Too bright and too dim

Then there are some things that make no sense. First, the no sense things: nearly every smart phone and tablet have a sense near the screen so that it can automatically adjust the brightness as the ambient brightness changes. Not this clock. It's too dim to read during the day and too bright to sleep with at night. Granted, it could be that the clock does have this sensor and mine's just broken. Not sure. I don't think so. Setting a next morning alarm is easy and almost always works. Setting daily or weekly alarms seems to confused the heck out of it (it being whatever background A.I. is parsing my spoken English (which I suspect is Google and not Lenovo)). I do not use this clock for watching video or listening to music so I can't say how well it does or doesn't do this. It's not very big so I can't imagine it playing music that requires a deep bass doing that very well.

Posted .We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with the settings within your Lenovo Smart Clock with Google Assistant. You can set the brightness level between 0 and 10 by swiping up on your clock. The Lenovo Smart Clock with Google Assistant also has an “Auto Brightness” feature that utilizes an ambient light sensor to adjust your clock automatically. You can even say “Okay Google screen off” to turn off the screen completely. Also, you can ask the Google Assistant to set and manage alarms on Android phones, speakers, Smart Displays, and Smart Clocks. Important: If you're using a speaker, Smart Display, or Smart Clock and use Downtime, your alarms might be restricted or blocked. You can also use the Lenovo Smart Clock with Google Assistant for anything that you might use a Google Home Mini for, like playing music, asking about the weather, getting sports scores, or controlling smart home gadgets by voice. The only video you can watch on the Smart Clock is feeds from Nest cameras.

If you wont use this for an alarm clock then by all means get it.

Caught this on a Black Friday deal and have 0 complaints. It is nice having the weather displayed with the time. I keep the microphone off so I do not take advantage of the voice controls which from what I seen are pretty cool but do not want big brother listening to me. You do need to have a Google account as well as an app installed on your phone to complete set up.
