Poor Cooling, Slow processing, Not Recommended
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Laptop has overheating issues, constantly running at 80C to 105C. My previous laptop was a 3rd gen i7 and it was running smoother with only 8Gb of RAM. The graphics constantly glitch out even with the latest graphics drivers from Lenovo or even direct from Intel. I would prefer a quality laptop for $600 over this model. This is my first garbage laptop purchased from Lenovo. I'm returning this and trying for another model that hopefully isn't as poorly engineered.

Posted .We are sorry to hear that you are having difficulty with your Intel Evo-Certified, Lenovo Yoga 7i 16, model number 82UF0000US. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 11. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. Here is a link to instructions for uninstalling McAfee from a Windows computer:  https://service.mcafee.com/?articleId=TS101331&page=shell&shell=article-view You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom of your Windows 11 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. Defective
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was defective. Couldn't even get through the setup. Returned it. Bought another one just like it at another store. Had the same problem. Returned it also. Then bought a Dell and had no problems. Best buy however should receive five stars for recognizing the problem and letting me return the first one after the two weeks Grace period

Disappointed.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It did not work out of the box. At first, the screen was dark. Then holding it in very bright light, I could dimly see something. It flickered a few times, then I was only able to get it to work in tablet mode. Eventually, I got it working, but was having troubles after installing a few of my school files. I tried to set it to factory, knowing I was going to return the unit, but it got stuck in boot mode and an error message kept popping up. Even Geek Squad couldn't figure it out. So back it went. Too bad. I wanted to like it. The specs were awesome, but what good are great specs if it doesn't work?

Awesome multi-use laptop with brilliant screen!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received this laptop as a free sample so that I could provide a review. Battery Life: excellent battery life actively and on standby. Charges via USB C which makes life easy. Graphics: The graphics on this device are fantastic. Crisp screen for viewing as well. I've been using it for video and photo editing and it handles these flawlessly. Great for common everyday tasks. The touch screen is super responsive. I also love being able to watch Netflix and Youtube on this as a tablet or in presentation mode. I typically use this device for mixed use of photo editing, word processing, and watching videos. The sound quality of the speakers is also quite good. I am typically an Apple user, and while I prefer OSX to Microsoft, the hardware of this device make it tempting to switch. I currently use a MacBook Pro 15". The screen on this is much more vibrant than my MacBook for sure, and I love the ability to use it as a touch screen. Would be nice to include a stylus like the SurfacePads. In terms of ports, it has an HDMI, USB3 x2, USB C x2, SD card reader, and headphone jack. Also able to unlock via facial recognition or fingerprint. Overall, a great experience with this device. In terms of the keyboard, I love the keys, but would rather go without the number pad at the far right. This is perhaps by biggest gripe with it. It is not a small laptop by any means. It is great for around the house, but it is somewhat of a clunker in terms of carrying around. The new graphics card from Intel is very responsive and renders beautiful graphics. Can't say enough good things about it. Overall, I would rate this at 4.75 stars. I think it is a solid multiuse laptop, but -0.25 for large size and lack of a stylus for the touch screen.

This laptop solves the issue with 2.5k LED display with 100mwh battery and one of the most powerful mobile processors ever made. i get 14 hrs battery of normal use a beautiful screen, powerful performance alot of ports and a kind of decent graphics card. get it while it lasts i see it one of best windows laptops available which rivals the MBP 16 which i also owned briefly.

great and fast laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used this Lenovo Yoga 7i 16'' for almost 2 weeks now, and it has been a great and pleasant experience. It is beautifully designed, and the wide screen is great for doing my daily work. The battery lasts pretty long, and it's very quiet. You can also use it as a tablet, and the keyboard will automatically popup on the screen. The laptop is very fast and smooth even with my big file download and upload, compares to my old laptop that takes forever to even load gmail. The only improvement that i would suggest is the mousepad. It's way too big for me, and it senses the "tap" while i type on keyboard. Overall, this is a great laptop for daily use, graphic design, and more! Love the large space and speed! Disclaim: i received this product as part of a free sample program

Love everything about it, wish it included the pen
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was the first laptop I had used in quite a while, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The last one I had died after a few hours of use and was so bulky and heavy. The Lenovo yoga is so the opposite of that. While it is larger in size, it is extremely thin and easy to carry. The screen itself is large, with hardly any border, which makes it feel even larger. There are so many different ways to use this "laptop" that I even hesitate to call it that. The tablet mode is great for design and drawing. It is compatible with a pen, but unfortunately does not come with one, which is the biggest downside. As I mentioned before, the battery is the biggest seller for me. I can use it all day and still not have to plug it in. When I use it plugged in, the battery pack does get extremely warm, so caution. Video graphics are top notch, as well as sound. I feel like I could use this laptop for all of my needs and still be extremally happy.

