Great screen, keyboard feel and lightweight yet durable. I use this for school and it's great. I also like that they collaborated with iFixit, so if I wanted to, I can upgrade the ram, SSD, and even change the battery myself if or when it goes bad for my usage.

    Not the best Thinkpad

I think the computer but believe is way over priced. I paid 1,400 the computer. It has a matte screen, which is great in the eyes for long use. The track pad left something to be desired. The battery life was average. The touch pad was not very responsive.

Hi BestBuyComputerDude, we're sorry to hear that your ThinkPad fell short for you in some ways. To try to resolve this, let's start with the touchpad. Also, in Windows Settings, follow these steps to get to touchpad settings: Bluetooth & Devices > Touchpad. There should be an option to toggle touchpad options there. You can also select "Additional mouse options" for more detailed adjustments to the touchpad sensitivity or by increasing the delay of the touchpad. Regarding battery life, by default the system will tend to give more speed when needed, which can sacrifice battery life. If you want to squeeze out more battery life, we recommend using Vantage to adjust settings related to power and battery performance (to access relevant settings, open Vantage > Device Settings > Power). Users can also take advantage of the keyboard shortcut, Fn + Q to toggle thermal modes and easily switch between prioritizing battery life or power, or even the best of both worlds. Hopefully this helps, and if not, please let us know. We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us. Lenovo

Graphics are poor quality for video conferencing

I bought this laptop for video conferencing. I love the ethernet port and the memory, processor, and storage. I did read all of the features and specifications, and saw that the graphics was labeled as “entry level” before buying. I took a chance since everything else was exactly what I wanted. The graphics in video conferencing leaves alot to be desired, in my opinion, even with a Lenovo program built in to customize your video graphics, it just isn’t very good. NOT A DEALBREAKER for me, but definitely dissatisfactory; there is an obviously grainy or poor looking quality to the video during conferencing. Another thing that stuck out was that I left it unplugged overnight on day 1 since it was fully charged, and in the morning, there was about 10% of battery life. The HP Omnibook that I bought has an extremely superior battery life, in comparison, and it has really nice mid level graphics. The Omnibook was more than half the price of this Thinkpad T14 Gen5, and I like the Omnibook better; except for the fact that it does not have an ethernet port, and only one usb-a slot. I will look into getting a dock or an ethernet port adaptor for the HP.

      Hey HokeyPokey1,

We're sorry to hear that the viewing experience on your ThinkPad T14, along with the battery life you've seen, have fallen short for you.

To clarify, the system graphics processing is not as responsible for image quality as the camera on the system is when it comes to video conferencing. Updating system drivers may resolve this for you (you can do so in the Lenovo Vantage app > Open Vantage > Check for updates button), but it could be an attribute of the system imaging hardware.

With battery life, comparatively, the other system you bought features a system with a different architecture that is focused on optimizing and prioritizing battery life, sacrificing power or system performance for efficiency (in this scenario).

By default, the system will tend to give more speed when needed, which can sacrifice battery life. Also, due to Windows sleep settings, even though your system is asleep, power can still drain from the battery. If you wish to preserve as much power as possible when the system is not in use, we recommend powering the laptop off.

If you want to squeeze out more battery life, we recommend users utilize the Lenovo Vantage application that is preinstalled to adjust settings related to power and battery performance (to access relevant settings, open Vantage > Device Settings > Power). Users can also take advantage of the keyboard shortcut, Fn + Q to toggle thermal modes and easily switch between prioritizing battery life or power, or even the best of both worlds.

We hope that this helps, and please feel free to reach out to us via the Q&A section of this product's page, or via the Lenovo Support team if we can be of assistance.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your perspective with us! Lenovo

I am very happy with this laptop: Lenovo - ThinkPad T14 Gen 5 14" Touch - Screen Laptop - AMD Ryzen 7 PRO with 32GB Memory - 1TB SSD - Black Since I am now storing large files on Dropbox and accessing them from there, I have plenty of storage on the laptop, and I love the touchscreen, battery life, processor speed.
