It is large enough to do what I need to, but small enough to carry along with me. Love the touch screen, and the stylus. The finger action on the keyboard is just right and I like the back light feature as well. (Getting used to the little red finger pointer too.) I bought it because several people told me that the Lenovos are great at NOT needing much 'fix-it' time in the computer shop. I got the GEEK SQUAD care though just in case. I feel covered on all angles now. Looking forward to having this computer for a LOOONG time.

I am so impressed with this system! The build quality is excellent. It is solid, well built, and made from high quality materials. The performance is so impressive! Quick, responsive, and accurate. This laptop is such a joy to use; I couldn't be happier with this ThinkPad!

I still prefer the higher end thinkpads but for 799 this will do for most people. You'll have to spend over a grand to get the premium thinkpads. This thinkpad is originally 999 dollars but with the sale price and my 60 dollar gift card the total after tax came to 795 so I can't complain much here.

I even liked the old IBM Thinkpads and Lenovo has preserved a lot of that keyboard look and feel all these years later. And it is solid and durable yet lightweight and compact enough making it perfect as an all around business workhorse. It also works fine for watching video and has the touch screen. Solid purchase.

Thought the screen would be too small. Not really. And what it lacks in size it makes up for in portability. Keyboard is great. Charges fast and holds charge for a while. Uses the same port as my Samsung phone. Charges the phone fast too and haven't noticed any damage to the phone's battery. I'd definitely buy again.

The keypad has a great retro look and the keys feel great while tapping away. It has a touch screen and smooth flat black exterior. Responds great and easy to use. Screen is krisp and clean with beautiful colors. Size is wonderful as it is not a huge heavy laptop. Slim and very light. I am so happy that I purchased this laptop.

The touchscreen is great and it has a long battery life. only reason I gave it 4 stars is that sometimes grabbing the screen to close feels flimsy and makes noise otherwise an awesome purchase. Love this machine.

It handles a lot of hefty programs well (I used it for engineering school where I ran a lot of bulky 3D rendering and test programs).

It is pretty fast, but the screen resolution isn't as good as an HP or a Dell, but that is fine since we use a 27" monitor. I highly recommend it.

Very nice, but not for me

It wasn't the right fit for me, but it has to with personal preferences & needs. I didn't care for the little pen. While it's convenient having it store in the device, it would get stuck inside. I struggled a lot putting it back. The screen would not get bright enough. While the keyboard was very comfortable to type on, the Function & Control keys are in opposite spots. I have 8-10 hour work days on computers with the keys in the right place. Then, I would come home to the Thinkpad with the keys in the wrong place. It slowed down my typing more than you think it would. I think it's a very nice, no frills laptop, but I need a more traditional keyboard & dedicated graphics for video editing, so I returned it. I'm now saving up for the HP Spectre x360 15T or Microsoft Surface Book 2, which is at a completely different price bracket.

Windows 10 and only had to remove a few of the bloatware items. Fewer than most other manufacturer installs. Battery lasts about 8 hours and tablet to pc mode is quick and spot on.

CPU throttling is awful

However, after owning it for 5 months or so it's become a nightmare. It becomes virtually unusable while charging, the CPU throttles badly and it can't keep up with anything. It seems to partially be a heat issue, as it seems to be okay for the first couple of minutes after it's plugged in but once it gets a bit warm it throttles until you unplug it. This seems to be a common issue with these laptops if you search "L380 cpu throttling". Absolute waste of money.

Posted .We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Lenovo ThinkPad L380 Yoga. The issue you describe may be due to out dated BIOS and Drivers on your computer. You can easily update the BIOS and Drivers by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software installed on this computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. If the issue still continues after these updates, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686 for additional help.
