I've had this laptop now for about 9 months. I LOVE the 4K screen. It's super crisp and makes watching movies on a small screen like this all the more enjoyable. The form factor lends itself to travel and business use cases, but I use mine solely for personal use.
The hardware is top notch. Boot up time is blazing fast (< 25 seconds), and wake up time is under 5 seconds. Having the fingerprint reader makes bio metric sign in a breeze.
I haven't used the stylus much except to confirm that it works and to test some doodling in MS Paint. It makes me want to get a nice drawing/painting app like Corel Painter and really put it to the test.
As a home user for this machine I really appreciate the speed and power the i7 CPU and 16GB RAM bring, plus the 512GB SSD is enough for my photos, videos, and applications. I haven't tried gaming on it yet because I have another Lenovo product (Legion Y540 with GTX 1650 and 1TB SSD) for that use case.
The 2 in 1 capability has also helped out with things like cooking meals. I can switch it to tablet mode, fold it over like a tent, and have my recipe easily visible while taking up less counter space (and removing the risk of splatter into the keyboard!).
All in all I'd say there are no known cons and many, many pros to this laptop. I've been watching the Yoga product line, and its successors may add more storage and a newer generation CPU, but if you can find one of these the price will almost certainly be better and you'll have plenty of power for almost any use case (designers, developers, even gamers).

The 4k screen is incredible, and bright enough for my purposes. I immediately did all of the OS and system updates and so far have not experienced any of the WiFi issues others have reported. Boots fast (but I've seem faster, might get a new NVMe at some point). Fingerprint reader is consistently good at logging me in, one of my favorite features. I still need to clean out some of the bloatware, but it's not been overly noticeable. Battery will go 4-5 hours with moderately heavy use, but will go longer if causally browsing, etc. Disappointed the USB-C Thunderbolt does not support (input) changing. I haven't tried the other way (charging something using the laptop as power source). Actually glad it does not have a number pad on the keyboard, so I can keep my hands centered on the laptop. Overall, moderately happy with purchase - good deal at around twelve hundred for all the features.

I had already expected a lot of the issues from the laptop and planned to fix it myself. The laptop build quality is great, and honestly better than expected from the other reviews but the WiFi is still a prominent issue. I replaced the card myself and haven't dealt with any issues since then. High recommend to replace with Intel AC 9960 as soon as you get it.

We are sorry to hear that you had issues with WiFi connectivity with your Lenovo Yoga 730-15 4K model. We recommend you install the latest version of Windows 10 on the computer, then update all of the BIOS Files and Drivers, including those controlling WiFi, up to that latest version of Windows 10. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software installed on the computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. If the issue still continues after these updates, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686 for additional help. Please keep in mind, This model is not user upgradable. A certified technician must do all of the work, so as to not void the warranty.

I love the touch screen, that’s why I got it. I would have gotten a MacBook but Apple thinks that Touch Bar thing actually any good. Lame. The main thing I’d improve for this laptop is having a keypad section at the right if the keyboard, not a huge fan of only having a number row, but I guess they couldn’t fit in for a laptop this size. Also the screen flickers when there’s a larger contrast in an image that’s completely white in one portion and black next to it. It tries to auto adjust brightness and is kind of annoying. Despite these minor inconveniences, it’s still a great machine; love the performance and quality.

Purchased this laptop for my college son and it appears to manage high graphic software well. It does have a 4GB video card. Purchased this same laptop for my other son who just graduated from college and is also doing some high graphic modeling with Rhino software and it appears to managing it well. The fan seems to run quite a bit during the software runs but performance has been good. I typically purchase Dell products for my business and have not purchased Lenovo before. So far it appears to meet expectations.

We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with an arrow key on your Lenovo Yoga 730-15 4K model. First, be sure there is nothing trapped under the key blocking it. You might try using some canned air to clean around the effected key. Second, if that does not fix the issue, be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10 on the computer. Then update all of the BIOS files and drivers for that version of Windows 10. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software installed on the computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. I want to love this laptop, especially given the price, but it has issues. Drops wifi approximately every 10 minutes even when phone and my mac are still connected. Also, the battery life is not good -- last about two hours tops. Due to the wifi issue, I haven't even tried gaming with it, even though that's one primary reason I bought this laptop (the other reason being the Dell I wanted was not in stock). Overall, I'm disappointed with this laptop and filled with regret that I didn't wait for the Dell and that I'm beyond the 15 day return window.

I am very pleased with this laptop. The 4K resolution is so sharp that, even though the text is smaller, it's easier to read.
I do have a big problem with the ports. If you're thinking of buing this because of the Thundrbolt 3 port, don't. Lenovo has no compatible hub/docking station. The only docking station that they have is a USB C docking station. I was told by support that the Thunderbolt 3 port is only useful as a Display Port (with an adapter, of course).
The laptop boots extremely fast. The touch screen is useful and speeds up navigation (don't have to move the mouse).
I would have given this 5 stars except for the issue with the Thunderbolt port which is very disappointing.

