Versatile & portable 2-in-1 for college student

The versatility was the selling point for our college student. She has a bigger laptop but it is too bulky to lug to class. This machine has enough computing power to meet her needs and is both portable and versatile as she can use it as laptop or as a tablet. The price was right with the options needed without having to pay double the money to step up to a better laptop.

Great Little Machine

After purchase the price dropped by $100 and I missed it by a few days. Still, I felt the original price was good for what your getting. My only disappointment is that memory is only 128gb. I would have really liked 256gb.Battery life like most notebooks is not great but yet it's better then other notebooks I have had.

If you are heavily dependant on USB, it also only has 1 regular USB and 1 Type C. The speakers even at medium volume tend to have a gravelly sound. At low it's fine, but since this is for portability I use headphones instead anyway. It is INCREDIBLY lightweight, extremely portable. Battery stays at a decent charge for quite awhile.

My HP laptop was 10 years old and I really needed to upgrade to a newer model. I was shown this laptop by a Best Buy Employee. I went home and researched it a little more. I came back a week later and purchased it. I really only needed it for things I can do on my IPad. It works perfect for Microsoft Office, Photos, Music, and Citrix. I also use the paint app a lot because I have a 3 year old and it’s nice for us to practice her alphabet, numbers, animals, and just drawing. I also love the small size because then I can take it everywhere and it’s not bulky.

It will generate heat whenever it is turned on, even at idle, this is normal. The onboard fan will maintain the proper operating temperature for the device. You will hear the fan whenever it runs, this too is normal. Be sure to keep the cooling vents on the device clear for proper cooling.

Had to return device (covered under warranty) a year later. Even after the techs fixed the issue, the laptop still has an incredibly loud fan, to the point that everyone who is in the presence of this laptop asks whether I tried fixing it (the answer is yes, of course). There are other defects that surfaced mere months after buying the product (e.g. touchscreen issues) that I do not feel like going into detail about. I have been using this laptop for a little over 2 years so the main positive is that it still works. I will not buy any future Lenovo Yoga products, unfortunately.

Small in size, touchscreen, 360, but the only problem is it makes noise. The fan sound is too loud sometimes too irritating. Other than that if you are looking for cheap and functional laptop then this is the one. Would have given 5 stars but that fan noise wont let me do it. So 4 stars.

It will generate heat whenever it is turned on, even at idle, this is normal. The onboard fan will maintain the proper operating temperature for the device. You will hear the fan whenever it runs, this too is normal. You can check to be sure that you have the latest BIOS and Driver updates which may effect processor/fan performance, by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software installed on the computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. If the issue still continues after these updates, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686 for additional help.
