Works very well 3 years later

I bought this Laptop back in 2021 and i waited three years to give my review on this. First off, the Ryen 7 5700U Still works great on general use as well as light to Mid Gaming such as Minecraft, GTA and Simulator games. The battery life is very good with mine lasting up to 8 to 9 hours. The case has held up well including the fabric cover. Overall, I do recommend Lenovo laptops like the Yoga series for their Durability and battery life.

I bought 3 of these laptops. The two that worked were great. The other, I returned due to networking issues. I got another that had the same issue. intermittent connectivity issues and sometimes none at all while all other devices on my network were fine. will be returning this one and upgrading to something more reliable. Great computer, when it works...

Didn't end up purchasing this item. I returned it four days later. Lenovo tech and a Geek squad member recommended this computer and stated that it would be sufficient to support my gaming needs. Came back four days later to get tech support to download everything to it only to find out from the Geek Squad member that this Lenovo Yoga was not going to support my games nor would he recommend it for any gaming purposes. Salesman in the computer section didn't recommend the Lenovo for gaming either

This machine started out alright, but after a few months the wifi started experiencing problems. Lenovo troubleshooting couldn't resolve it. A re-install of windows couldn't resolve it, and in the end I barely got six months out of this machine before I had to give up and buy another. My first and last lenovo.

Absolutely horrible. This device can't even keep a Wifi connection. it constantly keeps dropping even though we have a least a dozen other devices on the same network working fine and streaming media. I've spent more time troubleshooting the issues than using the device. Calls into Lenovo have been no help whatsoever. This is the worst computer I've ever used.

We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with WiFi connectivity with your Lenovo Yoga 6 13 model number 82ND006QUS, ships with the latest, wide-range/high speed, WiFi-6 frequency WiFi, which when used with a compatible 802.11ax frequency WiFi router, will provide the widest range, high speed WiFi connectivity. This WiFi-6 is also backward compatible to older, a/b/g/n/ac frequency WiFi as well. If you are experiencing less than expected WiFi performance, check to be sure you have the latest version of Windows on the computer. Then update all BIOS files and drivers up to that latest version of Windows. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. If the issue still continues after these updates, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686 for additional help. Lenovo

Within 10 days of using this laptop, the power supply failed. According to Best Buy, this is a common bug and they made good on it by replacing the computer but if there is a known issue, stop selling it. Also the outer cover feels like denim. By design but it feels weird

Screen: The touch screen is responsive and accurate. No complaints here. The screen is bright enough (maybe bump it up a little more next year) and quite color accurate, even out of the box. Ghosting and motion blur is low but somewhat noticeable. I was able to overclock the display using CRU to achieve almost 75hz, which feels quite nice (I understand the potential risks in doing this and I do not condone those who are unexperienced to try this). I have yet to try to take notes on the screen with a pen/stylus, but I'm sure it's fine. Keyboard: I'm a 5'10 male with medium sized hands. Keyboard doesn't feel cramped and travel time is on point. No complaints. Backlight is just white, with two brightness settings. It's fine. Touchpad: Not as good as the likes of a Macbook, per se, but for this price ($699 as of typing) it's performing well and feels mostly precise. Fingerprint Scanner: Fantastic. Works like a charm and is super convenient. Good job, Lenovo! Thermals/Noise: Fans are mostly silent and the CPU never reaches temperatures higher than 70C. No complaints here. Performance/Gaming: While not designed to game, it is capable of doing so thanks to the beast of an APU in here, the Ryzen 7 5700u. It isn't Zen 3 as the confusing naming scheme may imply, but it's a marginal step up from last year's 4700u or 4750u. Most games at 1080p low will run at around 30fps (even some triple-A games; seriously, no joke, this thing will run Metro: Exodus at playable framerates at 1080p). This being said, to achieve 60fps gameplay in most other games, expect to drop the resolution to 720p at medium-high settings. As decent as it is for gaming, you can be certain the 8-core, 16-thread beast of a CPU will shred web-browsing, word-processing, video-editing and even some light professional workloads. Absolutely stunned at the impressive performance of this sub-3lbs 2-in-1 laptop. Build Quality: I see other commenters going on about the flimsy build quality on this machine and I personally disagree. For $699 at the time of typing, the all-aluminum chassis feels great to hold, is very-light and does not feel flimsy at all. You'd be hard pressed (literally) to get the keyboard to flex while normal use. At least for me, this is not an issue. Webcam: I'll be frank, it sucks. You can't be too surprised, as it's still comparable to most other laptops in this price-range. It's barely serviceable, which frankly, is good enough for me. Privacy shutter is thoughtful. Good job, Lenovo! Haven't had the pleasure of testing the microphone, but I'm sure it's just as mediocre as the webcam (but hey, haven't tried it yet). I/O: It's fine; headphone jack included. Good job, Lenovo! Charges via USB-C, no thunderbolt support. 2 USB-A's. Design: Subjective opinion, but I think the fabric cover is slick. Looks good to me! The blue-aluminum chassis looks fantastic. Hinge is slightly wobbly but sturdy overall.

