Excellent performance and value for the price
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent productivity machine for the money. Hard to find a work aesthetic, portable powerhouse like this for the money. I use the machine for software development, ML & Python as well as managing day to day business productivity tasks. I really don't like the bloatware that came with the PC but its a one time process to remove. I found there to be compromises for the price such as battery life I found to be more than adequate, webcam camera is passable, screen brightness and speakers are ok as well. Ram is soldered, oh well. But the build quality is excellent, the screen resolutions is crisp, the performance top and the fact that it came with a GPU is astonishing. All the port that I require are there. The SSD is gen 4 speeds is stupid fast plus there's an additional empty ssd slot available. Honestly can't go wrong here, the shortcomings are acceptable for the price and for what you're receiving. The 2024 model has is over $1k and doesn't come with the GPU anymore, instead it has the new Intel Arc GPU which don't come close to the 3050 that comes with this model. Just go for it.

A no brainer while it's on sale..
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you were able to grab this unit on sale, it's a no brainer.. It's fast, fluid, efficient overall. The screen is vibrant, touch, and fluid at 90hz. It gets amazing battery life, over 9 hours of office/web browsing/youtube use. The GTX 3050 may be long in the tooth but this is the newer 6gb version with the core count of a 3050ti and it shows, it's a faster than usual 3050. The fans are even tolerable to what i'd consider quiet even under max load while gaming. The keyboard deck always remains cool to the touch under load - this is one of my favorite Lenovo machines overall.

Best windows laptop I've ever bought.
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is probably the best windows laptop I've ever owned. The design is very sleek and clean and not "gamerfied" despite being capable of gaming. It has a 16:10 resolution at 90hz which is incredible for me. Super clear display at 2560:1600. It has a modest GPU but it works for most games besides cutting edge games. Keys feel good, touch screen is nice, and the best part is the price when on sale. Very few laptops compete. I only wish it had thunderbolt ports, and the ram isn't upgradeable (slim form factor obviously), but you can upgrade the drive easily. For the price though, I really can't complain much.

Great!!!
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm thrilled with my Lenovo Slim Pro 7 purchase! The 2.5K touch-screen with a 90Hz refresh rate is a joy to use, offering sharp and vibrant visuals. It's powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 with an NVIDIA RTX 3050, making it a beast for both work and gaming, handling everything I throw at it with ease. Its sleek design, combined with solid battery life, makes it perfect for on-the-go use. With 16GB RAM and a 512GB SSD, performance and storage are top-notch. Highly recommend for its performance, portability, and build quality!

Great value
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an incredible laptop. The screen is great, speakers are good, build quality is excellent, and its powerful enough to do light gaming. To top it off, doing every day tasks that aren’t super power intensive you can expect a minimum of 9 hours battery life. Personally, the only down side, is that i can’t get this laptop with 32gb of RAM.

Great Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned several laptops and I think this is one of the best by far. The keyboard is comfortable with responsive buttons. The backlight on the keyboard comes on when you need it and off when you aren't using it. The screen is crystal clear and the dimness is easily adjustable. Love the touchscreen (reason I steered away from a mac) It doesn't get hot or seem like it's working too hard. I can have several tabs open and there's no lag going from one to the next and back again. Setup was a breeze and Lenovo registered my laptop for me when I made an account. I would definitely recommend this laptop.

A Macbook for those who prefer/need Windows
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This must be the greatest Laptop out there (value-wise) for professionals. It is lightweight, has all modern I/O ports, a glossy, sharp 90hz screen, which is perfect at 14.5 inches. The processor is more than adequate and it even has a solid graphics card for gaming as opposed to the internal graphics sold on most laptops that can't handle many games. The face unlock works really well and the keyboard has a bit of depth making presses feel noticeable. Speakers are well placed and it's overall seamless and a massive upgrade from my previous Lenovo. Almost forgot, no overheating fans while using moderately! Finally! I snagged it while on sale, and no wonder it lasted so shortly at the $900 price but even now it is a well thought out piece that won't leave you disappointed. In further advice, I would say that in terms of Desktops the brand doesn't matter as much as Laptops do. Please do yourself a favor and only consider Lenovo. The other brands just aren't as well integrated and there is always a minor (but constantly annoying!) issue with the hardware. Lenovo does laptops right (well-integrating the hardware and software), that has been my experience.

