Customers are delighted by the Yoga 7i 2-in-1 laptop's fast performance, lightweight design, and long battery life. They appreciate the touch screen's sensitivity and the overall price of the laptop. However, some customers have concerns about the limited number of USB ports, the durability of the hinge, and the warranty coverage.

Very nice, except the fan turns on frequently

The computer work very nicely. I am using this for school and so far no major issues. My only complaint is that the fan turns on even under a light load which is why it loses a star for me. I can be surfing online with only 5-10 tabs open on Microsoft edge and the fan periodically turns on and off and I can't figure out why. I am not very tech-y so maybe this is normal, but I have never encountered this before. However the fan is very quiet if you have it on a flat surface if you are holding it up then it is much more noticeable but that is a no brainer. The chassis remains very cool at all times (maybe that is why the fan turns on so quickly?). Just another tiny nitpick, there is only 1 usb-a port and if you buy the Lenovo pen that comes with the pen holder, the pen holder takes up the only usb-a port available and you can't stick a flash drive in. Other positives include the two in one design and the finger print reader is very nice and convenient.

Thank you for choosing the Intel Evo-Certified, Lenovo Yoga 7i 14. You can use Lenovo Q-Control to manually control fan and system performance: ( Fn + Q ) option to change the fan by undervolting the processor. If you find that you need more standard USB Type A ports, you may want to consider using a portable USB Hub like this one:  https://www.bestbuy.com/site/insignia-4-port-usb-3-0-hub-black/4333600.p?skuId=4333600 Lenovo

Great computer. I got it for my son for high school and he loves it. It’s very fast, light and sturdy due to the aluminum body. It has everything we were looking g for: good processor, large ROM and SSD, light, awesome battery and having a touch screen. He uses as a computer and tablet. I recommend getting the extended warranty from Lenovo. Great machine.

I had to install Windows 11, this laptop came with 10. The speed and ease of use, compact size, memory, and processor are a good mix for me. I particularly like the fingerprint sign-on to windows. No help from Geek Squad in getting this to work, I had to figure this out myself.

I bought this for 650 on sale and I'm super picky. I wanted a 2 in 1 that was light, has excellent battery life and is fast. It needed to have top firing speakers as well. I tried an hp for my wife also, it had bad battery life, I almost bought the asus zenbook for me as it was a pound lighter. I got one of those for my wife, it's nice as well but not quite as strong on battery, no top speakers and not a 2 in 1. Both are great machines depending on what you prioritize. For me on this machine, a light good battery life and decent speakers sold me. Dislikes: It only has 1 full size usb port, and two usb c ports. No built in hdmi or sd card slot. You must use an adapter to do much with it such as external monitors. I dislike that part the most, however I guess it's great that it charges via usb c. Having tried a hp 2 in 1 for the wife that was equipped similarly, it had more ports built in, it wasn't thicker or heavier. I feel like Lenovo dropped the ball on that, however I still like it enough on my other priorities that I'll overlook those omissions.

This thing rocks! I was trying to go toward a Thinkpad, my last one lasted 6 years but I really didn't want to spend that kind of money. I originally purchased an HP 2-in-1 but the quality of it was sub-par and it was quite slow even though it was built on the Evo platform. I was debating on saving a few bucks and going with a 10th gen processor but I'm glad I didn't. This thing is quick and the battery lasts a while. While it's no gaming machine it honestly surprised me how well it performs under load. Wi-Fi 6 is fantastic and the speakers are good too, they are upward-facing which I found out I prefer. When I first started updating it the backlight for the screen turned off, I was a little concerned at first but I was able to turn the brightness up and it came back on. Now you can turn the backlight for the screen off, I don't know why that would be desirable but hey, the option is there. Not the brightest screen but it does go pretty dim which is nice because I use the laptop in mostly darker areas. Overall very satisfied.

So far so good. Nice and fast and easy to use, light, seems perfect for me. Wish the camera wasn't just inside, wish it could take pictures outward as well so that I could scan things and take pictures of things without my hand being in the way. So far that's my only complaint.

My review is best done by comparing the new Yoga 7I 14" against my 3-year-old Yoga 720 13": 1. 14" screen vs. 13". 2. 12 GB vs. 8 GB RAM. 3. 500 GB disk vs. 256 GB. 4. Double the battery life. 5. Both Thunderbolt ports (USB type C) on 7i support charging or video output. 6. Fingerprint reader now works reliably for a longer time a few weeks instead of a few days. 7. Laptop powers up when the lid is opened - don’t have to press the On/Off button after opening the lid. 8. Speakers sound much better. 9. The touch screen works even when the screen brightness is turned off. Needed for external monitor navigation. 10. Paid $100 less for Yoga 7i vs. yoga 720 3 years ago. Both on sale at BB. 11. Little or no fan noise.

I have used my new, to me, Lenovo Yoga 7i 2in1, 14 inch laptop for 4 weeks, and have been pleased with performance and value. I bought this through Best Buy Open Box and the computer data showed Win 11 and battery were installed over 6 months ago. I'm not a gamer or heavy user with spread sheets or multiple tabs open, check Cnet where they show this Lenovo line as a good buy, $1000 or less, 14 inch. My earlier model didn't have HDMI or SD card slots, included with current models. I enjoy the touch screen display, back lit keyboard, and speakers, light weight too. I have owned other Lenovo devices and have been happy with their performance, quality, price

Overall, the laptop performs very well. However, the hinge was broken right after the one-year warranty expired (e.g., two months later). I purchased an extended warranty and submitted a trouble ticket to Lenovo. Hopefully, they will take care of this issue.

I received this laptop on 11/22/2020 and have been using it for 1 day now. So far I am very happy. It was on sale for 750.00, however, I think it is worth the 900, but for 750 it is an absolute steal. Build quality is exceptional. It is all metal and feels sturdy. Battery life has also been great. I haven't ran it down to empty yet but I think this will easily get 10 solid hours of mixed use. I came from a Lenovo Flex 5 from Costco with the 10th Gen i5 and this just feels much snappier. It boots from off in about 5 seconds and plowed through all the windows updates in about 15 minutes. Multiple thunderbolt ports, USB-c charging, and a standard USB are the perfect ports for most people i think. The screen seems much clearer and brighter than the Flex 5. The perfect computer for lots of people.

It's lightweight, powerful enough for editing and writing tasks, and jumps rapidly between multiple tabs and programs. The minimalist styling is very attractive, especially the smooth metal body, but it could stand to have a few more ports.

Needed to upgrade an older slower Asus computer. This model Lenovo was on sale at Best Buys and had more ram and features than other computers I reviewed. So far the speed is very good and the layout very similar to prior units so no learning curve. The one major con for me is lack of ports, you need to have a USB hub. The hub must be plugged in on the left side only. My preference is right side to access wall outlets. So far no other issues. Good basic computer.
