Great Laptop for a First-Time College Student

It is very ecnomical, has a sleek design, and definitely serves the purpose. Works very fast and multiple applications can be used simultaneously without hindering its speed and performance. It also comes with a month trial for McCafee security software, which is great. My favorite part would be the 2-in-1 part, where if you simply fold the screen over, you have a tablet that can act as a stand or be handheld. Great product and definitely recommend!

This is a great 2 in 1 laptop!! The touch screen is very responsive! The Jbl audio is great! The finger print is responsive. The most important thing I love about this laptop is that it is fast. Its quick to turn on and off and everything runs smoothly. The laptop feels very expensive.! For the price I would recommend this to anyone. The only thing I did not like about the laptop is the keyboard. I felt like the format of the keyboard is different. I have to look sometimes to see if I'm typing correctly. I haven't had any issues about the screen. I made sure I updated the laptop and bought a case for protection.

Great laptop for general use.

It is super lightweight, folding back into a tablet is great but it takes a little getting used to especially feeling the keyboard under your hand/arm. The finger print reader seems to not read me more often then not but that might be user error on my part. This laptop has also done a great job with photo editing. Haven’t tried any heavy processing with it but for general use. Which is what most computer users do, it is great.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My new Lenovo Yoga is extremely fast on start up and processing any tasks I have thrown at it so far. It has the ability to be used as a tablet, although I have not used it as such yet. Not sure that is something I will do, but the option to do so is nice. It is very thin and lite compared to my previous laptop. It also didn't come with the bloatware that the other one had included. The SSD drive makes almost every task very fast, but the trade off is that I have to get used to the smaller storage space. But with external hard drives being very reasonable, this is not too big of a deal. About the only negative I can think of is that I wish it had more than 2 USB outlets. By using a wireless mouse, it takes up one port, leaving only one other USB. That can be remedied with a USB hub, but it is a slight inconvenience. It does have a HDMI and a Thunderbolt 3 USB-C port, but as of now, I do not have anything that runs through USB-C. I also, kind of miss the CD/DVD optical drive option, but, that seems to be the way the industry is heading. As for battery life, I usually use it plugged in and haven't tried it very long on just battery. I have used it for a couple of hours and it performed well surfing the internet and watching videos, and still showed about 65% remaining battery life. But, I'm not sure how that equates with what most users may need when away from AC power. Overall, I love this unit, and would recommend it highly.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After being an HP guy for years and experimenting with many brands I purchased both a Yoga 720 and 730 a couple of months apart after having two hard drive failures on new HP Envy 360's. Love these machines. Fast, quiet, and built like computers used to be built. From the all aluminum chassis to the electronic hard drive I couldn't be happier. The only thing I have any complaints about is the 730 is sometimes slow to pick up the internet after signing in even on my home network.

This can easily be accomplished by scanning the device with the Lenovo Utility software that is installed on the computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. Battery is good charges super fast too. Touch is good but make sure u get the lenovo active pen 2 so u can use the pen features. ( it will not work with the surface pen). Best buy does not sell the active pej 2 u have to get it from lenovo.com. Thats the only issue i had with it. But everything works perfectly oh and its a very quiet laptop.

This Lenovo unit runs rings around the Mac. It is not only faster but it is easier to use. The touch screen feature works great. All this for under $1000 makes it quite a bargain.

It is a good size, not too heavy, and the fact that it is able to fold up to 360 degrees makes it very convenient for how ever I want to use it. Its nice that I can use it either in tablet mode to use with with a stylus or simply as a laptop. The SSD makes this laptop be able to boot up quickly and overall the laptop is fast.

Battery life is decent with the amount that I run (lasts about 4 hours) but the charging is quick (about 1.5 hours) so I’m not bothered by it Touchscreen is very responsive. The touch print to unlock my laptop does not work but I don’t really like using this feature either way

To maximize battery life, first adjust your battery saver settings. Battery life is pretty good, picture is excellent, touch screen works great. My only down side is I always hit the mouse to far to the right on the pad and it is always opening a drop down. Sometimes I wish the buttons for the mouse were separate. Otherwise great laptop.

You can get there by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom left of your Windows 10 screen. Type "touchpad" in the search window. Select "Mouse & touchpad settings" from the list of choices. You can make general adjustments to the touchpad there. You can also select "Additional mouse options" for more detailed adjustments to the touchpad sensitivity by increasing the delay of the touchpad.

The problem we have had is it won't maintain the WiFi connection. If you are not constantly browsing it drops the connection. If you take time to read an article then try to go to the next item you have to reconnect. I have looked for driver upgrades and nothing is there for this machine. On the positive it is lightweight and response time is quick. Battery life is real good. have used it for several hours and the battery is till over 50% Start up is really fast. Have no other problems with the computer other than the WiFi. I would not recommend this until they get the WiFi connection problem fixed. In looking at the reviews it seems to be a prevailing problem.

This Leveno is power paced in performance and really the best for value. Highly satisfyed!!! I would definitely recommend this laptop even for those who work remotely as I do - over 8 hrs daily.

Good laptop with slight QA issue
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My wife wanted a 15” touchscreen laptop and this was the best deal (student sale special) that met those criteria and mine (16 GB RAM, at least 256 GB storage). The first one we received had some sort of short in the display and it would blink off and on. When we returned it, the Geek Squad person that looked at it said it was the second one like that. Second one has been working fine. You should catch the display issue in time to return it or certainly before the warranty ends. So although it might be inconvenient if you get a bad one, should notice and resolve it quickly. Happy with the purchase and would buy another if I had similar need.