Great battery life comparted to AMD U version CPU
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was deciding between this computer and one with an AMD Ryzen 7 7730U. The reviewers always added from 3-4 hours for the U-based version in battery tests. I got both and did my own for how I'll use this. Mostly office-type stuff and the web. That said, still wanted a more powerful cpu this has with the graphics card for video and photo editing. Turns out on power saving config this laptop for my needs lasted as long as the U version. So editing vids and photos uses more battery but I'll proably be at a desk with a monitor and power supply so no issues there. Best of both worlds. Also a great machine but it does weight 3.5 pounds not the 3.3 BB has on this site. It's all good. the power supply by the way is a bit big but charges with 140 watts so crasy fast. I use a 65 watt one for travel that works ok too. the other laptop had a OLED screen which side by side looked better but this one is still great so no worries on that. Plus the U cpu's so far don't have USB 4.0 so without that and now Thunderbolt AMD is limited to what can be connected with only low speed things.

Amazing for College Engineering Students
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a laptop for college that could handle coding, physics simulations, and multitasking and this was a perfect option. It's quite compact and light which is perfect when you have to walk around campus. The 16gb of ram along with the processor and graphics card can handle pretty much anything I throw at it. Also, the screen and refresh rate makes it very pretty to look at. The battery life is relatively good, I get around 8-10 hours if im scrolling through the internet, watching youtube, or doing homework but it drops down to less than 5 hours if i'm playing games or doing something more computationally more intensive. It does get quite hot if you're doing something intensive, otherwise it stays quite cool and silent. Overall, if you're an engineering student and need something that's pretty to look at, can handle anything, and is transportation friendly, this is a great option especially if you get it under 1000 dollars

Great laptop
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The laptop is excellent. I do miss my old laptop. This one replaced. However, they no longer sell that version. It does act weird when it needs an update; it will turn off or freeze. Once you update, you are fine. It is fast, and the screen is bright and wonderful. I enjoy the keyboard on this one and how it sounds when you are typing. I do miss the two-in-one functionality of my last laptop as well. I was disspointed when i found out a pen will not work with this laptop. It handles my schoolwork with a breeze. I find myself pulling it out more often, as it is smaller than my last and much more portable. I have not had an issue with it getting hot. I have been on it for about 5 hours, and it is okay. The battery life is nice, and it charges quickly. The sound is excellent; I have not had to connect my buds yet. It took a while to update when you first set it up; that could be due to me transferring everything from my last laptop. Overall, it is an outstanding laptop, and I greatly enjoy it. It looks great as well and is very portable and lightweight. I can not speak for gaming as I have not played any games on it yet. Setting up and transferring the setup from my last computer was easy, except for the amount of time it took for all of the updates to go through. The backlight for the keyboard is also bright, and you can see all the keys. The start-up is a little slower than I am used to, but not so much. It's aggravating; it's just something I notice.

Near Mac Build Quality
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a Mac user but needed a Windows PC to run software for work. I'm very happy with the build and performance of this device. Pros: - Stay cool and quiet - Great performance for the price - Great touch screen - Solid build & materials Cons: - The keyboard and trackpad don't have the same premium feel that I'm used to on my Mac. - WHY IS THE POWER BUTTON ON THE SIDE??? I was able to disable the button while the computer is on in "control panel" but this is just poor design. The first week I had this before knowing I could disable the button I put the computer to sleep to many time to count. I'm relatively new to windows laptops but this ticks enough of the boxes for me to really enjoy this product. At under $1k when I purchased it I definitely recommend it.

Good tool for under 600$
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased the Lenovo Slim Pro 7 (open box, excellent condition), and I am extremely satisfied with this laptop. It comes packed with powerful specs, including the AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050, which handle everything from intensive multitasking to gaming and graphic work without a hitch. The 16GB memory and 512GB SSD ensure smooth performance and quick load times. The 14" 2.5K touch-screen with a 90Hz refresh rate is stunning—colors are vibrant, and the display is sharp, making it perfect for both work and entertainment. The build quality is solid, and the Storm Grey finish gives it a sleek, premium look. Despite being an open-box item, it feels brand new with no noticeable wear or issues. It’s lightweight and portable, perfect for on-the-go use. Overall, I’m incredibly happy with this purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-performance, versatile laptop!

