Everything was great except for couple of features
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed: *Touch screen - Yes *Fast hard drive (SSD) - Yes *Descent RAM - Yes, 8GB *Lightweight - Yes *Windows Ink support - No Annoying issue - the right Shift key is too far to the right. Either you would have to have large hand or long fingers to get comfortable. I tried to make it work. I just couldn't. Was good laptop.

Posted .With regard to the right shift key issue you mention, there is a free software APP called KeyTweak that may help you. You can switch the key functions of specific keys on your keyboard with this software, so you could change the right shift key with the key you hit in its place. Just Google search "KeyTweak" and you will find articles about what the software does and you will find the download location for this free APP.

Lots of pros but some cons
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really wanted to love this laptop. The easiest way to break it down is by the pros/cons: —-Pros—- -Screen looks amazing, crystal clear, very uniform -Computer is light weight and portable -Extremely fast -Keyboard feels good (**See cons for a major design flaw) —-Cons—- -Touchpad was double clicking and when the case flexed I couldn’t click it down on the left side. Maybe I had a defective one? -The case seems to flex too much. And while opening the lid, it looks like someone is pressing on the bottom corners of the screen. -Battery life is no where near the MacBook Pro 13” I decided to get instead. They’re rated near the same, but I was disappointed in how long the battery lasted. -Keyboard right shift key is half the normal size. Look at the pictures, I ended up having to reprogram the up arrow to the shift key. I have no idea how this happened... —-Summary—- Overall it’s not a bad machine and I’m sure lots of people will really like it. However, I couldn’t get past the cheap feel, touchpad issues and design flaws. I’d say try it out if your not too picky and you don’t mind reprogramming your up arrow for the shift key. And if you always use an external mouse, you should be good. Hope his review helped you out a little bit, take care.

It's price worth
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As per the price of laptop, the specifications are really good. It's battery life is also good. I just once or twice faced a problem of laptop hanging on opening the Google chrome browser or else everything is perfect. That is the main reason, I gave it three stars.

Beautiful HD, not good touch pad for me
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HD screen was beautiful. That alone was tempting to keep it However, the touch pad was unusable for me. I tried and I tried. Maybe, it's because I have small hands, but I could not use it. When I tried to select or use the touch pad to head "up" or to "select" something, it just would not respond like it should, for me. I was not comfortable using it, so I had to exchange it for another brand one. The computer is lovely and beautiful, I am sure other people will like how it can be used as a tablet, you can fold it, one way or the other way. It does not have a cd-rom.

Posted .With regard to the touchpad, you can easily make adjustments to the touchpad in your system settings. You can get there by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom left of your Windows 10 screen. Type "touchpad" in the search window. Select "Mouse & touchpad settings" from the list of choices. You can make general adjustments to the touchpad there. You can also select "Additional mouse options" for more detailed adjustments to the touchpad sensitivity by increasing the delay of the touchpad.

Good for surfing and social media
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The laptop is light weight and the speed is good. The speakers are not the best for listening to music. Plugging in the headphones makes a huge difference. The sound is much better. I only have problems with one thing and that is when I am reading a book online, if I zoom the size of the print and change the page, the print drops back down to the original size which is irritating. Other than these few things it operates very well and is reliable.

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga 71-15. With regard to increasing the text size on the screen, you are correct, zooming the screen is a temporary fix. The screen will revert to its settings prior to zooming when you move to another screen/page. To make a permanent adjustment to on screen text size, right click anywhere on the Windows 10 desktop, not on a shortcut icon. Select "Display Settings" within the window that opens. You will see a slider to change the size of text on the screen. Make your adjustment here and this will be the default size for text on the screen.

Perfect except keyboard
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love everything about it. Except the keyboard. I read the reviews, thought I would adapt. Started using it, was getting better with the smaller right shift key. But it is a pain. Great screen, although it is pretty reflective. Better than the ASUS I bought online that wouldn't boot up, though... I'd highly recommend the Lenovo, but I'd get a normal keyboard. Good luck.

good computer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.do not like the location of the on button. the finger print doesn't work most of the time. key board is to small. Screen is nice. Good clarity. My biggest problem- my cannon printer (wireless) worked with this computer until recently. Now it will not print to/from it. My printer works fine with my Toshiba computer, Dell notebook, MAC computer and ipad.

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga 710-15. Concerning the fingerprint reader, there was a Windows 10 update recently that may have effected the fingerprint reader driver. Follow the link below to look for new driver updates for your specific system. You can also run diagnostics from the Lenovo site as well. As always, be sure to create a restore point on your system before you make any changes. You can do this by just typing "restore point" in the search window within Cortana and follow the link to create a restore point. Here is the link:
https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/yoga-series/yoga-710-15ikb/80v5/80v50010us/downloads?linkTrack=Caps%3ABody_SearchProduct&searchType=5&keyWordSearch=80V50010US. Regarding your printer, the Windows 10 update might have effected the printer driver as well, try re-installing the Windows 10 printer driver for your print on this device then follow the pairing procedure for your printer.

