It has occasional tearing that would happen, to the point of having to restart your PC, as well often black screen popups every time a game is launched. It's super slow, where the mouse has obvious drag across the screen and is not suitable for gaming. Despite it claiming it to be.

This monitor ships with G-Sync Technology to prevent screen tearing when used with a computer that is G-Sync compatible. First check your computer side settings to be sure G-Sync capability is enabled, then check the On-screen settings Menus for adjusting the monitor side settings. If this does not correct the issue, resetting your Legion Y25-25 Monitor my correct the issue. OSD pops up randomly and its really annoying. Warranty support was no help. Currently contacting Best Buy to see if I can get any help.

Take note of the On Screen Settings Menus and the available adjustments you can make with the menus. The Y25-25 Monitor ships with one HDMI 2.0 version port and one DisplayPort 1.2 version port for connection to a compatible video source, like a computer or gaming console. This model ships with one 6ft. DisplayPort 1.2 version cable, the power cable and a USB 3.1 Type A to Type B cable - 6 ft. cable for connecting the monitor to a computer to power the USB ports on this monitor. This USB Type A to USB Type B must be connected to the computer and the monitor to power the USB ports on the monitor. If you continue to have issues with your Legion Y25-25 Monitor, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support for Monitors at: 866-426-0911. You also can ask questions here and we will respond.
Not worth it

You have to have free sync on in order to activate Gsync, which would distort the color and cause major screen tearing. I researched multiple sites and couldn’t figure out how to fix the issue. I ended up buying the ASUS TUF Gaming VG259QMY. Insane difference between display quality and the Gsync works. I wasn’t impressed by Lenovo’s monitor I hope it was just a defective product.

Posted .Hello, we are sorry to hear you had this experience with the Lenovo Y25-25 monitor model # 66AAGAC6US. This is a FreeSync monitor that is G-Sync Compatible. You do not have to have FreeSync as it is built into the monitor. For G-Sync to work you will need a compatible Display Port Cable. G-Sync is only compatible through Display Port on this monitor. Next you will need an Nvidia Graphics Card with the latest NVidia driver installed Lastly you must activate the "G-sync On" box within the Nvidia control panel settings under the "G-Sync Tab. This will eliminate screen tearing and does not cause color distortions when enabled.
