I like this a lot. it had one negative that i was disappointed in. It was almost a 5 star... actually a 10 star! lol. I explain at the end. I use it as an alarm clock; to control my bedroom lights; to play my spotify music; to ask it questions about weather etc.. Routines are the best... I set up a routine where if you say "hey google.. good morning"; it will read the time out loud; tell me current temperature; give me a run down of todays and tomorrow forecast, commute traffic, and then it will say "ok now get up danny, you are the best, everyone loves you, have a wonderful day". lol. that part i set it to say just as a joke but hey. lol the negative of this google assistant clock is that it will not allow anyone to make an audio call to it from another google mini. so then i had to put a regular google mini in my room also just to be able to utilize all of the smart home features that i wanted. I saw complaints about the sound quality, but I think the sound quality & volume is great for a bedroom or kitchen etc. Probably a living room also but i haven't tried it there. Theres no base - maybe that's what people complain about. but the google minis don't have base either. The quality is pretty good though. very clear without any hiss or treble distortion. so basically my only disappointment is that If you use this in one room (instead of a google mini), and you also want to be able to make audio calls to it from another room, then you will have to put this AND a google mini in your room. It would have been much better to use this in the one room without a google mini (since this does everything the google mini does EXCEPT accept audio calls from other google minis. )

Try to get these on sale. The only reason anyone should pay the full $80 on these is because they missed all the sales and can't wait to get one. I snagged these for $40 on black Friday, but I'm going to get one as a gift for Christmas for $50. They are worth the price. It's surprisingly small, yet loud. There's a USB-A port on the back, so in exchange for a wall plug, you can still charge your phone or anything else that can be charged via USB. The screen is vibrant and touch enabled. There's also no camera; that's a good or bad thing depending on what you want. The downsides are that this assistant speaker is meant for the bedroom. The speaker, although loud, doesn't pack a punch. It doesn't sound bad at all; in fact it sounds better than the google home/nest mini, and it's not muddy like the echo dot 3rd gen. But the echo dot 3rd gen has a fuller sound. The screen is small and can only be used to tell time; don't expect to be watching videos on this thing. On the bright side, the clockfaces are customizable, but it's not a wide variety of customization. Despite all those downsides, the thing that makes it a buy for me is google assistant. There's an improvement in sound compared to the google home/nest mini, it's as small as the google home/nest mini, and it functions just as well as the google home/nest mini. Obviously if you don't need the clock functionality, then you can get the google home/nest mini

After our Insignia Smart Speaker (smart speaker with a clock built in) died, we needed a new dual alarm clock. The new Lenovo Smart Alarm Clock seemed to fit the bill perfectly. With a very small footprint, small touchscreen display, Google Assistant, and NO CAMERA, it seemed like the perfect choice. And in practice, it seems to mostly fill the bill, with only a couple of gotcha's. We use an alarm clock for (wait for it...) alarms, and since we get up at different times, we need two alarms. Using Google Assistant, we can set multiple alarms and just enable the ones we need for the next morning, no resetting the time each day. The display is large enough to be seen across the room without glasses, but still small enough to be unobtrusive. And having Google Assistant built in lets us control devices around the house from the bedroom (More than once had to reset the thermostat or turn the lights off). The setup screen is easily navigated and intuitive; however you will need the Google Home app for initial setup. Link to wifi, choose your clock face, and you're off. Unfortunately, there are some controls that are unique to the clock and some that are unique to the Home app, so you have to kind of go back and forth. The speaker is ok, certainly good enough for the bedroom and better than most clock radios I've had. There are some gotcha's that may get worked out as the software is updated. There are no separate alarm snooze/alarm off buttons; you can set the clock so that whacking the top will either turn the alarm off or snooze. Otherwise you have to yell at it. The night mode/dimming doesn't dim far enough on all the display faces and it may be too bright for some folks. And finally, while it doesn't stream videos from Youtube, it would be nice if it was able to stream videos from the Arlo cameras we have around the house. It does claim to work with Nest, but doesn't seem to work with other cameras. All in all, we're happy with it as a replacement for the old clock, but it would be nice if it were a bit more capable.

Delivers time in one of several formats you choose, including beautiful scenery. Dims when the room gets darker, releases background photo and just shows time when all the lights are off. Of course, you can ask it anything and it delivers ! Fits almost anywhere. Takes the place of traditional alarm clocks... just ask google to set an alarm for a particular time and it wakes you up. Also handy for "power naps" as you can tell it to wake you up in 40 minutes or whatever. Of course, you can choose music to listen to, or get the morning news. Don't forget it has to have a WiFi network in your home to connect to. Wew've purchased two for different locations.

This is my first google assistant device, besides my phone. set up was easy.. I basically use it for an alarm.. and weather so I can sort of figure out what to wear for the day. Once in awhile there is a glitch.. but I feel it is my wifi more than the unit itself. Got a decent price on it..

The Lenovo Smart Clock with Google Assistant is perfect for those that just want a clock with a few amenities. That being said, I don't know if $79 for this product is worth it. Being that there is no camera and videos can't be shown (other than your Nest cam feeds), I think $49 would have been a better price. That aside, the functionality and features of the smart clock are good. Compared to the larger Lenovo Smart Displays, you can really tell what time it is on this little unit. The alarms are also good, so good that it might also wake your neighbors! If you just want a clock that can answer your questions and not make you worry about privacy in the bedroom issues, this product might be for you.

We purchased this for our daughters room and couldn’t be happier. Great sound from a small speaker, perfect google assistant integration and a fun colorful clock. The changing colors feature for the clock makes this a fun addition to our daughters room.

