We have had numerous problems with the internet connection. Have had to take it back several times to try to locate the problem. We have always had apple products and would not recommend this one if you have a choice of products.

After about a week with this laptop, I must say that I'm pretty attached to it due to it's speed and design. However, one of the biggest headaches of this laptop is its wifi card. The wifi connection constantly drops in and out. I have tried updating the driver, reinstalling it, doing to changes based on Lenovo's suggestion and no cigar. I will probably end up returning this if I cannot figure it out. I have also noticed a bunch of OPEN BOX version from best buy pop up on eBay and their website. I may see if I can snag one of these for a better price if I feel confident in my ability to fix the wifi problem.

I bought this laptop mainly for taking notes but this is not a convenient laptop for that. The screen takes too much time to adjust to rotation. Also, best buy is not supportive in taking the product back. I requested best buy to take this back and I shall buy surface pro 4 using the store credit but they did not help me saying that I have not returned in 15 days. Is is possible to understand the performance in 15 days?? I don't want my money back, just that they take it and I buy another laptop using that store credit. @bestbuy please resolve this issue........

    Good PC for Price

I am posting this review because I searched the internet for weeks before finally purchasing this laptop and feel like they don't get reviewed enough. I am not a tech guru so I am reviewing this as a technologically uneducated consumer. I originally purchased the 15.5" Lenovo Yoga 710 but had a problem with the space bar sticking, just one day after I took it out of the box. Best Buy was very understanding and helpful in letting me return that laptop and exchanging it for this one. (One other thing about the 710, it only has half of a right shift key which drove me nuts so pay attention to the details while shopping!) This laptop (720) has a standard sized shift key. I have not owned a laptop in a few years so it's been a bit of a transition as far as keystrokes, etc compared to a desk top PC. But as far as I can tell, only having this laptop for a week, it runs very smoothly and the start-up is QUICK! This is the first PC I have used with Windows 10 but so far I like it- it's just different from what I'm used to. The touch screen is very responsive, as is the touch pad. The 2-in-1 feature is nice and works fine but I doubt I'll be using this in tablet mode much just because that's not what I bought it for. I purchased this to be able to take to class easily which brings up portability. It is very compact, thin and lightweight! I can't believe how much you can cram into something so small! I tested out the battery-life on purpose today in order to review properly and am happy to say that my computer has been running and being actively used for 8 hours and I just got the notification that I had low power and needed to plug up! I would also like to add that this laptop does, indeed, have a back-lit keyboard just like the rest of the Lenovo Brand laptops. I keep seeing complaints that this one and the 710 do not have back-lit keyboards but it is a feature that you can turn off and on by pressing the Fn key and space bar at the same time. I'm only giving this product 4 stars instead of 5 because I have only had it for a short time and am not sure how I will feel later down the road, but first impressions speak volumes and so far, it's good!

    Hands Down, A Phenomenal Laptop

Lenovo has really stepped up their game with this one! I did my research among the various 2-in-1 laptops, tablets, and "Surface-like" options out there. With that said, I took a huge gamble buying this model before solid user reviews came through (quite unlike me). So far, I have been pleased with the purchase and the laptop has met all my expectations. I am a young professional and had been looking for something with enough gusto and versatility to get me through the day. Battery life is even better than I expected. Last week, I recorded a lecture for 6 hours, while taking notes and had 50% battery leftover. Pretty impressive. This thing can do a lot. It's almost freaky the first time you flip it around backwards into tablet mode. The hinge feels stable and well-built, seemingly able to hold the laptop in any position. I particularly like to use it as a tablet stand with the keyboard rotated underneath. It's super portable and just the right size to carry around. Previous issues with the Yoga 710 seem to have been resolved with this model. The keyboard is excellent - they have corrected the previous design flaw with the improperly placed shift key. Typing is smooth and responsive, which rivals my old Macbook Pro. Fan noise is also not an issue with this version, so don't let that hold you back. If you're in the market for a new laptop, give this one a try. I think you'll be just as impressed!

I have had my computer for over 15, but less than 30 days. My keyboard has stopped working. Best Buy would not warranty the product due to the time that I have had it (less than 30 days). I have been on the phone with Lenovo for over 2 hours & I am getting the run-around. I want a refund ASAP & I will NEVER purchase this brand again!

This keyboard issue you describe may be due to a recent Windows 10 automatic update. This system is equipped with OneKey Recovery System. There is a very small pin hole on the left side of the device, right near the headphone jack on the device. You will need a pin to push this reset button. Plug the device in. Let the battery charge for about 15 minutes. Push the reset button. The system should boot to a choice screen where you can choose "Restore To Factory Default". Select this. It will delete everything from the hard drive except the original factory install of the operating system. You will need to reinstall all programs and files after the reset. If you don't have copies of the files, try to make one before you restore by selecting "Boot to desktop" and trying to back up your files. lenovo

For the past few weeks, I've gone into multiple Best Buy stores testing 13" laptops. I bought and returned the HP Spectre because it got so hot that I was afraid it would burn out. The Dell XPS was too expensive and reviews of customer support were troubling. Many others of this size were heavy or had low sound. The new Lenovo 720 was just advertised and not even available on Lenovo's site. The price was great and I have some positive experience with the brand. My favorite aspects of this laptop are 1) light weight 2) lighted keyboard 3) Touch screen with support for Wacom pen 4) stayed cool 5) fast processor. Met and exceeded my expectations and blows away the competition!

