There are already a number of thoughtful reviews here on Best Buy of the Yoga 6, so I thought it might be worthwhile to compare the Yoga 6 to another similar 2-in-1 that people may also be considering - the HP Envy x360 13” 2-in-1 available here at Best Buy with an 11th-gen Intel i7 and the new top-tier Xe integrated graphics.
I purchased both laptops as open box, excellent condition items while each was on sale. I paid $674.99 for the HP ENVY x360 2-in-1 and about $539.99 for the Lenovo Yoga 6. Both come with current-gen processors and integrated graphics, and both come with 8GB RAM. The HP does have a larger SSD, though at 512GB vs 256 for the Yoga 6.
The HP x360 is quite a nice little laptop. Compared to the Yoga 6, it’s a little thinner, a little lighter and has an overall slightly smaller footprint. It’s made of metal, its screen is brighter, its audio is better (despite downward-firing speakers), and I like that its keyboard has media controls and buttons to kill the webcam and mike. I also like that it has a micro-USB slot, and Thunderbolt 4. The Yoga 6 has none of these things. But ultimately, I returned the HP in favor of the Lenovo Yoga 6. Why? The Yoga 6 has significantly higher performance and is a better all-around package for me.
While the HP x360 uses a 4-core, 8-thread 11th-gen Intel i7 w/the new Xe integrated graphics, the Yoga 6 uses the excellent AMD Ryzen 4650U Pro, a 6-core, 12-thread processor that is simply faster than Intel’s offering overall in my testing. And while Intel has been touting their new Xe graphics as going head-to-head with the NVidia MX350 discrete graphics card, the truth is that in real-world applications, and at lower TDPs than Intel’s 28W reference laptop design, that’s just not true (in my testing). Perhaps in time better drivers from Intel will close the gap, but it’s certainly not the case now. In fact, in actual use, the Xe graphics couldn’t even keep up with the (excellent) integrated Radeon Vega 6 graphics in the Yoga 6. I ran a few benchmarks on these and will show just a couple of results here.
In the photo of the two laptops side by side, you can see the results of a graphics benchmark test using the game Dirt Rally on battery power (since I like to game on the go with small laptops like these, I test on battery as well as plugged in.) Settings were identical for each – 1600x900, medium preset, identical options, both laptops set to their performance modes, etc. You can see that the Yoga 6 had an avg of 67.42 FPS with its Radeon Vega 6 graphics, vs 43.88 for the HP x360 with its intel Xe graphics. Min and max frames were also much higher with the Yoga 6, and you can see from the test summary that over the course of the benchmarking, the HP Envy dropped thousands of frames compared to the Yoga 6. Every gaming benchmark I tested showed the Yoga 6 to consistently beat the HP ENVY x360 in frame rates.
I also like to use the benchmarking application Novabench. (This benchmarking suite completes in minutes and does not really stress any component with long-term sustained loads. It’s good for a quick snapshot before more detailed testing.) I show a representative run with both laptops on battery power at their highest-performing modes. Here again, the Yoga 6 scored faster overall (Yoga 6 = 2405, HP x360 = 2057). The Yoga 6 had higher sub-scores for CPU and DISK (1602 and 261, respectively, vs 1302 and 159 for the HP) while the HP scored slightly higher on the GPU and RAM 363 and 233, respectively, vs 331 and 211 for the Yoga 6) This did *not*, however, translate into real-world performance gains for the HP, graphically or otherwise.
The Yoga 6 was just a little bit faster in daily use, and significantly faster in games. It was also significantly faster to boot up ~6 seconds compared to ~12 seconds. In addition to the generally higher performance of the Yoga 6, it also stayed cooler and had significantly better battery life (not a surprise given the CPUs in each).
So, again, the HP ENVY is a nice little laptop, and some people will have no issue paying more for the slightly smaller metal build, thunderbolt, brighter screen, etc. I don’t think it’s unreasonably priced (especially at its current sale price) at all and would recommend it for those who understand what it can do, and what it can't. But I think the better *value* by far is with the Yoga 6, and for my needs, that is what I ultimately chose.
I hope this is helpful for someone making a purchasing decision.

