This laptop is a steal when it's under a grand. I really don't have anything bad to say about it. While not excellent, the speakers are not as bad as some people have said.

Great laptop. Beautiful screen, could be a bit more brighter outside, but good enough. I've purged Windows day 1 and installed PopOS. Everything worked flawlesly.

i tried 2 different laptops before this one. Its pretty good and runs well, plus the audio and visuals are great. I have sensory issues so it's really nice that i can make the brightness as low as i need, because the previous laptops (Inspiron 16; i bought one that was defective then traded it for another defective one) had both audio and screen brightness issues (was too bright, and audio kept crackling and glitching). I'm also happy with the price as it was cheaper than my last laptops AND had more storage. also it was packaged sooooo nicely, it had its own box and everything was wrapped. it felt so much better and i could tell more care was put into the product compared the the Inspiron which had bad and careless packaging. kinda funny that i have lenovo earbuds and headphones, i guess i'm a fan lol

if you are looking for a laptop for school/work that is light and slim but can also handle gaming- this is the laptop for you. i was looking for a more portable option after my old gaming pc broke, but i didn't want a chunky gaming laptop with neon LED lights and a 2 hour battery life. i wanted a laptop for school that could also handle gaming. this laptop is exactly that- i've run lots of different games on it, and it handles them fine. (does get hot and breathe kind of hard though, but gameplay is smooth!) and at the same time, it's fast, perfect for school work, light and slim, has a long battery life, and charges to 100% in like thirty minutes. it's got touchscreen, face ID, it feels great to type on, its perfect. i got it on sale for $899 and it was a steal. if you can try to get it on sale, i would, but even full-price i think it's a great laptop. someone else mentioned this in another review, but be sure to install the "game ready" nvidia driver once you get the laptop so it will run games smoother. just keep in mind this is NOT a gaming laptop. its fans are loud and it does heat up sometimes. it won't give you the best gaming experience compared to other gaming laptops on the market. but if you're looking for a more portable, student-friendly option- this is a really nice, well-rounded laptop that can also handle games. i reccomend.

The chassis was flexible compared to a macbook but felt good enough for the price. I was excited about every aspect of the performance and loved it for the duration it worked. However, the first one i procured stopped turning on after three days, while the second one gave a BSOD after two weeks. I returned it and am thankful for the valuable lesson learned - never cheap out

This is a rarer breed of laptop that tries to do as many things as possible well, or good enough. You'll find thinner laptops, laptops with higher pixel count or refresh rate on their screens, or gaming laptops with better graphics, but you'll be hard pressed to find something that can tick as many boxes as this can. It winds up being "good enough" in plenty of categories: - Laptop is lightweight enough and easily portable - Display is sharp and color-accurate that gets bright enough for most conditions and is smoother than your typical 60 Hz panel - Good performance for the size and price of this machine (even if it's processor is essentially a Ryzen 6800HS), and while under load it can get warm and the fans can get decently loud, in lighter tasks the device stays mostly cool and quiet, with the fans only occasionally coming on a low hum (typically while watching video) -Chassis has a great build quality, with very little deck flex, along with a good keyboard and trackpad, and good, front-facing speakers (even better with an EQ adjustment) - Pretty good battery life, particularly when you put it in proper settings to conserve power (has 3 different power settings to choose from), included USB-C charger is 140 watts, so it provides plenty of power, and can charge the device VERY quickly - RTX 3050 isn't going to blow other gaming laptops out of the water, but if you want a laptop that can also game (rather than a "gaming laptop") and don't need everything to be on the highest settings, you should be able to play whatever you want (just download the gaming NVIDIA drivers to replace the studio drivers that come preinstalled) -Other niceties like HDMI out, Windows Hello in the 1080p webcam, and USB4 -Going to upgrade the storage soon, and it should be easy to get into the laptop to do so (only 6 Torx screws to remove) Things I wish were better: -Bloatware blows, uninstall McAfee at the very least -Thin and light design does get warm and loud under load, such as gaming, though I still think the fans are better than some other gaming laptops I've used (plus you could look into disabling the CPU boost) -Some of Lenovo's trackpad gestures are better off disabled (like sliding along the left side of the trackpad to decrease the brightness of your screen) -No microSD or SD card reader, which is strange since this seems to be a "creator" laptop -Screen is worse than the older model (Slim Pro 7 X) that this replaces, though the lower resolution probably helps the battery life in this model On the whole, I think it's a pretty good package all considered, especially if you can get it on sale for $900 or less (mine was an open-box for $664, that was a win). If you don't need a dedicated GPU, there are other laptops that would probably suit you better, but if you do video-intensive work and want a smaller, lighter machine, or you want a laptop that can also game on the side, this is definitely worth your consideration.

With its AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 graphics, and generous 16GB of memory, this laptop is built to handle demanding tasks and deliver smooth performance. One of the standout features of this laptop is its 14-inch 2.5K touch-screen display. Storage-wise, the 512GB SSD provides ample space for storing your files, documents, and multimedia content. However, if you require additional storage, it would have been nice to have the option to expand or upgrade the storage capacity. On the connectivity front, the laptop offers a good selection of ports, including USB Type-A, USB Type-C, HDMI, and a headphone/microphone combo jack. This allows you to connect various peripherals and external devices effortlessly. The laptop's keyboard provides a comfortable typing experience with decent key travel and feedback. With moderate usage, you can expect to get around 7-8 hours of battery life, which is respectable for a laptop of this caliber. Overall, the Lenovo Slim Pro 7 14" 90Hz 2.5K Touch-Screen Laptop impresses with its powerful hardware, stunning display, and sleek design. It offers a great balance between performance and portability, making it suitable for professionals, content creators, and casual gamers alike.