Computer looks new, powered up and set up good. Only problem is that the wifi doesn't connect up quickly (sometimes not at all) and drops wifi connection. Read on the other reviews this seems normal for this computer. Tried to do all of the updates and doesn't help. I have also a Lenovo 710 laptop that wifi connects up as soon a computer boots up, very similar computers only newer one has wifi problems.

Getting this Lenovo marks my return to a Windows machine after more than 10 years of exclusive Mac use. It's also my first Lenovo product, opting for the first time not to get an HP laptop. It's a beautifully machined product with an all-metal chassis, backlit chiclet keys, and strong hinges that reduce the amount of bounce when using the touch screen. Windows 10 is beautiful. I'm re-acclimating to the environment, so I don't have much to say there. But between the hardware with touch screen, Bamboo pen and the slick look of Win10, this feels like a thoroughly modern computer compared to Apple products which seem a little stuck both in time and design dogma.

This laptop easily outshines the Dell XPS 15 9560 I purchased last year - including sale prices. It's fast, quiet, sleek, and the touchpad is in the right place for the kind of gaming I like. I actually can't believe the sale price has dropped even lower since I bought mine. Right now this incredible device can be picked up for $1k, and it has a 4k IPS display! I bought this laptop because I teach online. I need a good webcam, fast processor, and decent memory for my job. I had to get the wireless card replaced. There is a known issue with the one that comes with the machine. It was constantly dropping the WiFi when no other devices in my house were. Also, I had to have the webcam fixed due to a hardware issue. I had to have it sent out for over a week to get this done. I love it now.... but I should not have had to do this much to a laptop this expensive.

Fantastic screen. Very fast. Okay keyboard.
I had to make a slight tweak to the battery saving settings to stop the laptop from dropping off the wifi frequently.
The only other problem I'm pretty sure it was related to the software, not the hardware. I was having a hard time getting a game to use the dedicated GPU instead of the integrated one, but I found a windows setting that fixed it.

I'm a simple student, everyday I use my computer to use applications such as Word Docs, OneNote, Spotify, Netflix... you know, the college basics. And hey, i'm human too. I have hobbies like photography, editing and creating film using apps such as Lightroom and Photoshop. The slim design of this computer lets me take it anywhere, and the flip design.. GENIUS!
THIS COMPUTER PERFORMS WONDERFULLY.. when it wants to.
I've had issues with freezing since the day i purchased this Lenovo. I'm gonna give examples.
issue: I was doodling with a bamboo ink pen. The most simplest task to human kind, one that even a toddler can perform, and this Lenovo freezes up. It wasn't even a complex design, no shading just lines.
issue: transferring data from the lenovo to a flash drive (even moving files). what kind of data you may ask? 1 Word Doc, we're not even talking gigabytes. I always give my computers a couple minutes to boot up, regardless of what it is. SSD is supposed to improve boot up speed... so why after booting up my lenovo, does it freeze up on me? THAT COST ME -10 POINTS because my paper was due 4 minutes late... out of a 100pt paper.
issue: (WARNING: normal folk may not understand this language)
In Lightroom, I make basic exposure adjustments. I rename files, create files, import, export, and convert files, so i understand if my computer wants to act up. But according to LR's minimum requirements, my computer surpasses those. So why is that a simple action of changing my exposure freezes my lenovo and sets me back 10 minutes before things start to work fine.
Also its worth noting that when i use applications like lightroom, i make sure no other app is open so that i get the best performance. This issue has occurred countless times on Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere, Bridge.
Those are JUST freezing issues! PEN ISSUES Don't even get me started on trying to use the pen without your hand making the whole page flip out (yes, I've gone into pen settings). Or the KEYBOARD ISSUES, Do you know how many times i pressed P and [project] option pops up?? SCREEN ISSUES, I turned OFF the "change brightness automatically when lighting changes" but every time i set the brightness to full, i see the screen changing from a white tint to yellow and blue tint. A SERIOUS NO NO when it comes to photo editing.
I run diagnostics constantly, but no problems.
Geek Squad ran diagnostics, but no problems.
I contacted lenovo, waited 30 minutes, and they told me to call.
I've updated my drivers and everything else.
I don't know what it is. I got the 3 year protection plan but that only cover accidents. I'm too far outside the return policy to even take this back. I'm stuck paying for a machine that's lost all its value to me. I need help but no one can help me. At least maybe this can help you.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Lenovo Yoga 730-15 4K Model. From the description you provide of the issues you are experiencing, it sounds like there is incompatible software installed on the computer. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686
