The Lenovo LOQ has been. A great laptop for the price. I purchased this laptop in November and it has ran as good as new with daily use. I love the features such as performance mode for gaming and energy efficiency mode for in the classroom or office work. The battery life is not the best but the great performance by far makes up for that and it still does the job. With energy efficiency mode on it works perfect for my college lectures never dying on a full charge. For gaming it has exceeded my expectations greatly. I have smoothly played titles like Grand Theft auto, Indiana Jones, Minecraft (With many Mods), Battlefield 2042 as well as numerous Call of duty titles and other games in my Steam. I would 100% recommend this laptop to a student, a gamer or anyone who wants to do leisure activities on this device. From streaming movies playing games to doing work I have found this laptop has passed my test with flying colors. Great device, Great look and a great purchase overall!

Fantastic for gaming and work. Stays cool underload and has upgradable ram and SSD capability. Only downside is one USB-C. And no integrated graphics so it’s only running on the discrete 3050. So battery life isn’t great. I did get it on sale for $479. Not sure I would pay over $500 for it.

This review will not spout technical details that may or may not make sense, rather I intend on writing a novel from an experience point of view. Over the last decade or two I have bought a lot of "budget" laptops or paid the most my budget could allow. Over time that price point was around $700 with the exception to forking out more than double that for a ROG with Intel 10th Gen & RTX3050 a few years ago, the only real comparison as the most recent purchase. I thought that the ROG was an amazing laptop until ... I bought the Lenovo LOQ. The thing is, we don't know what we don't know. All the reviews in the world doesn't substitute for real hands-on experience of using it daily. Admittedly, my expectations for the LOQ weren't that high given its sell price, but I'd seen enough positive comments on social media that I decided to give the Lenovo a try. I was not let down. The overall weight is just right and its well-balanced. Some laptops' weight favors a side or front/back because of the battery feeling a bit awkward to do with one hand when moving the laptop around. The LOQ also has a full width bumper running side-to-side near the back edge that my fingers tend to use as a fingerhold. Picking the laptop up just feels natural whether storing in a desk drawer or dropping it in a laptop bag - it's as easy as doing it with a 1" binder. Heat? What heat? This LOQ is a terrible space heater! Laptops' compactness means limitations where the processor or CPU is located so you end up with "hot fingers", you know what I'm talking about. That area under the keyboard that gets hot. Gaming really works out computer hardware and a laptop's ability to remove that heat is apparent really fast. The ROG got so hot I just bought a wireless keyboard and mouse. The funny thing is in my mind that was acceptable! Enter the LOQ that I've owned nearly a year. No Mans Sky, WoW, Skyrim, Subnautica ... Let's just say that I forget I am playing on a laptop. The real irony here is my hands get super cold in the winter using this laptop because it does not help warm them up D: That's not all though, I've had laptops make my lap uncomfortably warm, again not an issue with this LOQ. Lenovo is 100% got this figured out. Screen. It's a screen. The display is clear and bright and has somewhat of a matte finish, so you don't get that harsh glare from office lighting. Number pad, if you know you know, but for those of you that don't, this is a must have that doesn't compromise on using the rest of the keyboard comfortably. As rare as it is for me to using a number pad, nothing is more natural when using the calculator. 'Nuf said. Trackpad, is centered on the spacebar. Any other configuration is just nonsensical! Trackpads centered on the bezel is nothing but problems from your right palm accidentally resting, brushing across the top of a trackpad and causing the mouse cursor to move unexpectedly. Most of the time it's a nuisance, other times can wreak havoc. The Lenovo LOQ also has a lot of built-in storage. For your average user, there's ample room for your pictures and movies. At the end of the day, whether you use this mostly for gaming and the occasional office work, I really feel you'd like this laptop. It may have a budget cost, but does not lack in performance.

I love this laptop! It's fast, it plays any game I want, and it the price was right! It is a bit heavy, but with the performance it provides for the price, this is the sacrifice you make. The battery life is also not great, but again, you give up some stuff for the performance and the price. Make sure to keep it plugged in when you can.

Nicely equipped laptop which should be more than enough for most users. Be aware that there is no integrated graphics, so its always using the nVidia RTX graphics, which will consume more battery than integrated would. If you need long term battery power (4+ hours) then I’d personally look elsewhere for something that dynamically uses integrated graphics when not gaming. If you need only 2-4 hours on battery power, want good performance, and the ability to upgrade ram, hard drive, and battery then this is a no brainer if you catch it on sale. I got it for $650.

This is the first gaming laptop i've used in years and i'm impressed with how far they have come. It's very light, the one i had many years ago was bulky and heavier. It was over $1000! The laptop handles 1080p gaming with ease, I've seen it run modern games with little issue. The keyboard is comfortable to type on and offers a satisfying tactile feedback. I also like that it doesn't look like a gaming laptop for those that want to keep their gamer life on the low when using this in public. Your bosses or your crush will never know when you are gaming in the cubicle! For under $800, this laptop offers a solid gaming experience without breaking the bank.

I really like this laptop. It feels really nice and runs games super well. It's much larger and heavier than I'm used to for a laptop but with it being a gaming laptop that's to be expected. The weight makes it feel less portable to me, which in my view is a major point of a laptop. But I think the heaviness is worth the tradeoff for it being able to run games super smoothly when I don't have a PC.

Have to say, even with the age of the system, once you upgrade the ram it is a beast, I run 3 screens with it and can play wow and a couple other games high, I do tell the card to cap at 60fps, it's not like I care about 4k at whatever fps so for me it help the system stay cooler and 60 fps is really all you need especially steady. Tldr I run 3 screens, installed max ram and my games look great and love this laptop.

The laptop was for my girlfriend at the time. We played games together and she was never able to play them smoothly so I saved up and got her this which was a very affordable and effective machine. It would let us game and play league non stop. And we still do.

A little bit heavy but let me tell you, the processor is amazing in this thing. The speed and the quality graphics are hands down some of the best I've ever seen.

Good laptop, the design is good and very fast maybe the battery is not the best

Great for on the go gaming. Works decently well for most games. Primarily used it to maintain my daily MMO logins for a while. Dont expect to feel like you're playing on a PC level performance but it is very good for what it does. And it is affordable for someone not trying to full-send a whole new rig.

Laptop is really nice to use. It is fast, has a nice display, and a quiet keyboard. All of the ports on it work great and I can even hook it up to my monitor to use at home. Also, has room where you can install an extra SSD inside of it for more memory.

This laptop is clean, sleek, and a nice machine. The NVIDIA card coupled with the Ryzen 5 processor and plenty of RAM keeps the computer running at the speeds we need (this machine is used primarily for livestreaming). It was definitely worth the price, and we would buy it again.

I've had this for just over a year now and I have no complaints. It's great for games and it has a great keyboard as well. Definitely worth the price.

Excellent laptop for the money! Graphics and processor speed are good. Sound is average. I don't do a lot of computer gaming having both Xbox and PS5 consoles. I particularly like the rj45 port!

I love this laptop. Very fast and effective and I dove into the gaming world with this high quality laptop. Playing new games and trying out various programs of interest. It is definitely worth the buy.

WulffDen recommended this laptop when it was $480, and at that price, I highly recommend this unit. It does the job and will get just about anyone except high end gamers by just fine. The monitor does have a bit of ghosting, and it's not SUPER fast, but it plays games, even something like Baldur's Gate 3, and it's well enough designed for the price. At $800, you should be looking for deals on a 4060 scale GPU at least, but if it swings under $500 again, you could do far, far worse. Do note that this is not an all day battery life unit - it runs right off the GPU and will drain fairly quickly.
