Thank you for choosing the Intel Evo-Certified, Lenovo Yoga 7i 16, model number 82UF0000US. This model configuration ships with Intel Evo-Certified, All-Day-Battery-Life, thanks to its Integrated 99.99Wh, Lithium-Polymer Battery, which within this model configuration, has a battery life of up to 10 hours, depending on the work the device is performing. If you are getting substantially less battery life first, set your screen brightness at less than 100-percent - try 80-percent to start with. Then, be sure Battery Charge Threshold is turned off. This power management setting should only be used when the laptop is plugged in all the time. It will prolong overall battery life by only charging the battery to 60-percent of capacity. You can turn off Battery Charge Threshold within the Lenovo Vantage APP installed on this computer. In Vantage select Battery Settings and turn off Battery Charge Threshold, if turned on. Also check what programs are running in the background on the computer. Be sure only the programs you want running in the background are. These programs will drain the battery. Here is a link to information about how to find out what programs are running in the background on your Windows 11 computer and how to manage them for better system performance: https://websiteforstudents.com/how-to-find-what-is-running-in-windows-11/. Then, finally, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 11. Incompatible software will drain the battery at a faster rate. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom of your Windows 11 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686. Lenovo

Not a PC guy, but real nice laptop

I am an Apple guy, have been since 2002 and continue to be, with the exception of a monster PC I built to play Half Life: Alyx on the Valve Index. In testing the Intel Lenovo Yoga 7i 16, I surprisingly found myself not only _not_ hating it, but actually enjoying it. The problem with most PCs is they don't _feel_ good when you're using them. That's one of the big differentiators between a PC and a Mac... the Mac just fades away as you do whatever it is you're doing... it's like a screwdriver. Sure you're using a screwdriver, but what you're really doing is screwing in a screw. Thats a Mac. PCs, you're always acutely aware of the machine in front of you, because it so often becomes an obstacle to your success. Either the trackpad feels weird, or the keyboard is some random size ratio, or the angles of the machine lead you to a place of discomfort, or it's wildly bulky, or the power plug sticks out in a weird way.... always something. This Lenovo didn't feel that way. As a laptop, perfectly adequate for most tasks and multitasking. As a convertible tablet-thing? Awesome. First time using one where it felt iPad-esque in terms of responsiveness and UX. To break down this laptop into categories: Battery life was good by current day's standards. In normal usage of web browsing, watching a few youtube videos, dealing with documents and email, I got probably 10+ hours of use before I was below 10%. I noticed when I fired up Team Fortress 2 that the battery dipped faster as expected, but I think I could've played TF2 for 6 hours on a charge if I pushed it... or at least 4 at full brightness. Speaking of graphics, I was initially disappointed that this model has an integrated graphics chip, but those integrated graphics have gotten so good that I didn't even notice it, and I'm sure it helps immensely with battery life. All settings for TF2 were at high with no noticeable issues. I realize this game is from 2012, but I would assume that as long as you aren't running something huge and crazy at max graphics, this is more than suitable for any casual gaming one might want to do. No issues with multiple applications or having 20 odd windows open simultaneously. Also it handled my 49" curved diagonal gaming monitor with ease. In terms of typical usage, I am the type who has email, music, pictures, chrome with 20 tabs, WhatsApp, and probably some options trading docs open constantly. I feel the trackpad and keyboard are top notch. The screen looks great, and has no discernible fingerprints left over from tablet mode when you're using it like a traditional laptop. I am sure they're there, but you don't feel like you're staring through them constantly like you would on an Apple laptop display (which you should never touch.) For my use case, this laptop fit beautifully. Editing pictures was fine, though I haven't gotten too deep into that yet. Same for videos. I expect I will still go to my Mac laptop for these tasks, if only for the familiarity of the software over there. Connectivity-wise, it worked as expected. I have a WiFi 6 router, and it was able to find and connect to it without issue. Security-wise, the fingerprint reader worked as well as Touch ID would on an iPhone. Weight-wise, its a chonky boi, but the big screen, convertible nature, great battery life, and above average performance more than justify the weight of the machine. Port-wise, the USB-C charger and power brick continue to be an awkward eyesore, but some things never change. I would have appreciated a USB-C port on each side, to accompany the dual USB-A ports. The HDMI and USB-C are on the left of the machine; I would have preferred them on the right, but such is life. It does have some garbage bloatware, I should be knocking off 1 star for that.

This laptop/tablet combo that Lenovo made truly changed the way I use my laptop in many positive ways. The touch screen and foldable features truly allow me to be on the go and use it in ways more quickly than ever before. Sometimes being on a couch or another area makes using a mouse difficult but being able to touch the screen is a huge win. In terms of battery life and overall performance I was able to play games on my computer with no hindrance. I like to play games on high settings and also have a browser open but the SSD seems to really be able to hold up alongside all the other components. I also have an apple ipad and this makes me think about selling my iPad since it can go way more and have the ability to be a laptop on a bigger screen rather than just an Ipad. It is far better and easier to use rather than trying to use a small ipad where it hurts my neck most times to try to use my ipad like a laptop. One of the few negatives is that it can get slightly hot so I can’t keep it on my body or in certain positions very long like a tablet can. However, the flexibility and positives noted above make it worth this tradeoff. I typically use my PC for games, work, and browsing and this met all my needs so I am happy. It connected right to my Wifi with no issues and the setup was a breeze. I would recommend this to all of my family and friends as well and thoroughly enjoy this product and the value it provides.