I have been using this laptop for just over two weeks and must say I am very impressed! The Ryzen processor is incredible... it's fast, cool, and sips power... the holy grail of processor qualities. The form factor is excellent, feeling both light weight yet sturdy, and the material choices have a pleasing tactile feel.
Daily tasks such as web browsing, video conferencing, and Office work are accomplished with ease and in silence. In general, the system only runs the fan when charging (barely audible) and gaming (audible, but of a subtle and pleasant quality). Streaming video playback is nearly instant and the sound from the Dolby Atmos tuned speakers is surprisingly loud with very good fidelity, if lacking in bass. Overall, day-to-day use is snappy and responsive with a battery that lasts well over 8 hours of constant use.
In an effort to push the system to it's limit and see how well it responds, I played Anno 1800 at 1080p with low graphic settings (object quality set to high) for 9 hours over the last week; in short, it runs smooth and is totally playable. While the system fan did spin up, CPU temperatures averaged a very cool 65°C and the Vega 6 graphics returned an average 35 FPS (see picture). Playing on battery power alone, I got 2h30m under "high performance" mode before the system indicated it needed a charge. The only downside playing this game is that the system runs out of memory quickly and starts using the page file. Honestly, I didn't notice any degradation to gameplay indicating the storage is speedy and the components are well matched.
Compared to other laptops in this price range, the tactile feel and overall usability exudes the quality of something more expensive, you feel like you got your money's worth. Sure, there are some compromises, but they're so minor and inconsequential I don't think they're worth mentioning. I can only say in my next laptop I'll look for more memory and a 16:10 screen.

Awesome Portable Linux Workstation

This little thing is a beast of a computer. I bought this as a portable development machine to use with Linux alongside being able to browse the internet and watch videos. I have to say, this thing exceeded my expectations.
Pros:
- Runs Linux (Using Arch Linux, Kernel 5.9.6), Rotation, touchscreen, sound, network, video/hardware acceleration, everything works as expected. (With configuration, obviously).
- It is a Ryzen Pro 4650U, this means you get 6-cores and 12-threads. I have verified this on my own machine, screenshots are attached.
- Chrome, docker, sublime, discord, slack- everything runs flawlessly and no lag multitasking.
- Instant boot times.
- Easy to get into the BIOS (F1+F2 at startup, don't hold FN)
- Display is vibrant and bright (enough)
- Premium feeling laptop, nice cloth cover on top and it has weight. It's a nice size for me.
- Keyboard is nice to type on (despite lacking a ten-key)
Cons:
- Ram is soldiered and cannot be upgraded. 8gb seems like a weird pairing with this processor as an extra 8gb would make it unstoppable for productivity. However, for my needs it is more than enough.
- While the display is nice, it has more ghosting than I'm used to. A minor gripe, but I'm not using it for gaming.
I honestly was blown away by how good this laptop is for the price. I cannot recommend it enough.

I missed out on the sales Best Buy had going on this laptop but then I got extremely lucky and found this awesome little powerful laptop for a great deal at a Best Buy in OC! It was open box and I'm very satisfied that Best Buy thoroughly checks open box laptops because mine works flawlessly. I don't game on this so 8gb ram is plenty for my tasks and the AMD Razn 5 processor does not disappoint. It handles all my school assignments easily. Definitely best bang for your buck!

I honestly at the time wasn't looking for a new labtop & originally was wanting to buy the Samsung Flex in (Blue) because, I wanted to get the same brand as my phone. But when I visited best buy & came across this amazing labtop ! What caught my eye was that it was a 2-1 in one labtop & it had an amazing luxury look to it . Plus , it's small to carry around to other places ! I'd recommend everyone doing research on any labtop your trying to find in particular. This is the best pricing labtop that I've ever bought out of most of the labtops I ever had !

