Great picture quality and the slightly larger screen is a bonus. One of the best impulse purchases that I have ever made!

It has a really nice screen and I can read the prompts without any problems. I did notice a few areas that looked digitized and shady in some areas on screen at times, but it went away. I don't know what it is, but it didn't interfere with reading the screen

It is possible some program booting up during initial startup is causing the lines on the screen. Since the lines go away after full startup, it sounds like part of the normal startup process.

The screen is not that glossy type, but more matte which is great if you spend a fair amount of time on your computer. Additionally, the design is awesome, and does not take up a ton of space. Will definitely purchase again if the need would arise.
