The build quality feels cheap and flimsy, with a lot of flex in the keyboard and a weak hinge on the screen. The touchpad is also not very responsive and the keyboard layout feels cramped. The performance is also lacking, with the processor struggling to keep up with even basic tasks. The battery life is also below average, requiring frequent charging even with light usage. The overall design and aesthetic also feels dated and unappealing.

In advance, this is a lengthy response, as we want to fully address the pain points of your experience. ThinkPad devices are MIL-spec tested to deliver a resistance and resilience to various things including shock with minor drops. With its slight flex in its chassis, this allows for better shock dissipation after impact to prevent major damage to the body and internal of the computer. ThinkPad keyboards are built with productivity in mind, winning numerous awards in design and functionality and with your touchpad, if you are experiencing an issue with responsiveness, you can adjust the touchpad in your system settings. You can get there by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom of your Windows 11 screen. Type "touchpad" in the search window. Select "Mouse & touchpad settings" from the list of choices. You can make general adjustments to the touchpad there. You can also select "Additional mouse options" for more detailed adjustments to the touchpad sensitivity by increasing the delay of the touchpad. Making the touchpad less sensitive may correct the issues you have experienced. If your issue persists, we recommend contacting Lenovo Tech Support at this number and give the representative information on any troubleshooting steps you have tried: 877-453-6686. Regarding performance, this model ThinkPad features an Intel Core i5-6300U processor, a 6th generation CPU, with our current ThinkPads using 12th gen Intel processing. Its a well built - sturdy machine. Although its not the fasted with a Core I5, it is FAST and way faster than what I had. I will only have solid state hard drives moving forward. The start up times are soo much faster...

Out of the box I could hardly even tell that this was a refurbished computer. IT did a great job scrubbing everything that was on it previously. Just what I needed to get the job done!

It doesn't seem to affect operation, but it worries me that it's just a matter of time. Microphone doesn't work very well, and I suspect that separation has something to do with it. I won't buy a refurbished item again.

Only issue is I will get an HDD failure at times and have to turn off for it to read and boot up normally and not in safe mode.