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga 6 13 model number 82ND0002US. With regard to the touchpad, you can make adjustments to the touchpad in your system settings. You can get there by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom left of your Windows 10 screen. Type "touchpad" in the search window. Select "Mouse & touchpad settings" from the list of choices. You can make general adjustments to the touchpad there. You can also select "Additional mouse options" for more detailed adjustments to the touchpad sensitivity by increasing the delay of the touchpad. The case material of the Yoga 6 13 is: Fabric (Top), PC + ABS Plastic (Bottom). The Lenovo Yoga 6 13 ships with a 720p (HD) webcam with Privacy Shutter. If you are getting less than expected broadcast video quality, first, check to be sure that you have removed the clear plastic tape that covers the webcam lens for shipping purposes. If this shipping tape has been removed from the lens, but the broadcast video quality is still less than expected, check to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10 on the computer. Then update all BIOS files and drivers up to that latest version of Windows 10. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Lenovo Yoga 6 13, model number 82ND006QUS. Since the issue continues after Lenovo Tech Support repairs any hardware-based issue, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 11. This will included any legacy software/files installed from an old computer. Additionally, there is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. Here is a link to instructions for uninstalling McAfee from a Windows computer:  https://service.mcafee.com/?articleId=TS101331&page=shell&shell=article-view You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom of your Windows 11 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If there is no incompatible software installed, resetting the computer back to original factory settings may correct the issue you are having. Power off the computer. This system is equipped with OneKey Recovery System. There is a very small pin hole on the bottom right side of the device, right near the bottom right corner of the cooling vent on the bottom of the device. You will need a pin to push this reset button. Plug the device in. Let the battery charge for about 15 minutes. Push the reset button. The system should boot to a choice screen where you can choose "Restore To Factory Default". Select this. It will delete everything from the hard drive except the original factory install of the operating system. You will need to reinstall all programs and files after the reset. If you don't have copies of the files, try to make one before you restore by selecting "Boot to desktop" and trying to back up your files. If the problem persists after the factory reset, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support and let the Lenovo Customer Support Specialist you speak with know the software-based troubleshooting steps you have taken. Computer is great, but touchscreen is dramatic