Fantastic Product for the price
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a fantastic computer for the price. But only if you follow certain steps. 1. Charge fully before first use. 2. After initial set up, do all windows updates. At this point your computer might run warm and fans may run continuously. That was my case. 3. Go to lenovo's website and allow it to scan your computer. At this stage it might tell you that all drivers are up to date. Choose to install drivers manually and install all offered drivers except the wifi/Bluetooth/modem drivers (unless you have a problem with those). 4. You can uninstall some of the bloatwares that came with the computer if you want to, but be careful what you are uninstalling. These steps will take some time. Be patient and keep it pluged in. After all drivers are installed properly, your computer will be much cooler, quieter, and more power efficient. Battery lasts about 7 hours with light office work, web browsing, YouTube, etc. Which is the norm for this type of computer. For gaming, don't expect to play AAA games with high graphic requirements. This is not a specific gaming machine, but can handle some games decently. The keyboard is top of the line. The display is incredibly beautiful. It's not the brightest display but if you put it at 85% brightness, you will be happy. Forget about outdoor use. Colors and texts are incredibly sharp and the display panel is of high quality. All ports are functioning properly and put together very nicely. This machine is very thin and lighter than many competitors. It seems very high quality (almost like a macbook). Hope you find this review helpful.

Lovely Laptop but...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.great laptop for the price I got for on sale! I got this bad boy for $899.99 and I think it was pretty worth it! although keep this in mind, when you turn off the keyboard lights, it will turn back on after turning the laptop back on again. also, I got this on June 10th and it's July 7th now as of writing this, I tried to download a gif off of Pinterest, it didn't download at first so I tried pushing the button a few more times, still didn't download but once it did and while I was scrolling on Pinterest, it froze for a minute before blue screening, I couldn't manage to get a picture of it but I did draw what it looked like. man I never seen a blue screen like this before. if this keeps happening, I may have to get it fixed or replaced. other than that, it a nice laptop but I probably would only say it's worth it if it's on sale.

Great value in a small package + long battery life
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My last laptop was a 2020 Legion 7i Pro - I absolutely adored that laptop - it was fast, elegant, maybe a bit too flashy with it's crazy LED scheme but I was more than happy to forgive it because of the outright blazing performance it offered. Fast forward to 2023 and I need to upgrade but am looking for much longer battery life this time around because I travel a lot. I was not expecting to like this new Lenovo - Slim Pro 7 so much - it is fast in all the important areas and can even hold it's own with modern games - but the most amazing thing is how long the battery lasts....I use it for several hours per day not plugged in for office work, media work, videos, tutorials, etc and I never worry about plugging in.....I'm just amazed at the build quality, performance and battery life of this laptop. Oh, and the screen is so much more viewable in bright daylight conditions than my old Legion....an added and unexpected bonus.

Great performance for minor sacrifices
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far I've had a great experience with this laptop. I've had couple of odd event so far within the first . One time the mousepad was unresponsive after waking it up from sleep; closing the laptop and reopening resolved the issue. Another time (probably a software issue) when playing an older PC game from Steam, the screen went black and I had to hard restart. Besides those events - I've enjoyed the serious upgrade from my 10 year old Lenovo Thinkpad T430. Lightening fast compared to that old brick. As other's have commented the ventilation isn't seem the best for gaming use and it gets quite hot on your lap; I'm using a Targus fan cooled cooling mat when I play game; nothing too intensive, just the old Witcher games on Steam. I wish it had a mechanical webcam cover but its a small sacrifice for the deal I got on this PC, on sale for $850 I couldn't turn down the specs/$. Physical build quality is nice, and the profile is sleek and it is lightweight; which was great for me because when I travel I'll always need to bring my work PC with me too. At first, I was a little concerned with the webcam "bump" at the top of the display but it doesn't protrude as much as I would have thought when closed and don't expect it to be a problem.

Do it All
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop occupies a very interesting spot in the market - not only is it a competent machine for both productivity AND gaming, but it manages to be thin, light, and have good battery life. The CPU is very fast and energy efficient and can handle truly back-breaking workloads. The RTX 3050's presence is both surprising and welcome, as it really begs the question of "where did they put it?" in this slim chassis. The screen is excellent in terms of color reproduction and clarity but also walks a nice middle-ground in terms of smoothness of motion and efficiency with its unusual 90Hz refresh rate. Build quality is solid overall and the laptop does not feel in any way cheap, despite the low cost for the hardware it's packing. This model may very well represent the ideal of the upper-midrange going forward.

||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Solid Laptop. The AMD Ryzen 7 processor is very quick, and runs pretty cool. The fan noise is minimal unless doing heavy tasks. This laptop is very thin and light for the performance you get. The screen colors look good but it could be brighter. The keyboard has good travel, well spaced, and a nice click. The overall build quality is great with the aluminum chassis, and windows hello functions well. I would recommend this laptop!