Lenovo-intel laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using this laptiop for about 10 days now and very much impressed with the product. I used to have intel products but was not satisfied and switched to apple. Now, my mac is 6 years old and have started to give up and slowed down. This intel laptop is definitely fast but it could be faster. It is very heavy and not easy to carry in your laptop bag hence 1 star down. Graphics are definitely better than previous intel version but keep in mind this is not a gaming laptop. Easy to do stuff like browsing, watching movies etc. It has a touch screen that is reliant. Face ID is okay. Have not tested finger ID yet. Battery last long around 4 hrs which is okay. Overall I am very satisfied with the product except that it could have been lighter.

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Intel Evo-Certified, Lenovo Yoga 7i 16, model number 82UF0000US. This Yoga 7i 16 ships with the latest, 12th Gen Intel Core i7-12700H Processor, with 14-Cores (6-Performace Cores + 8-Efficient Cores) and / 20-Threads total, P-core base speed 2.3GHz / Turbo Boost Speed of up to 4.7GHz, E-core base speed 1.7Ghz / Turbo Boost Speed of up to 3.5GHz, this processor is supported by 32GB Soldered LPDDR5-4800MHz RAM, a 1TB M.2 2242 PCIe 4.0x4 NVMe solid state hard drive for fast boot times and quick recall of local files and programs. Graphics processing is through the discrete, Intel Arc A370M GPU, with 4GB GDDR6 VRAM on the card. This high performance configuration weighs approximately 2.16 kg (4.76 lbs). This configuration ships with Intel Evo-Certified All-Day-Battery-Life, thanks to the Integrated 99.99Wh, Lithium-Polymer Battery, which within this model configuration, has a battery life of up to 10 hours, depending on the work the device is performing. If you are getting substantially less battery life first, set your screen brightness at less than 100-percent - try 80-percent to start with. Then, be sure Battery Charge Threshold is turned off. This power management setting should only be used when the laptop is plugged in all the time. It will prolong overall battery life by only charging the battery to 60-percent of capacity. You can turn off Battery Charge Threshold within the Lenovo Vantage APP installed on this computer. In Vantage select Battery Settings and turn off Battery Charge Threshold, if turned on. Also check what programs are running in the background on the computer. Be sure only the programs you want running in the background are. These programs will drain the battery. Here is a link to information about how to find out what programs are running in the background on your Windows 11 computer and how to manage them for better system performance: https://websiteforstudents.com/how-to-find-what-is-running-in-windows-11/. Then, finally, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 11. Incompatible software will drain the battery at a faster rate. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom of your Windows 11 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. New Daily Driver
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The cut-and-dry version is I really enjoy using this PC. Since receiving this laptop, I have driven it daily as a personal computer and substituted it part time as a work laptop(actively typing on it now). This laptop definitely has its weaknesses, but its strengths overshadow them. The look and feel of this laptop are excellent, and it yells quality based on usability and looks. Lenovo did a great job with the build quality, keeping great aesthetics and a quality feel. It’s a heavy laptop, but I’m willing to overlook it due to the rigidity and durable material it appears to be built with. The keyboard is great to type on; no, this is not the famous Lenovo ThinkPad keyboard, but it is still a pleasure to type on. The trackpad is nice and large and decent to use. I appreciate having the full number pad, but it took a bit to get used to typing off-center on the laptop. I was able to get excellent battery life while working in the field and working while on several long flights. This is important to me because I can only sometimes dock my laptop. I also disabled the ECO modes, running the laptop favoring performance, not battery life, and had no complaints about battery longevity. The aspect ratio of this display is PERFECT for large Excel documents! I regularly work on large documents, and the aspect ratio of this display makes me never want to buy another 16:9 display ever again. The display offers plenty of brightness to enjoy movies in a bright room, and the color accuracy looks close to that of more expensive laptops. The touch on this display was great and allowed wandering and editing through documents and websites a bit simpler. Unfortunately, I could not locate my stylus to use on this display. I consider myself a power user of my computers, I do a mix of basic office work, IT networking, video & photo editing, game playing, and video watching. This laptop was excellent for office work. It performed as expected for photo and video editing. It was garbage at gaming (most laptops are). And I enjoyed watching movies and videos on it. Creative Cloud ran fine on this hardware, heavy encodes and renders were for sure quicker on my MAC Book Pro, sometimes by several minutes, but I would not purchase this laptop for that style of work. Gaming on this laptop was almost unbearable; playback quality had to be dropped to the lowest quality to make it semi bearable. lower settings still had super low frame rates, but gaming on laptops has never been enjoyable, and I found the GPU was pegged at 100% trying to keep up with some popular titles. With that said, the GPU could keep up with driving a docked 5120x1440 display and its own display doing heavy office work with multiple windows and processes running simultaneously. Plenty of USB ports, Thank you Lenovo, for putting USB A ports on both sides of the laptop! The addition of an SSD card slot was nice; it prevented me from carrying my SSD dongle while traveling. I wish the laptop had an RJ45 port, but I get that it's thin, so that can be difficult; since it has two USB C ports, my dongle worked fine. The speakers sounded great and loud when they worked. But both right side speakers stopped working on day two. I still need to submit a support ticket, but I plan on doing so in the coming weeks. I assume this is just a minor manufacturing defect. Windows 11 still is not fun to use. I almost wiped the laptop and used Windows 10 several times but decided to hold off to give Windows 11 a try. This CPU and Ram combo ran Windows 11 and all my programs with little to no issues. Lenovo has some bloatware installed on the laptop when it arrives, but it's far less than Dell or HP; kudos to that! Still, I'm not too fond of Windows 11 and its quirks and counterintuitive changes, but I may stick with it on this laptop to continue trying it out. Overall this is a great laptop that has been a pleasure to use. The CPU handled everything I threw at it. The ARC GPU lacked a little but was expected in a laptop. It's nice seeing Lenovo step up their game in the Prosumer market. I’ve already recommended these to our IT department and will consider an equivalent spec model for my wife to use. I look forward to driving it daily and pushing it to its limit.

