Many appreciate its ease of use and ample storage, although some users note that the battery life could be improved. I'm a web, graphic designer, and 3D artist professionally. This thing has done EVERYTHING I've needed and more. It's an amazing laptop as a businessman and has been lag-free and amazing. WELL WORTH IT. I was able to purchase a USB-C to HDMI adapter and I am now running an HDMI cable as well to run 2 external monitors. Targus has made a USB-C to Quad 4K Output device recently this year which I'll be buying once I get my 4K monitors, then this beast can run 4 monitors! I LOVE THIS LAPTOP!

Great Laptop. It is fast and poweeful as advertised. If it has one shortcoming the fans are a little loud and the lacks sufficient USB ports. But great so far.

This computer is a beast compared to my previous laptop. It has some minor flaws, but if it is on sale, definitely consider looking and getting this laptop. Pros: Though I have played some games, it is mostly used for work. I am able to connect 3 extra monitors for a 4-screen work station. HDMI, mini displayport, and surprisingly a type-c to type-c power and connection monitor at the same time with no issues in performance or framerate. It can handle many operations from video editing to photoshop and more at the same time with no issues. I do like how the ports for monitors and ethernet are on the back rather than the sides like most laptops. Makes cable management much easier, leaving only a USB port on each of the sides. Very convenient. Accessing the RAM and harddrive for upgrades is much easier with the model that I got. Only requires removing a few screws and sliding the panel out. Be aware if you are looking at how-tos for upgrading on Youtube. Most may mention removing 12 or so screws and jamming some thin plastic to remove the whole underside. That is an old method with an old model. The model I got is much easier to access the upgrade slots. The screen and framerate is a very nice upgrade. Going from traditional 60hz at a set viewing angle to a 144hz IPS panel for near any viewing angle is amazing. Cons: It is heavy. Something that you will get used to but for the first few days, it seems too heavy compared to previous laptops. With what it contains and going from a 15" to 17" screen, of course it will be heavier. Keyboard and panel around keyboard stains very easily with fingerprints and stains. Seems to stain more easier than other laptops. The number pad is weird, probably my only main complaint. Number keys are thinner than letter keys and the center position is up 2 rows compared to the letters. That means reaching forward just to put your hand at center. The 0 key is only one key width rather than two, making number crunching a bit more tedious, having to either reach with my thumb which feels weird or with my middle finger with can change my center position. There is no enter key for the pinky. You can hit the enter key with your thumb but the overall number keys layout does slow down any excel/spreadsheet work some. Despite these flaws, I thoroughly love this laptop. Fast startup and shutdown, fast work capabilities, fast gaming, easy access to upgrade slots. If it is within your budget, definitely consider at least looking at this laptop.

I was looking for a good laptop to use for personal used but that would excellent for my hobbies such as scrapbooking and embroidery! This laptop offers plenty of speed and storage to both! The only drawback is the keyboard layout is a little different from my old one and work keyboard. The numbers are placed high and I'm having to be conscious to reach for them instead of automatically reaching to my right.

It was time to replace my trusty old ASUS ROG, so I did a lot of shopping around. I decided to purchase the Lenovo Legion because nothing else in the price range packed this kind of power, and reviews were overwhelmingly positive. I am happy to say that I was not disappointed. In fact, the performance of this machine has exceeded my expectations! It's light, powerful, and runs just about every game I've thrown at it at 100+ FPS on high settings. Simply put... If you're looking for a great mid-range gaming laptop, this purchase is a no-brainer.

As another reviewer noted, the case is less than great. I've had it for less than 2 months, and the trackpad is already showing signs of wear. I put in a secondary hard drive, and despite knowing the clips on the panel were fragile, I still ended up breaking fully half of them. In contrast, my last laptop, which I had for 6 years, and which I upgraded drives, rams, replaced fans, etc, also had clips--and I never broke a single one despite taking that laptop apart more times than I can count. It's not a user problem, it's a quality build problem. You of course cannot get a replacement piece, and it is the panel with the serial number, etc. on it, so I will probably have to pay someone to put a plastic panel on for me, which is ridiculous. All that being said, the computer seems to work great and run fairly cool. I rarely hear the fans (unlike my last computer which sounded like it was ready for takeoff all the time). I haven't really stress-tested it yet, but it remains very responsive even when I have multiple programs running at one time. I'm not really a gamer so I can't speak to how it holds up to today's games, but if you're just a "power user" who has no tolerance for slow computer response times, this machine is probably great for you. One other small problem: I always like to have a second power supply on hand; there seems to currently be a lack of supply for this model. I'm sure that problem will go away in the next few months, though.

Please do not try to outsmart Apple. The camera at the bottom of the screen is an awful idea. No one likes it. I might have to return a really great computer just because some designers tried to overdo what great designers have done before. No. Don't do it. I would highly and definitively recommend this laptop is you don't do video conferencing or of in your family this is not supposed to replace the teleconferencing device. It's an excellent laptop , except for that sad design flaw. If you don't have family life or if your work doesn't revolve around meeting remotely 4 hours every day, go for it. The keys have a great feeling the screen is excellent, the case is solidly build, not noisy, not heavy, no overheating, well ventilated, the response is wonderful, you got almost a 100% winner on this laptop . The camera position is just a terrible idea, I'm bummed about, because I might return it. I don't see myself getting used to it if I can pay a couple of hundred bucks more. We shall see. If you still see this comment after Jun 1, is because I kept it.

This laptop is excellent! It’s by far the fastest computer I’ve ever owned. I feel like I got a great deal. I bought a “satisfactory” condition open box unit and I didn’t find a single flaw. It only didn’t have the original box which is absolutely fine with me! I haven’t had any issue with it at all and would recommend it to anybody! It isn’t the most portable but I needed a built in 10-key for some of my work assignments so I had to go with 15”+.

Overall this is a great laptop for the money even if you're not a gamer. One complaint, the battery life thus far seems to be about 2.5hrs and that's on power save settings...was advertised as 5hrs. May be a productuon issue though and I'm reaching out to manufacturer, if faulty it should be covered. No other complaints.

I'm a Lenovo convert -- big fan of ThinkPads. When I was looking for a 17 inch form-factor I felt the T-73 was a bit more than I needed -- although my wife has that model and is very pleased -- so I chose the Legion. My main uses are work (office, data crunching, some graphics) videos, etc. I am not a serious gamer. The PC works great. Only issue is that the AC cord into the power brick easily becomes disconnected. I will get around to replacing the cord or brick under warranty. Not a big deal -- I could live with it. Also appreciated that there was no software bloat except for MacAffee and WINZIP. Lenovo is good about that. Top of the line 4 warranty from Lenovo on the machine was about $180 -- so it must have a very good track record. I don't buy Dell or HP anymore -- and have had ok experiences with Acer and Asus -- I just like Lenovo. The machine pretty much has a commodity configuration- that is mainstream. I'd buy it again.

Keyboard button paint chips off quickly. It lasted about a month before they started chipping, and now at least five keys are half white plastic. The laptop runs great, but it now looks like it's a ten year old laptop, and it's only been one year since I bought it.