Excellent laptop. I bought and used many laptops during the last years. This in particular is the best acquisition I have ever made. Good speed, excellent screen and sound. Easy to reset. Does the job, but has some big issues

I have had this computer for four weeks. In that time period, I've had to get it exchanged and have had similar issues with the second one. I am a student, and this computer is enough to get the job done, but I have doubts about its quality. Pros: 1. Very lightweight and easy to carry around! 2. I haven't had any problems using a Wacom Bamboo Ink stylus for handwriting. 3. Fairly quiet most of the time. Fan noise seems to have been a problem for other reviewers, but has not been a huge problem for me. Even when the fans run, they do not run loudly or with a loud whir. The only time they were loud was when I was initially setting the system. 4. The computer stays cool to the touch at all times. The only exception is one spot on bottom bezel of the screen near the right hinge, which heats up when I am using a higher brightness. 5. When it works, the system runs smoothly. 6. Trackpad is one of the better ones I've used. 7. Lenovo's Battery Stretch feature is extremely nice. In three weeks, I have only had one full charge cycle while using battery power fairly frequently. The setup was really easy and this feature is working very well. 8. Paper display is also a nice touch since i use this laptop for notes. Cons: 1. I have had to reset the first computer I received within a week of owning it, and will reset the second one soon within 3 weeks of owning it. The system has random glitches that do not exist in my other Windows 10 machines (one Lenovo, one Dell, and one MSi).. 2. Speaking of glitches... I am not using this computer as a power user with dozens of tabs open in my browser or anything like that. There have been several times where I will have one YouTube video running and the entire system will freeze. Audio gets distorted and lags, and the entire system stutters for a few seconds before returning to normal. This has happened on both of the machines i received, and it also persisted between complete resets on the first machine (I haven't tried on the second yet). CPU is not maxed out according to Task Manager, nor is RAM, nor is there any disk usage, but the entire system becomes sluggish for a few seconds. I don't understand why this happens, but it happens very consistently and has occurred across multiple browsers. A new machine shouldn't be reacting like this. 3. I have noticed some general lag with the rest of the system as well. Most of time time, the system runs buttery smooth, but there are definite times where everything slows down for some unknown reason. 4. The computer struggles to play games (makes sense, it's not a gaming computer). I used League of Legends to check its performance and found very little difference in frames per second between medium-high graphics and ultra low graphics (the lowest settings gained only up to 4 FPS). This would suggest that the HD Graphics is capable of higher FPS, but can't perform for some unknown reason. Intel Graphics is set to Maximum Performance and neither CPU usage nor RAM are maxed out, so the system must throttling the game somehow. Though this is not a critical issue, it seems odd that machine actually sometimes has fewer FPS than a seven year old Intel Core 2 Duo Macbook Pro (no dedicated graphics card). I will keep this computer because my return/exchange period has passed. However, I hesitate to recommend it for the above issues. It is good enough to write notes on using OneNote, but in my use it consistently struggles to perform some simple tasks like playing a YouTube video..

Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. This sounds like installed programs are conflicting with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. lenovo

Let me first say that I never write reviews. Actually this is my first review I think I have ever written, but I always read every review I can find before making a purchase. I just graduated college and found that it was time to replace my old macbook pro that I have had for 7 years before I start law school this fall. While I love Apple products, I wasn't interested in spending gobbs of money for another Macbook. So the Lenovo Yoga 720 is what I left bestbuy with. Build Quality/Hinge: I have to say that the build quality is phenomenal and the hinge that Lenovo has created for this laptop is in my opinion the best in the market. Display/Sound: The screen is very vibrant and has great colors. The sound is also excellent. Keyboard: Keyboard is fantastic, and somewhat reminds me of the macbook keyboard which I love. Battery: This one is less than stellar. Not terrible but not great either. You should be able to get at least 6 hours out of it but it is not a game changer. Fan Noise: I read a lot of complaints about this in my research about it being really loud and obnoxious. Let me clarify, it is hardly noticeable. It rarely comes on, but it really isn't loud when it is on either. My old Macbook would wind up like a typhoon if you so much as looked at it. This laptop really isn't that noisy. Maybe louder than some, but not enough to get in a twist about it. Concluding thoughts: I really think that this is a solid laptop that can serve many people well. However, all of this being said, I returned the laptop and am writing this on the ASUS 325ua. The Lenovo is a great laptop and had many great features. However, the better processor, double the ram and SSD was too good of a deal for me to pass up with the trade in value of my Macbook. Anyways, this is a highly versatile, lightweight, powerful laptop and tablet that has a great price point. However, for me, I felt that I would benefit more with a laptop that had more processing power and memory. I hope this review helps for those who are on the fence about this laptop and are looking for a solid laptop for the price.
