A killer laptop for daily productivity
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Full disclosure, I picked this computer up during the holidays for $699, and wow - what a steal! I personally believe that any computer should be purchased at a discount whenever possible, because as consumers we should always strive to attain the best possible value for our money. Getting that out of the way, I truly feel that for someone wanting a daily workhorse that excels at most of the things people would want to use a computer for, and considering you might want one with a smaller form factor (and, thus, a smaller screen) this Yoga 6 with Ryzen 7 and 16GB RAM is just about the best purchase that can be made for under $1000 - assuming you absolutely don't want a MacOS computer (which would be someone like me). The screen is beautiful and has great overall color gamut (if a slight bit dim, but this shouldn't be too much an issue if you mostly use your laptop indoors. Besides, cranking it to near max will still get it plenty bright). Also, I was pleased to find the quality of the thankfully 16:10 panel was EXCELLENT, with terrific uniformity and brightness across the entire screen and NO light bleed at edges or corners, which is something I've *continually* run into on HP and Dell laptops and shows Lenovo's excellent quality control (something I've noticed now owning several Lenovo computers across the past several years). Beyond that, the overall build quality feels outstanding, with pleasant rounded edges all around that keep it nice and comfortable to your hand when maneuvering it around. The port selection is absolutely splendid for a device of this size, and unlike many similarly built 2-in-1, devices, it has a generous set of 2 USB-C ports, 2 USB-A ports, a headphone/mic jack, a MicroSD card slot to expand your storage greatly if desired and a lovely full-size HDMI port, which is a real bonus for when you want to get a bigger view on a display at work, or when you need to project to a larger group at a meeting or something. When it comes to input, this device has a typically outstanding Lenovo keyboard. I think that Lenovo makes the best laptop keyboard in the business, having owned multiple Legion and Thinkpad devices as well. They are just always fantastic to type on and a DEFINITE reason to own a Lenovo PC if you do a lot of creative or productivity work. There is something about the perfectly tuned stiffness and travel distance in the keys that just makes typing a more accurate and pleasant experience for me. The touchpad is also surprisingly large for a 13 inch class device and has a great texture to it, smooth and easy to glide your finger on but with just enough tactile feel to not feel too slippery. The device gets great battery life, too. I wouldn't call it top of the class, but I have tested it several times over the past few weeks using it almost constantly throughout the day doing typical browsing and productivity related tasks in balanced mode with around 60-70 percent brightness I can easily get 7-9 hours of use out of it. Using it for photo editing or video editing (which this IS capable of doing fairly well using Lightroom or DaVinci Resolve, both of which I tested and was pleased with the performance of) you WILL get less battery, around 3 or 4 hours. But, that is to be expected. That brings me to one of my only slightly negative points regarding this computer: When running this device on battery, you will notice that the processor dials itself down - even if you engage best performance mode - most likely to keep the battery life in a decent range. And for most things, this is fine. You will notice a bit more sluggishness, but never to the point where it becomes crippling and only to the point where it becomes a minor inconvenience. However, if you happen to be on the go and you don't have your charger, you may encounter that your workflow is slowed down a bit as you wait for processing time on some tasks. This is by NO means a deal breaker for me, though, and I would imagine it wouldn't be for most people. And I do want to stress that as long as you are running on AC power, this thing is a speedy beast that will tear through almost any task you might throw at it short of advanced gaming or 3D rendering. I couldn't be happier with this device as my new daily driver. I already have a Legion PC at home that I use for heavy video and photo editing and content creation in general, but I needed something to take with me to work and not let me down when I needed a bit of oomph throughout my day. The size is perfect for portability and if you keep the power mode on balanced this WILL get you through a day without having to be tethered to a power supply. At list price, this would be a decent buy, but if you can get it on sale, it's a no-brainer. This is the PC for you!

Perfect plus bonus
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the perfect laptop for me. Wanted small, lightweight, attached keyboard but foldable to tablet mode, decent memory but without overkill disk space that I don't use and don't want to pay for. And better price than I would have expected. And the other unexpected bonus is the facial recognition! I was told this didn't support it but it does!

