I was unsure whether I needed it not as laptop was for work and they provided office 365. I made an appointment to convert some files from old laptop to new. Showed up at appointment to be told technicians were not in and that I would have to leave laptops, both, for 3-5 business days. Data file transfers take minutes not days. Your service sucks.

First video courses and the speakers were crackling. Tried to mitigate by installing new drivers and still cracking. Then replaced it with the same computer and speakers crackling again, battery like MAYBE 2 hours and charging adapter gets boiling hot

With your battery, thankfully there a lot of ways to manipulate battery life. This Yoga 7i 16 is an Intel EVO certified laptop that is designed to give you 9 hours of real-world battery life. By changing setting such as keyboard backlighting, screen brightness, background applications and processes – these all can extend your battery life. Regarding battery life, this model Yoga 7 ships with an integrated 71Wh battery, which within this model configuration, has a battery life of up to 11 hours, depending on device settings and the work the device is performing. If you are getting substantially less battery life, first, set your screen brightness at less than 100-percent - try 80-percent to start with. Then, be sure Battery Charge Threshold is turned off. This power management setting should only be used when the laptop is plugged in all the time. It will prolong overall battery life by only charging the battery to 60-80 percent of capacity. You can turn off Battery Charge Threshold within the Lenovo Vantage APP installed on this computer. In Vantage select Battery Settings and turn off Battery Charge Threshold, if turned on.