Serious issues with the hinge, DON'T BUY!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Yoga 710 served me well for four years of intensive use. I think that's as much one can expect from a laptop in this price range. That said, I count myself fortunate to have gotten that much use out of this laptop. Roughly 3.5 years in, the laptop's hinges started to peel away from the lid of the laptop, and ultimately shattered the bottom left corner of my screen. I have never dropped the laptop, and I've rarely rotated the screen. It seems to be a common issue to this model -https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-Yoga-Series-Notebooks/Yoga-710-broken-hinge/m-p/4086743?page=4. Given how serious an issue this is, I would NOT recommend purchasing this laptop.

Good basic laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The computer works good with good battery life since its a solod state drive. My son loves the windows ink, however the laptop display seems very fragile. It bends pretty easy which worries me. I am disappointed in the fact that you cant use a standard HDMI cord unless you purchase a micro HDMI to connect to an external display.

Decent laptop for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The yoga 720 is sleek and fairly lightweight. Love the large screen with minimal bezels and the battery life is great. My one qualm is the keyboard layout. It's off-center placement and weird sized auxiliary keys make for a terrible typing experience for those used to something more standard.

lightweight
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Yoga laptop is a nice and very light upgrade from my old laptop. It is easy to use, with the exception of the shift key on the right, it is a little wide for basic keyboard placement and I often miss it when typing. I would recommend for a casual user.

One thing I don't like
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The shift key that you use with your right hand isn't placed right. You hit the page up key by mistake. It is the only thing I found wrong with this model. It is a big deal though if you type a lot. I never would have chosen this if I had noticed when I bought it.

Good laptop takes some adjusting
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the touchscreen – I like the laptop overall but I rated it a three star because the shift key on the right side of the keyboard is moved and the page up he is in its place I didn't notice it when I bought it - creates havoc with my typing

be sure to buy 2 yr geek squad support
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.just bought this notebook and was really excited about it. BUT I accidentally deleted my d drive where all the driver info is "hidden" on windows 10 when trying to do the highly suggested backup upon start up. I have all sorts of computers and tablets and have never had a difficult time creating a recovery back up until now. It is very difficult to find trusted info on how to recover this....even on Lenovo's website. Thank goodness I bought the 2 yr geek squad support ...I took it in to them and now they are trying to recover it and do the backup. keeping my fingers crossed as I have not even used this computer yet!! I am not recommending right now as I have not been able to use it yet. Maybe I was just a dork deleting it...but I saw on forums that others have made same mistake, so must not just be me.

What were they thinking moving the right shift key
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The computer itself is ok. But the right shift key is way to far to the right and causes many errors and frustration. No number pad is a bad idea. Microsoft 10 is pretty awful, too. Other than that, it's fine.

Not the best
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was on sale for a reasonable price. I was looking at the 910, but read good reviews on this. Big, bulky and the screen resolution was terrible. Returned and purchased the 910.

Just OK; poor keyboard layout; Windows setup wrong
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The laptop feels solid and durable. Keyboard layout is terrible. You have to press the Fn button to be able to page up, page down, go to top, or go to bottom of a page. I've used a business-oriented Lenovo that had no problem fitting separate buttons for those things in. And, as other reviews note, the right-side Shift key is too small. And, my laptop came with Windows setup wrong--the laptop has an SSD, and Windows should be set NOT to defragment an SSD drive. But Windows was set to do defragmentation of the drive, which will prematurely wear it out. Very dissatisfied with that part of the Lenovo experience so far.

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga 710-15. Contrary to popular belief, SSDs do get fragmented, though not to an extent mechanical drives do. Don't worry, though: Windows' defragmentation of your SSD is meant to prolong your drive's life and make it run optimally. For further reassurance and the full explanation, check out the link below.

Loud fan, not that fast
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The laptop looks cool but the fan come on after approx. 5mn and it is loud and annoying and doesn't stop...Also I was expecting a faster laptop for a solid state hard drive.
No, I would not recommend this to a friendBrand response from Lenovo Product Expert
Posted .This is a high performance, ultra portable system with its Intel Core I-5-7200U processor, 8GB of RAM and a 256GB solid state hard drive. It will generate heat any time it is turned on, even at idle, this is normal. The onboard fan will maintain the optimum operating temperature of the device at all times. You will hear the fan when it runs, this too is normal. Issues that may slow your system: Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults.