I love this laptop, I really do, but it has its issues. I would like to start by saying that I'm a university student, and I use this laptop for schoolwork, casual gaming, and streaming. It's great for all of these purposes; when I run Minecraft, the laptop does heat up significantly, and the fan goes wild, but this is a common issue with Minecraft, and I generally can't complain because at least it doesn't lag much. The last laptop I had would've absolutely been annihilated by Minecraft. As far as schoolwork goes, having a 2-in-1 is great. For many assignments, my peers will print out homework assignments, write on them, scan them, then upload them to be graded. I can simply download mine as a PDF and write on it with my stylus (sold separately on the Lenovo website). The battery life is great. I rarely have to bring my charger with me to class, and if I do, it's only because I forgot to charge my laptop the night before. I love OneNote. Studies prove that writing notes as opposed to typing them increases retention, but having electronic copies of all of your notes is so much more convenient than lugging notebooks around for each class. OneNote means that I have everything in one place, and it's all easily accessible, and I still have the ability to write my notes by hand. Most of my textbooks live on my laptop. I only have one paper textbook because I've been able to find most of my textbooks online, and I can write on my textbooks on my computer due to the stylus 2-in-1 capabilities. I love this laptop. Ideally, it should be the perfect laptop for a student like me. Which is why I'm deeply disappointed by the touchscreen issues that I've had. I've had this laptop for nine months; I got it as a graduation present from my parents in May of my senior year of high school. I was a little disappointed that I had to purchase the pen separately, but it was fairly cheap on the Lenovo website. The tricky part was going through all of the compatibility specs on Lenovo's user-unfriendly website to make sure I was getting the right pen (to save you some tiresome searching, it's the one that's $30.99 on the Lenovo website, though it was on sale when I got it). When I got the pen, it worked well at first, but it seemed to get glitchy after the disposable AAAA battery in it got low. To prevent this, I purchased some rechargeable AAAA batteries so that the battery never even had a chance to get remotely low. This worked superbly for a short period of time before I started having issues with the entire touchscreen. It started with "phantom touches," which is when your laptop thinks you're touching your screen when you're really not. This can be problematic when you're in the middle of bio lecture trying to write and absorb everything your prof is saying, but your laptop keeps scrolling to the bottom of the page because it thinks you're touching the screen. Then, my touchscreen simply ceased to respond to the touch of my fingers. This means I can no longer fold my laptop into tablet mode to take notes; I must write my notes with my stylus with my screen upright and move around the screen with the trackpad. Additionally, there are spots on my screen where my stylus will not pick up now, which drastically slows down my note-taking. I've tried recalibrating the pen to no avail. I found a thread on Reddit suggesting a multitude of solutions for this---RED FLAG---very common problem with Lenovo products. As many of the suggestions had changed since the transition from Windows 10 to Windows 11, I was unable to navigate these solutions, so to Geek Squad I went. They were incredibly helpful and friendly. They did their best to resolve the issue but discovered that it was a hardware issue, not a software issue, and that I would need to send my laptop off for a physical screen repair. I'm nervous. I'm not sure how I ended up here. Was I not gentle enough with the screen? How do I prevent it from happening again? How long will I have to borrow my dad's laptop that doesn't have the capabilities that I need? Will they even be able to fix my laptop? I know it all might sound dramatic, but all of the work I've done at the university level is on this laptop. I use it for and during every last one of my classes. I'm incredibly reliant on it. It's less than a year old. This should NOT be happening. I'm incredibly relieved that it's still under warranty, and, if the repair is successful, I'll likely be purchasing an extension for the warranty; there's no sense in buying a new laptop when a warranty extension can extend my current laptop's lifetime. My only other complaint is that the keyboard is kind of small, but this is not factored into my star rating of this product because the dimensions are specified in the description. One of my pet peeves is when people leave one-star reviews for things that were explicitly stated in the product description. It's not hard to read a product description, and consumers shouldn't rate things poorly because they were negligent with their own purchases. Anyway, enough of that tangent. I just get frustrated sometimes. Tips for people who buy this laptop: 1. The right side USB-C port isn't broken. It works just fine but not for charging. Only the left one is connected to the battery. This is intentional, not a flaw in your device. 2. The warranty is worth it if you want this device to last. Buy that warranty and extend it. 3. Windows is so adamant on its users using Microsoft Edge so that they can get ad revenue to the point where they purposely make Google Chrome difficult to open. Mine was easily fixed when I renamed Chrome as "goggle crime." It's laughable how easy it was to trick Windows. 4. Be gentle with the touchscreen I guess? I'm not sure if that's where I went wrong, but with a device so finnicky it's best to err on the side of caution. 5. Take full advantage of OneNote and the ability to write on PDF docs! It's so great. Snip and Sketch is also great. I can screenshot a math problem on my online homework and write on the math problem itself. I'm obsessed. 6. Buy the stylus AND rechargeable AAAA batteries, and wait for the stylus to go on sale (which happens often)! The rechargeable batteries definitely improve performance. 7. The small keyboard takes a hot minute to adjust to, but your hands will eventually reposition themselves and acclimate, though I'm fairly certain that even with nine months of owning this device, my typing speed still isn't quite as high as it used to be. 8. If you currently have a laptop with 8 GB RAM and you're considering this device, you will love the 16 GB RAM. It's like going from a bicycle to a motorcycle. There's so much less crashing and lagging. 9. If you want to play any games on this laptop, maybe invest in a stand so that the fan on the bottom has some room expel the hot air without any insulation (like a lap, desk, or pillow) in its way. I'm considering buying one myself, though I haven't gamed in awhile due to schoolwork, so I'm not sure if I need it. 10. Using this laptop with AirPods can be quite finnicky, as they're not entirely compatible. If you have some corded earbuds or headphones that you like, that shouldn't be an issue. All of mine have worked fine. I haven't tried any other wireless audio devices other than AirPods. Anyway, sorry for the lengthy review. I simply hope that it was comprehensive and helpful. I really just needed to get my feelings out in light of my recent issues with the device. Best Buy is a real one though for helping me out with the issues that I've had. Y'all wish me luck with the upcoming repair attempt!

We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with the touchscreen feature of your Lenovo Yoga 6 13 model number 82ND006QUS. Resetting this Yoga 6 13 back to original factory settings may correct the issue you are having with the touchscreen. If the problem persists after the factory reset, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686. Lenovo

We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Lenovo Yoga 6 13, model number 82ND006QUS. This Yoga 6 13 will boot to the Windows Login screen in less that 20-seconds and will shutdown in less that 20-seconds. This configuration of the Yoga 6 13 ships with a Integrated 60Wh, Lithium-Polymer Battery, which within this model configuration has a battery life of up to 18 hours, depending on the work the device is performing. If you are getting shorter battery life and are experiencing slower boot times and shutdown times, be sure any software you installed is compatible with the Windows version you are currently using. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. Some tips for improving the battery life between charges of your Lenovo Yoga 6 13: Set your screen brightness at less than 100-percent - try 80-percent to start with. Then, be sure Battery Charge Threshold is turned off. This power management setting should only be used when the laptop is plugged in all the time. It will prolong overall battery life by only charging the battery to 60-percent of capacity. You can turn off Battery Charge Threshold within the Lenovo Vantage APP installed on this computer. In Vantage select Battery Settings and turn off Battery Charge Threshold, if turned on. Also check what programs are running in the background on the computer. Be sure only the programs you want running in the background are. These programs will drain the battery. Here is a link to information about how to find out what programs are running in the background on your Windows 11 computer and how to manage them for better system performance: https://websiteforstudents.com/how-to-find-what-is-running-in-windows-11/. Then, finally, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 11. Incompatible software will drain the battery at a faster rate. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key.
