The performance is budget. You will see lag and choppy animations, which is typical of cheap Android tablets. This is not an iPad. But for the price, it makes a decent movie watching, casual browsing experience, something to throw on the couch and forget. The screen is a middling IPS screen, with poor blacks and not that great viewing angles with IPS glow on darker colors, but that's expected. It's at least laminated with no air gap, unlike the cheapest base iPad. The build is half metal, half rubbery plastic, and gives the illusion of premium, for a split second anyway. Then it starts feeling a bit coarse. Not a big deal really. It's durable, but you know it doesn't have the polish of a premium device. The speakers are the worst offender. They don't sound good, have no base, and sound distorted and crackly. It's passable but not an enjoyable experience. In a pinch type of speakers.

I am a tablet, novice as this is my first one. I’ve been a fan of Lenovo for my entire life it seems. I currently own two laptops that I absolutely love and I can’t wait to buy my next one. I thought that my love of Lenovo would transfer to the world of tablets, unfortunately not yet. pros: one can use it for an extra screen or monitor for your laptop pretty easily using the Lenovo freestyle software installed on the tablet. Cons: kinda glitchy with the transitions between apps. The tablet still doesn’t recognize my face using the facial recognition software. And lastly, I’m not 100% sold on android. Kind of meh. I would recommend spending more money and getting the upgraded bottle of a Lenovo tablet or even switch brands together. I actually forgot that I owned a tablet until I got this email about reviewing it. That’s how much I love it.

Purchased her a Samsung about 4 years ago, and she stated that this tablet has better features and performs better than the Samsung did. I wasn't sure at first to go with the Lenovo, but I am really glad I chose this over the Samsung, it saved me a ton of money and the feedback from my friend confirmed that this was a great choice.
