Wonderful except for recent problem

Quick start up time and fast processing of tasks as well as no bloatware pre-installed on my new pc was very impressive. I was pretty content for the first 2 months I owned this. I started to develop a random freeze which turns into a black screen issue, which then requires me to power down with the power button. I can't even get task manager to come up. I still have not managed to figure out what that problem is. If it wasn't for this latest issue I would be very happy with this purchase. I only gave it 4 star because of the lack of ports available and this latest issue. Otherwise seems to be a very solid laptop.

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga 720-15. Since the device was working well for 2 months, there may be an issue with a Windows 10 update. This system is equipped with OneKey Recovery System. There is a very small pin hole on the left side of the device, right near the headphone jack on the device. You will need a pin to push this reset button. Plug the device in. Let the battery charge for about 15 minutes. Push the reset button. The system should boot to a choice screen where you can choose "Restore To Factory Default". Select this. It will delete everything from the hard drive except the original factory install of the operating system. You will need to reinstall all programs and files after the reset. If you don't have copies of the files, try to make one before you restore by selecting "Boot to desktop" and trying to back up your files.

Concerning the number of USB ports, this is an ultra portable configuration, so there will be a minimum of ports available. If you need more USB ports, you may want to consider using a USB hub with this device.

The Yoga 720 met all the requirements for the engineering and pharmacy programs. They love the speed, touch screen, fingerprint login and the touch pen for easy note taking. It's also pretty light-weight for its size. The screen looks fantastic.

OK, not excited that it didn't come with pointer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven't had any problems necessarily but I was not happy that the laptop, though made for touch screen did not come with the pointer...the doesn't even make sense. It is heavier than I'd been looking for but dealing with that. The only real problem I've had was that the fingerprint scanner quit working because the computer did an automatic update on data and wiped out the scans I'd entered. Irritating and somebody goofed there but I re-scanned my fingerprint and it works now.

Posted .You are correct, this model does not come with an active pen. The pen is sold separately and is not necessary to use the touchscreen on the device.
