The good: This monitor is big, bright, and vibrant. I was using a Dell 24-inch 1080p IPS monitor that was decent and this one blows it out of the water. Variable refresh rate makes everything buttery smooth. No dead pixels. Colors really pop! This monitor absolutely does what it's supposed to do! The bad: IPS glow is pretty noticeable in dark areas. It's not terrible, and I may have lost the panel lottery a little. I suppose a bit of that is to be expected. Don't bother with the "extreme" overdrive setting unless you like peach-colored motion blur. Normal overdrive is plenty with minimal ghosting. Lenovo Artery software is buggy and doesn't do enough. Dragging the brightness/contrast sliders runs at about 2fps for some reason. Setting brightness/contrast through Artery might not stick between reboots, so you have to set it from the OSD. Be sure to install the tiny monitor driver itself unless you want to hear the constant Windows "device connected/disconnected" sounds over and over once the monitor goes to sleep. OSD settings like "Game1" are not presets that you can start from, but fixed modes that lock a bunch of OSD options. This is ridiculous. If I like one of the presets I should be able to use it as a starting point and adjust it further from there. Overall, I'm glad that I bought this monitor, but Lenovo needs to do better on the software/firmware front. I'm hoping that we'll see some patches from Lenovo. Probably a vain hope.

Coming from Lenovo I thought it would be sort of weird. But I actually really liked it. Especially the 1440p 165hz 1ms and Gsync. I use it for gaming and my games look much better now compared to old 1080p 144. Paired with a 3090 so it looks stunning. When screen is black you can see the backlight but it doesn’t really bother until you focus on it too much

Color is super accurate. HDR works great. 165hz is amazing to look at. Really makes a huge difference in gaming performance and visuals if your GPU can reach the frame rate. Easy to set up, stand is a little big but nothing to worry about. No problems here. Would recommend to others.

The picture of quality this monitor is often jaw dropping. Colors look sharp and G-Sync works wonders when gaming. However there are minor issues I think should be addressed before buying. First, there is a FIXABLE G-Sync bug with NVIDIA 10-Series GPUs. The fix is easy and can be found when searching for Lenovo legion Y27q-20 black screen bug. It’s the first result that pops up. Second issue is that there is occasionally a minor high pitched noise when the monitor is plugged but not on. I hardly notice it but I have heard it.

I'm coming from a 4k 60hz tv so this monitor was quite a treat to use. The colors were MUCH brighter, and bolder than my LG 4k tv.. I put both in HDR and this monitor still looked amazing compared to the 4K Lg tv.. HDR made the picture a bit less brighter. There were no burnt or stuck pixels.. no backlight bleed or anything. VERY happy with this monitor. I'm so glad I didnt buy the HP Omen which I was going to buy before I learned about this Lenovo Legion. I THEN learned about a Dell that has a 27" monitor that is almost identical to this monitor in specs and from what I read is the best on the market. Its been sold out and so I bought the Lenovo Legion because it was in stock. The Dell is now in stock and I was tempted to return the Lenovo for the Dell, but theres really no reason too since theres nothing wrong with this Monitor. It says its DisplayPort1.2 but a few owners on reddit and reviews said the DisplayPort on this is 1.4. I just got a HP Omen for Christmas by a family member so I returned it which gave me $450 extra money to spend. So i bought the 34" LG Ultra Wide 160Hz gn850 panel. Once that arrives I'm returning this monitor. Theres nothing wrong with it I just want the larger ultra wide now that I have extra money to burn. If that ultra wide sucks (which it has great reviews so it wont suck) Then I would just want this Lenovo back from the store. I think everyone will be happy with this Lenovo. Only thing that might bother people is there are no speakers oh and the legs on the stand are a bit large.. but if you have a large desk it shouldnt be too much of an issue. Using this monitor to play ARMA3 actually almost made me a bit dizzy at first because the picture was so much better than Ive ever seen that my eyes had to get used to it. The only thing I dont like about the monitor is its Chinese and Dell is American made (somewhat). However Lenovo is a great company and has made some REALLY good laptops in the past. I also bought the Geek Squad 4 year protection plan because well its a monitor and anythign can happen. BB salesman said i can return it with no questions asked and get a brand new one with that support plan. So paying the $100 is worth it to be able to swap the monitor out for a brand new one. If you dont get the Dell get this monitor. Omen I heard has too many problems and all these monitors use the LG panel.. but the actual LG monitor is 144Hz whereas all the other monitors are 160Hz.. So Lenovo and Dell are the two best monitors out there in the 27" range at 160Hz for this price.

I got this monitor because my old monitor broke; and this was the most similar that i could find to my old monitor. This has been a great monitor with some quirks; one of them being if its not in use you can hear a high pitched noise here and there, i still have no clue how to fix it; another problem is if you alt tab and you are changing resolutions when changing windows; your monitor will be black for a while, and another problem is you have the option of full 4k for some reason, but it wont let you select it. but other than that its a great monitor!

Even though I had to bring this monitor back in my hunt for a monitor that did not give me eye strain, this was by far one of the best looking monitors I had ever seen. The menu was easy to navigate through and the picture was easy to dial in then adjust, however with my new found vision issues I was unable to keep the monitor as it hurt my eyes to look at it longer than about 20 minutes. I believe it has to do with the extra amount of blue light in the high color gamut this monitor offers.

    Great 1440p gaming display

Great 1440p gaming display at an incredibly low price. I got this pre Black Friday at significantly less than the Black Friday price. I was concerned the telescoping stand and/or the headset hanger would be cheap, be too stiff, or not stiff enough. Both are well made and have just the right amout of resistance. The height adjustment is so light to the touch you can use your little finger to raise and lower it. It has pass through USB 3 making it convenient to charge my cordless devices without a long cable running to my PC. About the only complaints I have and they are insignificant is the sometimes annoying/distracting white power on light. The other insignificant complaint is my desk has a pull out keyboard drawer and an opening for my legs on the far right side of my desk so if I want my old 1080p display as a 2nd it has to be on the left side where the headset hanger is. Picture an old school desk with the 3 drawers down the left side. I waited until I had the display for a while and I had installed the last piece of my new build a nice GPU. I settled on a Power Color RX 6750 XT. I am very happy with this monitor GPU as the cherry on top

IPS panel, 165hz, G-Sync compatible very nice. Upgraded from a 1080p TN panel G-Sync compatible monitor. Took some getting used to at first out of the box. If you have been starring at a TN panel for years, and IPS panel might look funky because of the increase of color saturation. Give your eyes some time to adjust to the sharpness, and colors. You will be glad you did.

It worked with Nvidia G-sync without me touching anything. It uses the LG Nano ips panel but it costs less than LG's version with a slight refresh rate overclock(165hz over 144hz). I will note a lot of sites say this only has support for DisplayPort 1.2 but that is incorrect. It has 1.4 as confirmed in the monitor software. It also comes with a 3 year warranty through Lenovo versus only a 1 year from LG. If you're looking for a 27" gaming monitor, this is it chief.

This is the one for Xbox series x and ps5. I went through several monitors before this one and they don’t compare the the image quality and vivid color that this monitor has besides the Dell S2721dgf which was a little brighter but the lack of 4K signal support it a killer for the ps5 and for HDR on the xbox series x also it had a lot more backlight bleed this monitor doesn’t have any, the only thing I would change would be having 2 hdmi ports instead of just one, but overall this is the best 27in monitor for next gen console gaming before the hdmi 2.1 ones come out next year.