I purchased yesterday after having a Mac Book Pro for 10yrs . Did A LOT of research during Covid and went with my gut Lenovo which is a sister company to IBM the original computer makers. I was looking at the C740 but this baby was sitting next to it . The color is a TRUE navy blue. Being that's my favorite color i said why not check it out . WELL let me tell you the ease of typing is comparable to the Logitec K860 ergo Keyboard which i purchased to use with this when my wrist start to hurt . The Speed is amazing , Screen clarity great , super light , the body covering is a rubber like texture which is great especially if you are working from home . The cover is super trendy really looks like denim. The sound is excellent for a laptop which i pair with Boss ear buds. Over all LOVE IT .. Keys light up when you turn on and would be nice if they stayed on or had an option to turn on .
Also the price point is nothing compared to what you are getting .. Excellent product for a great price !! Also the finger lock option is the Excellent . Close the cover and everything goes on pause. Open up tap your finger to unlock and everything is there just they way you left it . Music playing and all .

Blazingly fast, super build quality. I am running Linux on it (5.9 kernel), as per the helpful guidance of another reviewer (thank you!).
The AMD Ryzen 5 CPU gives much more expensive Intel CPU's a run for their money. This laptop fights well above its weight class.
Pop_OS 20.10 (sound card issue) & elementaryOS (suspend/resume issue) did not work, but Manjaro/Arch Linux work perfectly without any fuss.
We got it on sale for $599, which is an amazing deal.

Perfect choice for high speed, durable, travel-friendly, high quality screen, and beautiful blue colored computer. Lenovo is reputable for its long life and dependable computer system. I would have to agree. I needed something on the go and the touch screen/tablet mode fits ALL of my needs and more!
My job just gave us new Lenovo 15 inch Thinkpads (that’s the other computer in pics). It’s way TOO heavy and unnecessarily large, even the screen and ways too much to be able to take with you on the go.
The Yoga 6 it’s a lot lighter in weight, has more functions, can be turned into a tablet, has a fingerprint reader, and offers better sound, privacy camera shutter, and so much more.
I 100% love my Yoga 6 and think it’s one of the best Buy’s I’ve made. And because it’s Lenovo, it’ll last me a very very long time through my masters degree.

We loved the size, and how compact and light weight it is. Is fast and overall works fine. The problem that we have had since the beging when we purchased, is that the audio and video calls don't work propertly. We took it to get it fixed by Lenovo, and is still not working 100% . Mind you I got this computer during the pandemic and needed it for my son's virtual classes, so the video call not working defeated the purpose. I could expected that on a $200 machine, but this product was almost $800. Also resently the screen got messed up.

It’s literally very good purchase, I recommend it as a very productive laptop. You get any services that you need from a 13.3 inches screen with very high performance. The texture of the fabric on back of screen make it different from any other product. I just have no idea about playing the game, otherwise it’s one of the best laptop I’ve ever seen. I choose the Ryzen AMD and I’mso happy from my choice.

This Lenovo Yoga 6 is amazing.
It's faster than my previous Samsung Chromebook 3 with the AMD Ryzen 5 Pro 4650U and Radeon Vega Graphics, its battery is longer, and its Dolby Atmos speakers sound good. It's great for studying, playing, watching and more. I'm so glad that I got the laptop on sale because this is a good price point for this laptop. Purchased for College

