I purchased this computer at the recommendation of the Best Buy associate (who was awesome btw). He walked me through all the alternative options originally and we came back around to the Lenovo Yoga. This thing is amazing. From power down to start up, it takes like 20-40 seconds. The Lenovo company app walks you through everything. The processing speed is great. Tablet mode is awesome for reading my coursework online. It's lightweight and easy to take with me to school. The power lasts long and with the quick charge mode it gets me powered back up in time for classes. It was originally priced at $729 but was on sale and then beat it stacked their back to school discount on top I got it for less than $500!

Seems like a well-priced product and about my 10th Lenovo. That is until you turn it on. Really loud fan noise kept cycling on and off and that while there was no stress on the processor. I thought something was wrong with this particular unit until I started looking through the reviews. This flaw appears endemic with this model. And I love where Lenovo answers these reviews with suggestions to update the BIOS. Whatever. For $800, why should the consumer have to fix problems with his or her own new-in-box laptop? Could not return this soon enough. As always, Best Buy was great to deal with. As for this laptop: Probably only a good deal for the deaf.

Daughter was looking for a lightweight laptop for college. For the price, features, memory and overall form-factor it's a better value than others double the price. Now she's only been using it a month or so, but so far so good. The fact that it doubles as a tablet is an added bonus!

Great laptop, but few challenges with the fan noise, battery drainage when laptop is off, and use of the Lenovo Active Pen. I am trying to follow the recommendations on other reviews. I still need help figuring out the pen and how to use it effectively for several tasks.

I was shopping for a laptop for my daughter and wanted to get one that was light and easy to carry, but one that did not cost a premium in case it was dropped or stolen. This product had a quality build that I liked. It met my requirements and I got it at a very reasonable price.

This laptop or pad is fast and simple to operate .I find it very convenient for streaming movies and at the same time checking my email and other tasks . I have all the apps I need & more besides plus my Microsoft office to use for pleasure or business. An overall great machine

I purchased the Lenovo Yoga 720 for school. It works great. It has more than enough power to help me multitask while studying. It's size is also perfect for me, as I need to fit this as well as my work laptop in my briefcase. It is durable, and easy to use.

Excellent experience with this laptop. The keyboard is very comfortable to use and the screen has great colors and resolution. The laptop overall is very lightweight and thin which is convenient for travel. Highly recommend to anyone for professional use.

I like the way this laptop because it is fast at loading softwares. Thin and light construction and finish is clean and cute. I would give it five star except there was one time that the display brightness stopped working... have to go to a dark corner to be able to see the screen and I tried everything I can think of the get to go bright. The slider bar is at max brightness but the screen remained dark as it was. I finally gave up and rebooted the laptop and that somehow restored the display to normal brightness and brightness adjustment worked again too.

Coming from an Asus Transformer Book T100ta 10.1" Tablet/hybrid. I used it for 3 years and its still running strong, but really needed the screen real estate of a larger laptop. I have been on the hunt for a replacement for it for the last year, and not wanting to spend $1k+ on something has been quite interesting considering I only paid $350 for the Transformer Book and it did so many things so well. I wanted 11.6" to 12.5", but with the 13.3" category slimming down bezels it made it easier to go that size. Also needed to be 2-in-1 more for the screen placement and not the hinge. I wanted a small footprint so if in a meeting I can setup up on a table and still use a notepad if needed. I think this fits the bill. I did try out the Yoga 710 11.6" model last year, and everything purred along, until I hit the right shift key, craziest placement I had ever scene, so really like that this was fixed on newer models. I don't demand a lot from the device by why of horsepower, but its nice to know I can do some small scale video editing and desktop publishing without drastic slowdown in performance. Mostly though is research and web browsing with multiple windows and profiles open. Chrome is a hog on resources. Sound is magnificent, loud. Definite perks transitioning into a traditional laptop as speakers are place where they can be heard by the user better. Having all the internals under the keyboad though does create the heat factor, but so far I have not notice anything, which is good. I do I hear the fan kick on a lot, as others have noted in reviews, but I have not found it too loud. Any ambient sound generally is louder than it. I also use a desktop through out the day, so may not be one to comment on fan noise judging by the decibels of my desktop system that I am used too. My laptop is for traveling etc, so typically where I am is not all that quiet. Reviewers using in classroom and board meeting settings have noted the embarrassing loudness of the fan, but maybe it was a defect in their model. Fanless is the way to go, if possible, but you are hard pressed to get on that way unless you move to spend more money. I got this on sale, and looking at sticker price would not have considered it otherwise. I don't have a lot of needs, but it seems what is considered low-end to mid-range these days is quite steep and the hardware quite varied.

This computer was purchased for my wife, she is working on her PhD. She wanted one that was light and fast. We went to Best Buy and the sales associate spent about an hour with us. This was the best experience we ever had buying a computer.

This laptop is great. First is the size - very portable, very lightweight. Works like a charm, and screen is crystal clear. If you want to use it as a tablet, you can it back on itself. Very handy. All in all am very happy with this Lenovo.

I love this purchase. It's so convenient and light to carry around. I also get a lot of compliments about the design from my classmates and everyone says they can't get enough of how I can just turn it 360 degree. Great device for movies when you just want to be lazy and watch things from your bed. The keyboard typing is also super smooth. I also love the fingerprint feature. Overall, this is a very unique window laptop and I can't get enough of it. The only cons would be the lack of HDMI port, but most laptops nowadays just don't have it anymore.

This 13 inch laptop packs quite a wallop! It features nice options such as a touch screen and an SSD drive with great video and graphics! All I could ask for in a very portable and super lightweight package at a truly affordable price

My son had an ASUS that was just too heavy to carry and too big to easily maneuver in some of the classrooms. This new laptop is working beautifully, and with the faster speed, he is getting more done, more quickly between classes.

The YOGA is not only a beautiful machine but it also packs in some great power. If you add another 8GB of RAM for 16GB total this will be an even greater powerhouse. The display resolution is spectacular. The thin design is very sleek and the overall package gorgeous. My only gripe is that it has ONE regular USB port. The YOGA is a proponent of USB-C of which there are 3. I think this was a design choice to keep the overall size thin but it's not a great thing if you haven't migrated to the new USB format.

I purchased for my daughter to use for school. It is pretty fast and was decently priced. All other machines we have are Mac. But due to the compatibility with school programs we had to buy a windows machine to make it easier.

I compared the MacBook, iPad, and Surface Pro with the Lenovo Yoga before buying. I currently have a Mac but felt that the features and price of the Lenovo we're better- I have the functionality of a tablet and laptop in one!

This computer is awesome. I’m not computer savvy but for work I had to get it. Few days later my son wanted to play with it so I put it in tablet mode and told him it was touch screen. Over all really cool laptop

I've had the laptop for a couple of weeks. I really like the speed and the ability to multi-task. It is very sturdy and flexible. The screen is smaller than I expected and could have been larger. Otherwise great!