This device comes in the format of a clock/speaker. If you are using it for a bedroom clock, it is perfect. its gets dark enough when the the lights go out that you can see it, but it doesnt bother you with brightness. The google assistant functionality is great. It responds quickly to voice commands and never falters. If you want a more advanced device to watch videos, or make video calls, this will not work for you. For what the device is, its an A+. Compared with other devices in its price range, I think its on the high side. You can spend another 20 bucks and get all the video functionality. I bought one, use it every day and love it. There are many choices however , and some other choices may give you more bang for your buck.

If you buy this product for what it is, a smart clock not a smart speaker, then you'll be pleased. Set up is easy through the Google Home app, and the Google Assistant works just as well as on my other Google Homes. Set alarms by voice or by touchscreen, which is a nice feature if you don't want to disturb your sleeping spouse. You can also use the touchscreen to access all set alarms and simply toggle them off or delete if not longer needed. You can choose from several different homescreens, but I prefer the time and weather, so I can see the temperature and conditions at a glance. The speaker isn't great, but then again, this is an alarm clock, not a smart speaker. The clock is also small and blends in well on my nightstand. Overall, very happy with my purchase, especially since I bought it on sale.

Really do like my Lenovo Smart Clock with Google Assistant. Easy to see at night but not to bright. Easy to set alarm with "Hey Google" and then your request. Can use it to make phone calls too. One concern is that there is no battery backup and if it loses connection to router, I had to set it up all over again using phone app. Would recommend, just know if there is a power outage, it's not going to work.

I previously had an Insignia smart clock, and it was utterly horrible (very frequently didn't sound the alarm, and would tell me the alarm was currently going off even though it wasn't audible, etc.). This one is pretty close to perfect. Setting alarms, getting your alerts, asking Google for help, is very intuitive and easy. It automatically goes very dim in dark rooms and brightens right up when the lights are turned on. It allows you to simply tap it to "snooze", as well as provides an on-screen button to do so. Unlike the Insignia that this replaced, you can cancel the snooze (it displays a countdown timer at the bottom, and you simply touch it to cancel). This also has actual physical buttons for the volume control, which is great.

Bought this for my daughters bedroom as her alarm clock and radio. Super easy to connect to Google huh. You can also tell the main google hub to play different music or alarm to this device. Pricey but nice.

Purchased this smart clock while it was on sale and have not been disappointed. This device doesn't come with a camera and has a manual microphone-mute switch, so this is a decent choice if you're just a little bit wary about having a smart device in your room. Setup and integration with Google Home was easy, and I've really enjoyed how easy it's been to set an alarm, play a few tunes through Spotify and check the weather. For the price I paid for it, that's all I really needed from it. An easy choice if the price is right for you and all you're looking for is a solid smart clock without any of the video features found on something like an Alexa Show (or whatever they're calling those these days).

It's stylish, the size is nice. The display is easy to read but does get difficult to see in bright light. You can turn down the brightness pretty low for night time, but the auto adjust is not real great so I don't use it. It does seem that the Assistant is a bit more subdued than the regular Google Home. There is a switch that you can turn off the mic. The controls allow a fair bit of user preferences, stuff that can be displayed like the weather, clock fonts and colors, but not over whelming choices. The alarms set like all other Android alarms, I would like if alarms could be set by calendar dates, that would be a nice function.

I like the features on this little clock. Has alarm, music and USB port. Nice update for an old alarm clock that wasn't a "smart clock" Fits nicely on nightstand, not too big.

I'm really enjoying this little bedside smart alarm clock. It's got the features that I want for a device that sits by my bed, but if you want more features, such as playing YouTube videos or making video calls, then you would want something like the Google Nest Hub or the Lenovo Smart Display. The speaker sounds about as loud as a Google Home Mini, which is fine for a bedroom or dorm room. You can listen to music from Google Play Music, YouTube, or Spotify. You can listen to your podcasts and get the latest news pulled from various different providers. You can get the weather along with a card to visually show you the current as well as upcoming weather. Messages can be broadcast to and from this device to/from other Google Assistant powered speakers on your network. You can also speak commands to control your smart home devices from the clock. Of course you can also set alarms along with a good morning routine if you choose. I got the Lenovo Smart Clock to replace a home built project using a Raspberry Pi with display using PiClock and the Google Assistant SDK library when the screen died, and I will say that the Lenovo Smart Clock is less expensive than building your own, and it provides a bit more functionality. So, I'm pleased!

We purchased these for our boys (11 & 10) they both love them. Not only is it a clock, it plays music, has google assistants, And it is easy to use!

This smart clock rocks, plays tunes, streams doorbell video, and most importantly, helps me wake up on time. Easy to set up and get going.

The Lenovo Smart Clock is the perfect size for a nightstand in the bedroom. It is easily visible from across the room. It's extremely easy to program. The downsides are that the volume can't be fine tuned. There is two much of a variance between say a 6 and a 7, where 6 is not loud enough and 7 is too loud. Also, when using a radio station as an alarm, the radio shuts off after 10 minutes, which I guess is typical for an ordinary alarm, but I like to listen to the radio as I lay in bed before I get up.

I was pleasantly surprised at how well this clock works, and how easy it was to set up. The display changes brightness according to the brightness in the room. At night the whole display is black except the white numbers, which are really dim so it is easy to see but doesn't light up the room or keep you awake. I love the google assistant integration too, I think I like it better than alexa. The alarms are easy to setup and there are quite a few options of alarm tones to choose from.
