It offers full Google Home functionality, several display options for the clock face, automatic dimming of the display, and a USB port on the back (which I use for charging my phone). Very happy with this device.

I love the size, the speaker volume is awesome, the device can hear me from 15/20 feet away just fine, and it fulfills its basic use with waking me up in the morning and playing my latest podcasts, music, news and events. The touchscreen is really good by the way, I've never had a problem with wireless connectivity, and overall I'd recommend it to anyone.

Can be "buggy"

The alarm, which is supposed to be soft at first and then get louder, does not work correctly on one unit. It will let out a 2 second loud noise at first and then continue as it should have to begin with. Did a factory reset a couple of different times but it did not change what the clock is doing. I hope that other 2 don't start doing the same thing.

In the meantime it appears that if you select the "beautiful mind" alarm and set the default alarm volume to between 4 and 6 that this issue will not present.

I would say that this smart clock is "smarter" than the echo dot, but still limited versus other similar devices. I'm slightly disappointed that it's not Youtube video compatible - but you can link your music with your handheld android device.

While you cannot play videos from the Smart Clock you can control and cast videos to other cast enabled tv's / devices you may have in your home. It will display video feed from Nest Security Cameras, and can display your favorite photos as a photo frame slideshow with Google Photos. It's crisp 4" screen is really meant to be a smart clock with the ability to display music, weather, news, photos, and camera feeds. The larger sized Lenovo Smart Display 8" has the ability to watch your favorite movies, shows, YouTube videos, and much more!

Wi-Fi Disconnects Constantly

However, we have been having issues with Wi-Fi constantly disconnecting and not reconnecting on its own. We would have to forget the network and sign in again. This is pretty annoying to wake up to in the morning.

Posted .We are sorry to hear that you are having WiFi connectivity issues with your Lenovo - Smart Clock with Google Assistant. Try resetting your Smart Clock back to original settings by: 1. With the device powered on, press down both the volume+ / volume- button for 10 seconds. 2. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your device. During the setup process, you will once again find available WiFi networks, select and connect. You will need to enter your WiFi router's password again. This should correct any WiFi connection issues. If it does not, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support for Smart Devices at: 866-426-0911.