So let me fill you as the reader in with a little bit of background before I talk about this specific device. I had purchased from Amazon in the summer of 2020 a Lenovo Thinkbook 13s of which I had made use of for a semester and a half of college. Over the course of this time, the Thinkbook had a tendency to overheat in my backpack on the way to college and the camera had somehow cracked twice among other camera issues (and no I don't have the most aesthetic appearance or anything, but I don't crack mirrors at looking at them either). Needing more reliable machinery for college I went to BestBuy and for some reason chose to buy other Lenovo after my experience with the prior one. This Yoga 6 I purchased in April for $699 regular price had served me reasonably well for several months after that. Features such as the backlit keyboard, fingerprint sensor, camera shutter blocker, and the 2-in-1 touch screen design we're all bonuses in my category on top of the laptops aesthetic look. For a great while, the only minor complaints I had were of the screen being too glossy, of the keyboards already showing signs of fade after a month of use (trackpad is coated in a material that resists such wear), of the fingerprint reader on average working about 6 or 7 times out of 10, and of the charging cable getting so hot it aroused concern within me. The past month-and-a-half was really when I started to see additional minor annoyances and issues arise. Somehow 2 of the screws on the bottom shell had worked their way out, an area of paint on the bottom shell had worn off to reveal black plastic beneath (pointed out in picture), and the warranty information sticker on the bottom of the device printed on a top clearcoat sticker had begun to peel off. My major annoyance, however, was of the keyboard keys which randomly work and don't work as they please. At first it had only been the c,v,m, and right shift keys, but now this issue consumes around half of the keyboard keys. I need a device for college and cannot send it back until the semester ends, but this should not be happening on a device this new and often I'm often left clicking a key until it registers that I clicked the key. Aside from this, the mouse cursor has frequently been falling behind my gestures of it, continuing to move what I motioned before when taking my hand off the trackpad. Sometimes websites on the internet do the same lagging behind issue as well. Overall, I cannot recommend this device and I personally am done purchasing new Lenovo laptops, but again I feel as though Lenovo does make quality devices and I have just had a bad experience with them. I'm sure this is a great computer for many other people, I just have to get my word out there on my experience and to send an overall message of "buyer beware!"

We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Lenovo Yoga 6 13. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If there is no incompatible software installed but the issues persist, check to be sure you have the latest version of Windows on the computer. Then update all BIOS files and drivers up to that latest version of Windows. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. If the issue still continues after these updates, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686 for additional help.

Great laptop while it worked. One day past return window (15 days) and half of the screen went out with black lines going across the screen. See photo. Wish I could return or exchange from bestbuy. We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Lenovo Yoga 6 13. It is possible that resetting your computer back to original factory settings will correct the issue you describe. Since you can not boot the computer, this system is equipped with OneKey Recovery System. There is a very small pin hole on the bottom of the device, right near the bottom right corner of the cooling vent on the bottom of the device. You will need a pin to push this reset button. Plug the device in. Let the battery charge for about 15 minutes. Push the reset button. The system should boot to a choice screen where you can choose "Restore To Factory Default". Select this. It will delete everything from the hard drive except the original factory install of the operating system. You will need to reinstall all programs and files after the reset. If you don't have copies of the files, try to make one before you restore by selecting "Boot to desktop" and trying to back up your files. Once you have the computer reset, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. The computer cannot go 15 minutes without shutting down and restarting when I am in the middle of a task and the camera doesn’t work. It was deemed “Excellent Certified Open Box” when I bought it. I thought I could trust that but I guess not. I wish I had never bought this and I will never trust Best Buy when it comes to refurbished products. Yoga 6 seems like incredible value. And the specs on paper are great.
The pc was quick and felt good. But I had issues with the touch screen. I could draw perfect vertical and horizontal lines, but all diagonal lines ended up as squiggly lines. Please see image below. I could draw a staright line even with a ruler.
Useless to get a 2 in 1 laptop that you can't draw and write on.
I also had a dead pixel when I received the laptop.

Lenovo - Yoga 6 13 2-in-1 13.3" Touch Screen Laptop -First of the graphics are pretty great, I play my X-box one games on this they look pretty awesome; downside is although it's a great look it has some trouble running my games as it will stall and stop, I have great internet, so while the look is great it just okay for gaming, Watching Netflix is great on here, I've had no problems and the playback looks and runs smooth. Other good things about the Yoga, I can have 8-10 pages open with no lag, I really like the backlit keyboard for when my husband is sleeping and I'm up late. The CO-pilot is really great to have!! The sound is okay not as loud as I wished it could be, so I make sure to use headphones. what I don't like, no side number keys, it gets annoying having to head to the top to type every time I need a number! And the touch pad is HUGE, you'd think this would be a good thing but it's really not, it gets in the way it's so big, i just cut mine off completely and only use my screen and mouse. And the system to which I keep my pictures is a bit different than a Chromebook so if you like simple this isn't it, it takes so much time to organize my pic's when it shouldn't be this hard, If I try to delete a photo it gets them all, so I have to go back and keep junk I no longer want. All in all, it's a decent computer.