Great Battery, average trackpad and good display.
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great Battery life. Had a few issues with the OS at the beginning but lenovo has fixed that. The track pad is not that great, considering the price but overall for 760 dollars it's a great buy. With Ryzen 7 you cannot complain about the speed

Very good, but less than desirable touchpad
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall this laptop performs well, the only complaint I have is the touch pad is far too inconsistent in terms of sensitivity. The screen is very good and speed of processor is certainly adequate for every day use. I may add a wireless mouse to replace the touchpad.

Overall Amazing battery not so much.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall this laptop is amazing small/portable great for schools, light gaming and videos. Performs great smooth and easy to use. I would of gave it a 5 star but the battery is the only thing holding it back. just using it for school with the screen at 50% i only get like 4-6 of battery of light school work. If you plan on leaving the charger on 100% a great buy but if u plan tp travel with it always bring your charger you will need it.

Posted .Hello, cavemanjuan, thank you for choosing Lenovo! In advance, this is a length response, as we wanted to address your pronouncement completely. Regarding battery life, this model Yoga 6 13 ships with an integrated 59Wh battery, having a battery life of up to 13.5 hours, depending on device settings and the work the device is performing. If you are getting substantially less battery life, first, be sure Battery Charge Threshold is turned off. This power management setting should only be used when the laptop is plugged in all the time. It will prolong overall battery life by only charging the battery to 60-80 percent of capacity. You can turn off Battery Charge Threshold within the Lenovo Vantage APP installed on this computer. In Vantage select Battery Settings and turn off Battery Charge Threshold, if turned on. Also, here is a link to a webpage that details various options for disabling background applications and processes that may be using battery: https://allthings.how/how-to-turn-off-background-apps-in-windows-11/ Upon making these changes, if the issue persists, we recommend reaching out to Lenovo Tech Support at this phone number for continued assistance: 877-453-6686. Ultimately, cavemanjuan, we appreciate you sharing your experience and are pleased to hear that the performance of your Yoga 6 meets your needs well.

Like it
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this laptop for a little over a month and its been great. There have been some small annoyances, such as the laptop constantly chiming in sleep mode when disconnecting and reconnecting from Bluetooth devices. However, I was able to turn off that specific chime. Others have complained about the touchpad, but that hasn't been an issue at all for me yet. In fact, so far I like the touchpad! If it is an issue I will update. Laptop also has good speakers, nice display, and feels solid. Battery life is adequate, but I turned on a setting so it only charges up to 60% to preserve the battery life. I get about 3 hours on pure battery in balanced mode.

Great Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great Laptop and a great price! Got it for work and also some personal use. Runs MS office flawlessly and everything is extremely fast, good battery life about 10 hours between charges doing office activities and also some video chatting. Great specs, especially for the price on an open box... I took a chance and glad I did!

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga 6 13, model number 82UD0000US. This model ships with a Integrated 59Wh, Lithium-Polymer Battery, which within this model configuration, has a battery life of up to 14 hours, depending on the work the device is performing. Some tips for expanding your battery life between charges: First, set your screen brightness at less than 100-percent - try 80-percent to start with. Then, be sure Battery Charge Threshold is turned off. This power management setting should only be used when the laptop is plugged in all the time. It will prolong overall battery life by only charging the battery to 60-percent of capacity. You can turn off Battery Charge Threshold within the Lenovo Vantage APP installed on this computer. In Vantage select Battery Settings and turn off Battery Charge Threshold, if turned on. Also check what programs are running in the background on the computer. Be sure only the programs you want running in the background are. These programs will drain the battery. Here is a link to information about how to find out what programs are running in the background on your Windows 11 computer and how to manage them for better system performance: https://websiteforstudents.com/how-to-find-what-is-running-in-windows-11/. Then, finally, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 11. Incompatible software will drain the battery at a faster rate. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom of your Windows 11 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686.
