.
Overall, the Lenovo Legion Tower 5i is a reliable and powerful gaming desktop computer that works exceptionally well for online gaming. Its combination of performance, design, and competitive pricing make it a strong contender in the mid-range gaming PC market in my opinion. So far it's exceeded all of his gaming needs with zero issues.

No words can better decribe this PC, this thing has been able to hande every game i have thrown at it with impressive numbers. I had no prior experience with pc’s before purchasing so i was worried it wouldn’t be able to handle modern games but it showed me it can without breaking a sweat. The case and fan color customisating is also impressive, it lets you change the colors to whatever you want to match your set up. The upgradability is also good with everything being easily availabe. I have so far only added a 1tb NVMe SSD since the 512gb that it comes with is definitely not enough with how big some games are now. Would recommed for people like me who are beginners and have no experiece since setting it up was really easy and i had zero issues out the box!

Great Machine for Games, VR

So far so good. I've been throwing a lot at it with results better than expected. Has all the connections I need plus some, and has performed very well with Modern Games, VR and my Stable Diffusion dabbling.
I updgraded my ram to 32gb on day one, so I can't speak to the 16gb performance. Also do yourself a favor, update to Windows 11 pro and wipe the computer of the 3rd party apps that deploy several tiny processes that add up.
Cyberpunk runs great, with visual mods at a solid 55-60fps 1440p. Not Ultra, but very much good vs consoles. Great for VR too, running half-life Alyx between High and Ultra tethered - Alyx is a game changer.
Computer has barely put up a fuss, made sound and doesn't seem to operate or I'm not pushing it. This was the first Gaming PC I have bought in a decade, and I'm happy with this. Little fuss with great results.
Just know, it's not the top of the line, there will be limits you will need to accept. If you are getting this under 900 in 2024, I think that's perfect. Not photorealistic gaming but smooth gaming with lots of speed for other life tasks.

Great PC, I bought it when it was on sale for $800. You might want to upgrade the storage if you want to download 3/4 big games. it runs great frames on games like fortnite/rocket league etc. but i suggest that u get at least a 240 hz monitor

was a little skeptical about purchasing a pre-build, as i’ve always just built myself. i must say i am very impressed. no changes or upgrades needed for my satisfaction. airflow is fantastic. m.2 ssd + ddr5 ram makes this computer extremely fast! dont be fooled by seeing an i3 as weak… benchmarks show intel i3 gen 13 keep up with a 10th gen i7. even the 3060 has much more power than expected, i am averaging 130fps@1080p on Fortnite and Overwatch at max graphics settings. very satisfied with my purchase. also, theres a little button on the back of the motherboard that toggles RGB on/off which is really nice!! love that feature. bought on sale for $849 and totally worth it.

This Legion is great especially since I caught it on sale, if you’re thinking of grabbing one of these wait until there is a sale and go for it, you won’t be disapointed. Everything worked as expected and was as easy as any other windows computer to set up. It has all the connections and speed for the average consumer these days. Unless your a professional gammer this will be the computer that will last you for the next 5-10 years performane wise. If you are just playing Minecraft, animating or modeling in CAD or Blender then this will last you a life time.

It’s my first time owning a PC and love it. I got it on sale ($800), and was looking for something else to game on and work on, so far it has fulfilled both of those needs. If you are looking into getting a PC I would suggest looking for something around the $800 mark. I plan on learning and upgrading mine in the future but $800 is a good start. If there is one thing I could say about my PC is that it exceeded my expectations.

I bought this for our church streaming setup. The presentation software required more from a graphics card than we were able to do with our old system. This is perfect for what we need. As a gamer also, i would highly recommend something like this if you dont want to build one. The price is definitely reasonable for a pre-built as well.

You will not find better pc for this price!
I’m very happy with this Lenovo legion . I was searching a lot and stopped my eye on this one , I’ve seen that huge sale 450$, and first of all I thought it’s a scam or something, so I checked everything, all details about this pc. Processor, video card everything was pretty powerful to run all new games on high fps. Also there is no reason to built your pc, cause this one still going to be cheaper!
Overall 5 stars of course. Thank you.
