Major touchpad issues out of the box

You go to move the pointer on the screen and it is no where to be found. Only thing that brings it back is a restart. Did chat with Lenovo tech support and they even remotely took over computer. Made some changes, thought it was fixed, but within few minutes of disconnecting it disappeared again. Chatted again and they wanted me to completey reset computer. No thanks, going back to Best buy. According to many other reviews this is a common problem. Stay away from this model and the i5 version. I will be looking at another brand after I do my return.

Also, the pen and touch screen works very well with great accuracy. Compact at 12.5" and powerful, I think I want one for myself.

Great Device - Trackpad not an issue after update

No negative reviews so far except for the sleepmode issue. When the device goes into sleep mode the trackpad stops working until the device is restarted. This occured right out of the box as you will read on several reviews but this was easily fixed with an update to the BIOS from the Lenovo update software. After that never had the issue again. Running smooth for the past month.

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga 720-12. You can easily keep the operating software on this device up to date, including the BIOS and Drivers. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up.

Like size, don't like constantly losing my cursor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is first new laptop (notebook) purchase in 5 years. Last was Asus, larger, and windows 7. This is smaller and Windows 10. Love the size of this yogo, but after going to sleep, it automatically reverts to the touchscreen. I tried the F6 button alone, and with Cntrl and Fn to get the cursor back. The graphic that shows you're turning off the touchscreen appears, but you still can't find the cursor. I took to store, and that one time, cursor reappeared for them (this was one week after purchase) so I thought I was imagining things. Now, almost two months later, I find this is a constant problem and I have to shut down and restart my computer every time this happens, several times daily, to see my curser again. I don't have a mouse attached, am using the keypad cursor. There are several complaints and "fixes" for this on line and one is to completely disable the touch screen device, which I did, but then wasn't sure I wanted to, in case it was difficult to enable it again. I paid $499 for this and am very disappointed with this dysfunctionality. I'll be going to see Geek Squad and possibly sending back to Lenova or demanding money back on another notebook.

The issue you describe may be caused by a recent Windows 10 update that is effecting older BIOS/Driver software on the device. Once the BIOS/Driver software is updated, this issue should be fixed. You can do this yourself. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. SSD drive is awesome

I used it three hours straight and battery was at halfway mark. I would recommend this for anyone in school. I am learning SAS program and it handles it well. I do have a flash drive to store some important papers. Very fast and boots up quickly. Screen is clear, not overly bright like other laptops. So it doesn't hurt my eyes like other laptops. It never glitches on me. I would by another yoga with SSD as long as it lasts.

Screen sharpness is good. It was refurbished and there seemed to be a virus that was not removed and needed to have support and microsoft resolve the issue

Gets the job done

My only complaint is after the computer is woken from a sleeping state the touchpad does not work unless restarted. Luckily, majority of the times we use a USB mouse which does work.
