I was looking to replace a 17" Lenovo Ideapad which not only turned out to be too bulky, but had a very flat keyboard that wasn't comfortable to type on. I decided I was prepared to spring for a 2-in-1 that was a bit smaller (15" or so) and had an SSD drive for performance. I tried every 2-in-1 at Best Buy, and fell in love with the ThinkPad because of its keyboard. I'm a developer, so having something comfortable to type on was very important to me, and one of the primary reasons I was trading in the previous laptop. After having it for a couple of months, I've really enjoyed the portability and performance. I haven't used the 2-in-1 feature much, but it was very handy to have when I needed to quickly show something to someone at a conference. My only very minor wish was that it had a regular RJ-45 ethernet port for the occasional time I've had an opportunity to use a wired network connection, but that is very minor. Highly recommended!

This laptop is the perfect combination of performance and features and portability.
I take it everywhere because the size and weight means it is barely noticeable in my backpack.
The key board and build in pen means I can shift from reviews content and doing research online to building presentations and spreadsheets anywhere. I find the keyboard key feel to be one of the best on most laptops.
The solid state drive and i5 boot instantly so I am never waiting for the computer.

Bought this on sale for $759 and added an additional 8gb RAM for $40. Took me 10 minutes to put the memory in and really noticed a difference in speed. The screen is fantastic, the i5 is faster than the 7 core 3.8 Ghz. Data transfers very fast from the mini SD card. Computer is solid. I bought the 3 year warranty for this laptop. Best purchase I've made all year. Much much better than the $500 cheap laptops and many times more durable.

I'm historically, a Mac guy. But I was looking for something that worked well and gave me mobility. After researching and playing with my friend's Yoga, I was hooked. Now if you're after the top-end device, this won't have the specs, but for average use... it kills. Especially given that its touchscreen, can be used in Book mode as a tablet, and comes with a pen.
PS. Using my Edge browser, I can open 3 separate windows with about 40 tabs active in each. That's while streaming a movie and having a tune playing. Come on now, that's more than enough power for typical use.

While the fingerprint reader is hard to configure if you use Ubuntu, this machine is really good for developers. Before buying the L380 I bought another laptop with weird webcam placement that came with a disastrous killer wifi card, as I was told it was a "developer edition". The L380 might not be top specs but in my case, as a developer, it is really portable and the keyboard is COOL, but really *COOL*. The look of this laptop is quite standard and does not come with ugly logos and neon lights, making this a really good option if you want to look professional. When I have to run large queries I do that on a desktop machine. My experience using the L380 with Ubuntu was really cool, everything worked out of the box except for the fingerprint reader. The machine came with Windows 10 Pro, and I have to say that on both systems the wifi works really well, unlike other brand who likes to blame the user for their stupid hardware savings. And again, the keyboard is really comfortable.

Toyotas and Hondas make great cars. Lenovo makes great computers like the Thinkpad. This Thinkpad continues in a long tradition of durable, user friendly classic computers at a great price. The keyboard is second to none, trackpad is quiet and soft to the hands, durability is excellent and most of all the RAM and Memory can be upgraded. In the era of ultrabooks, tablets and new age technology, the Thinkpad remains old school, well built and most of all modern. This laptop is a guaranteed great buy and will outlast all of these modern laptops by leaps and bounds.

I've only had this laptop for a short time, but I've worked on Lenovos for multiple years. I travel a lot, and I find these computers to be really durable. I find it to be very easy to use, too. It's acted up a few times in the two months that I've had it (strange marks on the screen that eventually go away; shutting down randomly once or twice), but I attribute that to it being new and working out kinks. I love the keyboard, the flexibility, the apps and the touchscreen. Overall, I would recommend.

We are sorry to hear that you are having issue with Windows 10 Operating System. Windows 10 should not shutdown, undirected. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686

I have had this unit for a few weeks now and like almost everything about it. Overall operation is great. The screen is large enough for my needs when undocked. The resolution is very nice. Battery life is good. The only complaint I have is that the finger print reader only works about 25% of the time. Most of the time I have to enter my password manually. I think there is a support thread out there on how to improve this so that is why I did not nock this rating down to a 4.

This laptop runs extremely well. The i5 and 8GM of RAM, combined with the NVME SSD, make this laptop run smooth all day. The keyboard is far and away the best I have ever used on a laptop, beating out the Spectre and XPS series I have tested in store. I highly recommend going to your local store and seeing for yourself the difference this keyboard makes.

The Lenovo ThinkPad L380 Yoga model number 20M7S03400 ships with two standard USB ports and two USB-c ports. With regard to the fingerprint reader no functioning properly, there was a Windows 10 update recently that may be the cause of this. This laptop is fantastic! Working with ThinkPads a lot I wanted something that was user-upgradeable and was higher quality than the typical Yoga laptops. This one was perfect for my needs.
Pros:
-The keyboard is one of the best I've ever used on any laptop.
-Built like a tank, I can tell it's going to last a while.
-User-upgradable (will void your warranty), i swapped the drive for a 1TB and added 8GB of RAM and it took me 5 mins.
-The screen flexibility is great for multiple purposes.
-It comes with a Wacom stylus!
-Price-wise, you get way more for your money than the other Yoga laptops.
-It charges from 0% to ~90% in an hour, it's very fast.
-More than enough ports for most people.
-Battery lasts a long time.
Cons:
-The screen is pretty small, but there is a huge bezel around it. I'm pretty sure they could have made this 14" or 15" without affecting the size.
-Screen also isn't great quality, colors are pretty muted.
-There doesn't seem to be a way to make the keyboard backlight turn on and off with the ambient light, even though the screen brightness can change with ambient light. The only way to turn on the backlight is to press Fn+Spacebar.
Speakers are plenty loud, but they're on the bottom of the laptop. If you have the laptop on anything besides a hard surface it muffles them. On a hard surface they're pretty good.
Despite these cons, I still think this laptop is deserving of 5 stars and is worth every penny.

This is a great computer because it combines the best of both worlds - ThinkPad and Yoga - in one device. You get the durability and reliability of ThinkPad with the flexibility of Lenovo Yoga devices. The computer starts up very quickly and launches into the programs. Not to mention the device has plenty of power to handle my multi-tasking (20 internet windows open, MS Word, MS Excel and file folder). I'd definitely recommend this to a friend. I've been happy thus far.

My wife's employer provides her with a higher end 14 inch thinkpad which she really likes. She needed a new home laptop and a high end thinkpad would not normally be in our budget. I happen to come across this one marked down $130 for what was just 1 day. It has a touch screen, 2 usb type c ports (1 dedicated to charging), 8 GB of ram that's upgradable to 32 GB and a stylus pen that stores in a charging port on the laptop. That's unbeatable value! I originally bought her a Dell for much less and the description said it had a type c usb port but was not to be found when it arrived. I sent it back when I came across this laptop.