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Intel Evo-Certified, Lenovo Yoga 7i 16, model number 82UF0000US. Regarding your speaker issue, this Yoga 7i 16 model ships with 4 Stereo system speakers, 3W x2 (woofers), 2W x2 (tweeters), optimized with Dolby Atmos, Smart Amplifier (AMP) first, check your settings within the Dolby Atmos software to be sure they are set to your preferences. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 11. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. Great Potential but ruined by drivers and software
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I first got this laptop, it was a mess. The drivers for the gpu were broken. It made my entire screen blurry, and really gltichy. At one point it started to "bleach" my screen. I tried many troubleshooting steps but eventually had to reinstall windows to fix the problem. My issue is why release a laptop that has a brand new gpu that hasn't even been tested. The gpu is fine now after disabling auto driver update and installing drivers manually but this could've been easily avoided. What makes this laptop have good potential is the 2 in 1 capability. There is no other laptop out there that is just as powerful that comes in a 2 in 1 mode. I am a student, so this laptop always comes in clutch when I need to draw or take notes. The reason why I wouldn't recommend this laptop because of the terrible driver and software it comes with. It may have good potential but its just that, it will never reach it unless something is done about it. Let me explain about the drivers and software. In the 2 in 1 mode, the laptop will throttle heavily to the point where it becomes unusable. Though it is to "preserve" the temperature, the fans don't even run that fast. So at best you can only run 1 application at a time. The worst part is you can't do anything about it, no software or driver fix or option to disable it. One biggest thing is proprietary charging. You must use the charger that it came with or no fast charging. It will even throttle your laptop down a lot. In conclusion it's just something that I would not recommend. If you're a student and need a 2 in 1 feature, go for Samsung or some other brand. If you are looking for just a laptop, go for a laptop that has been out for a couple of months. The older the better. Again this laptop has so much potential but if none of these issues are addressed, this laptop will continue to suffer

Posted .Hello HarishS, we are sorry to hear that you have encountered issues with your Yoga 7i 16. In advance, this is a lengthy response, however we want to give you and other readers of this response as much information as possible to help ensure your issues are resolved should you encounter something similar in the future. First, regarding the drivers, as you discovered, upon completing updates issues can resolve themselves. There may be a significant amount of time elapsed during shipping from an assembling facility to your hands, there may be fixes that have been discovered for issues that cannot be installed until they are updated by the user. Staying up to date on Windows Updates and using Lenovo Vantage for BIOS and driver updates help keep your system running optimally. With your "throttling" issue, this Yoga 7i has an ability to manually adjust thermal settings by pressing the Fn key and Q to switch profiles for battery preservation, intelligent cooling, and high performance modes. Adjusting these settings can improve your system responsiveness. Now, your remark about "proprietary charging", this model Yoga 7i is a high performance machine, as you alluded to in your review, and to deliver a sufficient charge, a 100W USB Type C charger is included to keep performance high while delivering enough power to charger the battery under intensive workloads. This also applies for the rapid charge feature, as the higher wattage requirement required for this system means that if the user wants to take advantage of this feature, we recommend using the power adapter that comes with the Yoga in the box. Should you encounter issues in the future, we recommend reaching out to Lenovo Tech Support at this phone number for assistance: 877-453-6686.

Best laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved my new laptop and it's just very good. Browsing is very easy and fast. When I use it for the content creation it helps to edit videos and images very well and faster than my current device. For the web development it's faster and convenient. Battery life is very good and I don't have to charge it for longer stretches. It looks slim and classy designed look but I wish it was little lighter because it does feels heavy while carrying around. CPU performance is pretty good for Microsoft Office tasks, web browsing, editing. It's my new favorite device for all my tasks.
