First one that I purchased was a dud. Pretty disappointing. Returned (no hassle with best buy) and got another and it works flawless. Upgraded to 32gb (2x16gb) ram as it comes with ONE 12gb stick, which hurts CPU performance as it only gets to run in single channel mode. The other major reason for this laptop in particular is the m.2 expansion slot, which I put a Samsung 990 EVO PLUS 1TB in. Performance is fantastic, I do worry about long term use as the CPU is only a 4 core 8 thread, and "gaming" laptops now usually have 6 or 8 core cpus. I suspect in the future when games take full advantage of modern CPU's this one will show its age. Thats really the only drawback I have tho. Battery life is bad, 2 1/2 hour tops. Don't leave home without your charger. (normal life for gaming laptops tbh) -amazing RTX 4050 -ram upgradable to 32gb (HIGHLY recommend) -extra m.2 slot for future expansion (up to 1TB per drive) -144hz screen is amazing (coming from 60hz) -mid CPU (still faster then my old i7) One issues some have with what appears to be the intel versions of this laptop is motherboard issues. Lenovo apparently fixed this and I'm not even sure ryzen ones have that issue, as 13th gen intel chips had voltage + corrosion issues on their own to begin with.

I’m very happy with the LOQ 15 after a month of use. It delivers strong gaming performance for the price, and the keyboard and display are both solid. The main drawbacks are the so-so battery life and the fact that it only has 12GB (single-channel) RAM by default. This is the best gaming laptop that's not too expensive, everything works amazingly and fast. I've played every FPS and open-world game with it smoothly, just make sure you use medium or low settings since it can overheat over time, and the battery life may run low quickly. It's best to use it while charging. I use it every day for gaming and university work.

The battery life is on the lower end when gaming, but when not gaming it does last a lot longer. The speed and display are amazing!! I was surprised how fast this computer is compared to my old one. The display is a 144 hrtz which is pretty decent. The only thing that i don't like is the track pad. If i disable it'll some how get enabled again. I don't know if its the operating system or the computer. The best thing is the switch between different settings, from gaming to quiet mode. This is Lenovo's settings not anyone else's. 10/10 would recommend!

It functions great. It plays all the games that i want to play. I have 2 complaints… 1 - is that it runs pretty hot. I had to by a cooling mat for laptops that has a built in fan to keep it from getting so hot. The second is that the battery doesn’t last long at all if activity playing games. If you are just surfing the internet or typing someone it probably lasts longer, but it is a gaming laptop. The battery should have a longer charge.

It's a good laptop, runs all the games my kid wants and has a nice foot on the back that lifts it up for airflow into the fans. Dont expect quiet or great battery life it is a gaming laptop after all.

It works well for my needs, i would like better battery life but for the price i think its reasonable. plays games well and i use for light online school work as well. does tend to make a bit of noise when i go into school modules. maybe better for games. i played overwatch on it and it ran well!!!

This thing reasonably runs every game at 60fps or higher. The battery life is not the best but if you need something to take around it isn’t heavy or large. The four core CPU leaves some to be desired but at the price the 4050 frame generation adds a lot more power. Games like oblivion remastered, dying light 2, or the new black ops 7 run perfect once I added 12gb of ram.

Great laptop all in all. Runs surprisingly smoothly with somewhat high quality graphics, more than I had expected originally. Audio from the base speakers is alright, definitely lacks bass, but using headphones is just fine. The only drawback is the low battery life. Maybe an hour tops with demanding games. Just keep it plugged in and it runs like a beast

As a disclaimer I am used to custom built desktops and working in a semi-enterprise environment with higher end laptops. My rating may be weighted against performance grade hardware. Ordered two of these, both performed fine but heat up pretty quickly under high CPU load. While this is few and far between more modern games may make this more apparent. The second device has some issues where anything under 140hz causes some pretty bad screen tearing and ghosted models while playing. While looking into this it appears that it could be an overlap between Nvidia GSync, AMD FreeSync, and built in VSync. However it doesn’t occur on the other device. Reinstalling the drivers lessens the issue but still persisted and we just run everything on high with VSync enabled to ensure it doesn’t occur. Battery life is consistent, allowing gaming for an hour and a half without being plugged in. I never do any other tasks for longer than 10-15 minutes. WiFi around here is spotty around the 5ghz range and on initial boot up the devices took down the houses WiFi. This was resolved automatically with the router changing the channel allocated to us. RAM allows for running LAN servers without problems, if you’re not trying to multitask. Overall if you’re looking for a decent entry level gaming laptop. This is decent and enough to start with. The boxes were pretty banged up from delivery, but both devices function fine otherwise, updates were smooth to install and Lenovo configuration allows for some flexibility with device performance out of the box. For the sale price we got them on, we can’t complain for otherwise non problematic inconsistencies between the devices. Would be 5 stars, but manufacturers should include more Quality Assurance between product lots.

Great Laptop, works amazing for school and any kinda of games I want to play on it, including AAA titles! A great deal as well. The only thing I don't like is the lack of battery life, only an hour or so while not plugged in at 80% brightness

I got this mostly for school but also so I could use to play games on the side. My son has overtook it from me. He has a PC but says he loves my laptop and it runs so smoothly and has great graphics! He will play both at the same time. But I love how fast it runs!

Amazing. Low cost, great GPU, CPU is good, SSD is enough for what I need so far, RAM is a good start and be upgraded to 32gb when needed. I work with video editing, some gaming, and logo designing. Great Laptop for the low cost. LENOVO LOQ is wonderful for gifting us a low-cost gaming laptop for any needs on a budget.

The product was very responsive and did exactly how I expected it to go. GeForce RTX 4050 had about 6 VRAM running and the AMD Ryzen 5 has only 8 cores. The specs are good enough but the performance overall is great with what it has. I love it.

This is a nice laptop, good design, pretty fast to play game, graphic card is enough to play games, but I do have one issue, it won’t wake up after in sleep mode, nothing when I click keyboard or mouse, trying to search some info on internet, if not I probably need to call customer support for help

Excellent offering from Lenovo. Lightweight, decent power (4050 6GB) and a Ryzen processor. RAM is 12GB, which is an odd number, but it can be removed for a more traditional setup OR you can track down another 12GB module for $40. When this goes on sale, totally a steal at under $600.
